The Dolphins cut Rucci from the practice squad Tuesday. It's the second time Rucci has been let go from the Dolphins' practice squad this season. The undrafted rookie out of Wisconsin has not appeared in a regular-season game, and he'll look to catch on with a team that is in need of tight end depth on the practice squad.

Miami signed Rucci to its practice squad Wednesday. The Dolphins just cut Rucci from their practice squad three weeks ago, but they've now opted to bring him back aboard ahead of Week 11. After Tanner Conner (knee) was sent to injured reserve Wednesday, it makes some sense for Miami to explore depth options at tight end.

The Dolphins signed Rucci to the practice squad Thursday. Rucci signed with Miami in May as an undrafted free agent. The Wisconsin product entered training camp competing for a depth spot at tight end, but he was ultimately omitted from the 53-man roster. Rucci had a strong finish to the preseason, catching five passes (on six targets) for 44 yards and one touchdown against the Buccaneers on Friday. He'll stick around on the Dolphins' taxi squad and stay ready for a promotion to the active roster.
