• Packers' Dontayvion Wicks: Finds pay dirt in win

  Wicks was targeted four times and caught three passes for 26 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 16-10 victory over the Colts. Wicks was held without a reception Week 1, but it did not take him long to make a mark Week 2, as he hauled in a touchdown pass from Malik Willis in the first quarter of Sunday's contest. Wicks finished fourth among Packers receivers in snaps for the second time as many weeks, but the snap distribution was more spread out among the top five wideouts than it was in the opener. Whether that's because Willis was under center rather than Jordan Love is not evident, so while things look better for Wicks than they did after one contest, his stock has seemingly not been altered significantly.

  Wicks was targeted three times and did not catch a pass in Friday's 34-29 loss to the Eagles. Wicks was on the field for 31 of the 67 plays Green Bay ran Friday, but he was unable to haul in any of the passes thrown his direction. A productive rookie campaign made Wicks a trendy sleeper pick in fantasy drafts, but he finished fourth among Packers wideouts in snaps in Week 1, and he will presumably remain the fourth option at his position as long as the three receivers who played more than him stay healthy.

  The Packers have a crowded receiving corps with Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Wicks, but Wicks is still worth stashing in all leagues. He closed last season with at least 15.7 PPR points in two of his final three games with Watson hurt, and Wicks could be a starter in all leagues if any of the top three guys go down again.

  Wicks caught his only target for 65 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 23-10 preseason win over the Browns. The second-year wideout was on the other end of a downfield strike from Jordan Love on the Packers' first possession, and both players called it a day after that. Wicks is jockeying for snaps and targets this season with Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed in a crowded Green Bay receiving corps, and showing strong chemistry with Love in the preseason can only help his standing.

  Wicks took only six of a possible 26 snaps with the first-team offense during the Packers' Family Night practice Saturday, Justin Mosqueda of Acme Packing Co. reports. Romeo Doubs led the WRs with 21 first-team snaps, followed by Christian Watson (19) and Jayden Reed (16). It's only one practice, but this adds to the concerns about Wicks not getting regular playing time despite making the most of his limited opportunities as a rookie. The 2023 fifth-round pick led the Packers in yards per target (10.0) and yards per route (2.13) last season, putting up a 39-581-4 line on just 58 targets, 273 routes and 458 snaps over 15 regular-season games. In different circumstances, Wicks might now slot in as a comfortable starter with a full workload. His current reality, however, is that the Packers' impressive depth at wide receiver means he'll have to continue battling for snaps.
