Atwell caught his only target for six yards during Sunday's 23-15 loss to the Dolphins. As expected after last week's splits, Atwell served as a backup option to starters Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua and Demarcus Robinson. The speedy veteran did outsnap Tyler Johnson and Jordan Whittington, but the former ended up with the most production out of the trio, catching three of four targets for 25 yards. Atwell looks unlikely to break out of his rotational role with the Patriots on deck in Week 11.

Atwell caught one of three targets for 16 yards during Sunday's 26-20 overtime win against the Seahawks. Even with Puka Nacua (knee) being ejected at the end of the first half, Atwell managed just 26 snaps on offense and took a back seat to Demarcus Robinson and Tyler Johnson as the secondary targets behind Cooper Kupp. Taking out Weeks 3-8, where Atwell produced a solid 20-284-0 receiving line over four games, he has just five catches for 82 yards in the remaining four games. Atwell's role is likely to stay reduced with Kupp, Nacua and Robinson at the front of the Rams' passing game in a Week 10 contest against the Dolphins.

Atwell secured one of two targets for 18 yards in the Rams' 30-20 win over the Vikings on Thursday night. With Puka Nacua (knee) and Cooper Kupp (ankle) both returning from multi-game absences Thursday, Atwell predictably saw his opportunities narrow considerably. The fourth-year speedster had generated a 20-284-0 line on 30 targets over the previous four games, but he figures to continue in a hard-to-trust reserve role when the Rams face off with the Seahawks on the road in a Week 9 divisional battle on Sunday, Nov. 3.

Even with Kupp coming back, I see Atwell as a boom/bust WR3 that could make your day with just one play. His 26.5% explosive/target rate ranks fourth in the NFL behind Nico Collins, Rashod Bateman, and Ja'Marr Chase.

Both Atwell and Whittington are in play this week, but only if Cooper Kupp is out. Since Week 3, both have a 21.6% target share but have produced 2.45 yards per route run to Whittington's 2.18 and 1.81 Fantasy points per route run to Whittington's 1.61. My preference is Atwell, but I wouldn't spend much FAB on either, even in a great matchup against the Raiders.
