The Dolphins signed Prince to the practice squad Friday. Prince built some momentum during the preseason with Kansas City, and he now resurfaces in one of the only landing spots around the league as intriguing as his previous offense. Coach Mike McDaniel's rushing scheme seems like one Prince could thrive in, if given an opportunity, but his path to game-day activation is murky. The Dolphins have reason to be confident in both Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson as capable contributors if either of Raheem Mostert or De'Von Achane are forced to miss any time.

Kansas City has waived Prince, according to Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star. With Prince not slated to be included on the team's initial 53-man roster, Carson Steele appears to have secured a depth role in the backfield behind Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Prince could still land on Kansas City's practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Prince rushed four times for 16 yards and brought in both targets for 10 yards in the Chiefs' 26-13 preseason loss to the Jaguars on Saturday night. He also returned one kickoff for 25 yards. Prince was the third running back to record a touch after Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire had finished their work for the night. The second-year Tulsa product currently slots in as the No. 3 running back on the preseason depth chart, but he'll have to hold off the more experienced Keaontay Ingram for that role over the remaining two preseason games.

Prince reverted to the Chiefs' practice squad Monday. Despite the absence of Isiah Pacheco (shoulder), Prince was unable to crack the backfield rotation of Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon. Prince played just five snaps on special teams and none on offense. He'll wait for another opportunity to be elevated, which could happen Week 15 against the Patriots if Pacheco sits out for a second straight game.

Prince was elevated from the practice squad Saturday. It'll be interesting to see how the Chiefs will utilize Prince, especially in the absence of Isiah Pacheco (shoulder). Head coach Andy Reid stated Clyde Edwards-Helaire would be the team's de-facto starter and it's widely expected Jerick McKinnon will likely see a significant snap share as the team's pass-catching back, but it's possible the rookie Prince could whittle away at the former's opportunities, especially in obvious running situations.
