The third-year wideout was pretty quiet thereafter, though he did lead Green Bay with seven targets and finished second with 50 receiving yards. Quarterback Jordan Love spread the ball around pretty evenly between Doubs, Jayden Reed (six targets) and Christian Watson (five targets), but Doubs was the only one of the trio not to catch a touchdown in the season-opening loss. Doubs figures to remain substantially involved in the team's offense Week 2 versus the Colts, though the Packers' potential for success in the passing game could hinge on the health of Love, who left the game in the waning seconds of the final period with an apparent leg injury.

Doubs surprisingly was included on Green Bay's first Week 1 injury report with a hand issue, which capped his reps at Tuesday's practice and led to an estimated limited listing Wednesday. Having said that, he logged a full session to end the week and thus is ready for the team's season opener. Doubs is coming off a 59-674-8 line on 96 targets in 17 regular-season games in his second campaign as a pro in 2023.

  Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said Monday that Doubs has "super strong hands" and is "pretty tremendous" at running routes, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports. Doubs hype is reaching a crescendo in the second week of training camp, with a slew of Packers beat writers reporting that the wideout has been one of the team's standout performers. Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander poured fuel on the fire Tuesday when he said Doubs is his second-favorite receiver in the league (after former teammate Davante Adams) and acknowledged that the 24-year-old often wins their one-on-one battles in practice, per Paul Bretl of 105.5 ESPN La Crosse. Quarterback Jordan Love has also expressed confidence this summer in Doubs, who had 234 yards in two playoff games this past January after finishing the regular season with 674 receiving yards. The enthusiasm is encouraging, but Doubs will still face stout target and snap competition from fellow young wideouts Jayden Reed, Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks.
