Pearsall is expected to enter training camp as San Francisco's starting wide receiver opposite Mike Evans, Kyle Madson of USA Today reports. Pearsall is positioned for a significant role after injuries limited him to nine regular-season appearances in 2025. With Jauan Jennings having signed with the Vikings and Brandon Aiyuk seemingly out of the picture, the 25-year-old clearly projects as Brock Purdy's No. 2 wide receiver behind Evans. Christian Kirk is expected to handle slot duties, while rookie second-round pick De'Zhaun Stribling and Demarcus Robinson provide depth, but it's Pearsall and Evans who project to see the field in 21 personnel sets, which the 49ers deployed at a league-high rate in 2025. A healthy season would position Pearsall for the biggest workload of his NFL career.

Pearsall (knee) will be listed as questionable for Saturday's divisional-round game against the Seahawks, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. Pearsall, who continues to manage a PCL injury in his right knee, was inactive in Weeks 16 and 18 as well as the 49ers' wild-card win over the Eagles this past Sunday. For his part, the wideout has been able to practice in a limited fashion this week and is optimistic that he'll play this weekend, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic, but given his official 'questionable' designation, Pearsall's status will still need to be monitored ahead of the 8:00 p.m ET kickoff.

Pearsall (knee/ankle) was officially estimated as limited in Tuesday's walkthrough practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. The 49ers held a walkthrough session Tuesday, so Pearsall's activity level is only an estimate, but it appears he's ready to retake the practice field for the first time since Dec. 31. He's managing an ankle injury in addition to an aggravated PCL sprain in his right knee. With standout tight end George Kittle having suffered a season-ending Achilles tear during a wild-card win over Philadelphia, it would be a notable boost for the Niners' receiving corps if Pearsall is able to return for Saturday's divisional-round matchup with Seattle.

San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Pearsall (knee/ankle) will be listed as a limited participant in Tuesday's walkthrough practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Pearsall hasn't practiced over the past two weeks after aggravating a right knee PCL injury in addition to injuring his ankle, but the wideout is showing some progress as the 49ers gear up for a divisional-round matchup with the Seahawks on Saturday. If Pearsall is available for the contest, there should be targets up for grabs after star tight end George Kittle suffered a season-ending torn Achilles tendon in a wild-card win over the Eagles.

Pearsall (knee/ankle) is inactive for Sunday's playoff game against the Eagles. Pearsall, who was also inactive in Week 18, was deemed a non-participant in practice Wednesday through Friday before being listed by the 49ers as questionable for the contest. In his continued absence, look for Demarcus Robinson and Kendrick Bourne to see added snaps Sunday alongside fellow WR Jauan Jennings, with Skyy Moore and Malik Turner also available to mix in.
