  Achane rushed 12 times for 41 yards and brought in all seven targets for 35 yards in the Dolphins' 20-12 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also fumbled once but possession remained with Miami. Achane doubled up Raheem Mostert in carries and finished with his highest rushing yardage total since Week 11. While Achane failed to average even 4.0 yards per carry for the fourth straight contest, he was once again heavily involved as a receiver. He's recorded at least six catches in three straight games, but he'll aim to get back on track on the ground in a Week 16 home matchup against a 49ers defense that's had trouble against the run on occasion.

• Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Rushing TD, six catches in OT win

  Achane rushed 14 times for 24 yards and a touchdown while catching six of seven targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime win over the Jets. Achane finally opened the scoring with a two-yard touchdown run after mustering just one yard on three previous rushing attempts inside the 3-yard line. He later went to the medical tent to be evaluated for a concussion after taking a big hit, per CBS sideline reporter Melanie Collins, and Achane spent a significant chunk of the first half on the sideline before checking back in on Miami's final drive before halftime. He failed to find much running room but remained heavily involved as a pass catcher, as has been customary when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa plays. Heading into a Week 15 trip to Houston, Achane has racked up at least six receptions in six of Tagovailoa's nine starts this season.

  Achane rushed 10 times for 97 yards while catching six of eight targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Cardinals. Achane got 47 of his 147 scrimmage yards on an explosive third-quarter run, and he fittingly capped that drive with a 12-yard touchdown catch. He finished with 16 touches while Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Wright combined for 12, but Mostert's nine carries included a pair of short touchdown runs. Achane and Mostert coexisted effectively in Achane's 2023 rookie season, and the return of Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) under center raises the ceiling for Miami's entire offense heading into a Week 9 trip to Buffalo.

• Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Optimism for Week 7

  Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said he's "optimistic" that Achane (concussion) will fully clear the NFL's concussion protocol after Friday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Achane still needs to gain clearance from an independent neurologist, but he's otherwise practiced in full this week and seems to be trending in the right direction coming out of a Week 6 bye. Assuming he indeed gains full clearance in time for Sunday's road matchup in Indianapolis, he'll figure to lead Miami's speedy backfield, in which Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Wright also are pushing for touches.

• Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Another full practice

  Achane (concussion) was a full practice participant Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Achane has now logged back-to-back full practices without a non-contract jersey, seemingly putting him in the final stage of concussion protocol, at which point he needs clearance from a neurologist before playing in Sunday's game at Indianapolis. Assuming that happens, he'll step in as the leader of a speedy, talented backfield in which Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Wright loom as threats to take a portion of the snaps/carries.
