  Wilson reverted to the Dolphins' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction report. Wilson was elevated to the Dolphins' active roster for a second straight week but saw minimal work on special teams during Sunday's 33-27 loss to the Patriots. The veteran running back is eligible to be elevated from the practice squad one more time, at which point the Dolphins would have to sign Wilson to the active roster in order for him to be available for the rest of the season.

  Wilson was elevated from the Dolphins' practice squad to the active roster Saturday. The 29-year-old will now join the Dolphins' active roster for the second consecutive week, providing extra depth at running back due to Jaylen Wright (knee) likely being out again in the Week 2 matchup against the Patriots. Wilson played just one offensive snap in Miami's Week 1 loss, so he's likely to play a depth role in the team's backfield once again Sunday.

Wilson would be a top candidate to be elevated for Miami's Week 2 AFC East clash against New England if Wright remains sidelined.

  The Dolphins have elevated Wilson to the active roster from the practice squad Saturday in advance of Sunday's regular-season opener on the road at Indianapolis. Wilson is primed for the No. 3 role in Miami's backfield Week 1 behind De'Von Achane and Ollie Gordon, a gig he could be asked to handle as long as Jaylen Wright (knee) remains sidelined. The 29-year-old Wilson suited up for 19 regular-season games with the Dolphins in 2023 and 2024.

  Wilson is signing with Miami's practice squad Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Wilson is familiar with coach Mike McDaniel's rushing scheme and gives the Dolphins some depth at running back, with De'Von Achane (calf) injured but expected to be ready for Week 1 but Jaylen Wright (leg) a candidate to miss a bit of time early in the year. If Miami's backfield health doesn't improve in time to face off against the Colts in Week 1, it's possible Wilson gets elevated from the practice squad, though if Achane is healthy Wilson would figure to work, at best, in a reserve No. 3 capacity behind Ollie Gordon.
