Forbes secured one solo tackle and five passes defensed, including an interception, in Sunday night's 34-7 victory over the Buccaneers. Forbes has really been on a heater, and he once again made a splash play in Week 12, picking off Baker Mayfield on a hail mary throw prior to halftime. The cornerback has now registered 10 total tackles (eight solo) and 11 passes defensed, including three interceptions, over four games since the Rams' bye in Week 8.

Forbes will be sidelined for at least one week due to a hamstring injury, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. Forbes has struggled to maintain a regular role in the secondary with both the Commanders and Rams since being selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He is expected to serve in a depth role with Los Angeles in 2025, and this injury doesn't look likely to affect his regular-season availability.

Forbes, a 2023 first-round pick, was waived by Washington late December then claimed by Los Angeles. With a limited time to integrate himself to a new defensive scheme, Forbes was then unable to carve out a consistent depth role with his new squad. He didn't play a single snap in either of the team's two playoff appearances. With two years remaining on his rookie deal, Forbes will enter the offseason working to better adapt to a role with the Rams.

Forbes (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. The Rams claimed Forbes off waivers Dec. 2 after being cut by the Commanders in late November. However, the 2023 first-round pick has been a healthy scratch since the waiver claim. Forbes' next opportunity to play will be Week 17 against the Cardinals on Saturday, Dec. 28.

Coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that Forbes is unlikely to play Sunday against the Bills, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. The No. 16 overall pick in the 2023 Draft, Forbes was claimed off waivers from the Commanders on Monday, and it would be unfair to expect him to be up to speed on the defense in such short order. This Forbes move by Los Angeles was as much about the future as it is about the present. Washington's new coaching staff threw in the towel on Forbes after he appeared in six games this season. He'd played just eight defensive snaps since Week 7.
