Colts' Daniel Jones: Likely headed for surgery
Daniel Jones is feared to have suffered a torn right Achilles that will require surgery, but confirmation will come Monday, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.Jones suffered a non-contact lower-leg injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 36-19 loss to Jacksonville, and he is now likely slated to miss the remainder of the season as a result. The quarterback was in the midst of a resurgent campaign with Indianapolis, but it unfortunately appears headed toward a premature end. Riley Leonard replaced Jones at quarterback in Week 14, but Anthony Richardson (orbital) could be in the picture as well to start for the Indianapolis Colts when/if he's able to return to action.

Jones later tallied his second score of the game on a 12-yard connection with Tyler Warren. Colts' Daniel Jones: Ready to go Sunday
Coach Shane Steichen confirmed Friday that Daniel Jones (fibula) will play Sunday against the Texans, Amanda Foster of the Indianapolis Colts' official site reports. The QB officially does not carry an injury designation for the contest.Jones was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough, but he was a full practice participant both Thursday and Friday, which paves the way for him to play through his fibula injury against the 6-5 Texans, who have won three straight games and will welcome starting signal-caller C.J. Stroud back to their starting lineup Sunday. With regard to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport's report that Jones has a fractured fibula, James Boyd of The Athletic relays that the Colts would neither confirm nor deny it. For his part, coach Shane Steichen told Boyd on Friday, "Talking to our trainers and our doctors and Daniel himself, we would never put him out there if we thought something could go wrong there," while indicating that he believes the QB's fibula can heal/improve this season even while he's still playing on it. When asked if Jones' fibula injury will limit certain parts of the Colts offense this weekend, Steichen said, "We'll manage. But again, we're not going to limit anything that we do offensively from a game-plan standpoint. ... We're ready to go. He's ready to go."

Colts' Daniel Jones: Works fully through fibula issue
Daniel Jones (fibula) was listed as full practice participant Thursday. After being listed as limited in Wednesday's walkthrough, Jones worked fully a day later, though James Boyd of The Athletic noted that the QB didn't look as fluid as normal during Thursday's session. That's not surprising, given that NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Jones is dealing with a fractured fibula. While Rapoport indicates that it's an injury Jones is not concerned about, it will still be worth circling back Friday to confirm the signal-caller's final game status ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans.

Meanwhile, James Boyd of The Athletic previously noted during the practice that Jones "does not look as fluid as normal," with Rapoport's report adding notable context to that observation. Colts' Daniel Jones: Will be deemed limited in walk-through
Coach Shane Steichen said that Daniel Jones (fibula) will be listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate, but added that the QB will "be good to go this week," James Boyd of The Athletic reports.Jones popped up on the Indianapolis Colts' Week 12 injury report when he was limited last Thursday before working fully Friday and suiting up for the team's 23-20 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. Colts' Daniel Jones: Modest numbers in OT loss
Daniel Jones completed 19 of 31 passes for 181 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while adding three carries for 16 yards in the Indianapolis Colts' 23-20 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.Jones was under 200 passing yards for the first time all season, but he offset the downturn with his first multi-touchdown-pass effort in the last three games. Jones connected with Michael Pittman and Drew Ogletree for scoring tosses of six and four yards, respectively, yet the majority of his success came during the first two quarters. Jones led Indianapolis to only six points after halftime, a key in the Chiefs mounting a comeback from a 20-9 deficit. The veteran signal-caller draws a tough matchup next week as well, as the Texans drop in for a key AFC South clash next Sunday.
