  • Dolphins' Jason Sanders: Bright spot in embarrassing loss

Sanders converted both of his field-goal attempts and his only extra-point try during Sunday's 56-19 loss to Baltimore.

Sanders converted field goals from 38 and 27 yards out Sunday, but as the Ravens' lead slowly expanded, Miami was forced to pursue touchdowns more aggressively and foresake the kicking game. As long as the Dolphins are able to keep Week 18's crucial divisional matchup against Buffalo closer, Sanders should see more scoring opportunities. In seven appearances since the Dolphins' bye, Sanders has averaged 2.7 field-goal tries per game.

  • Cairo Santos K | CHI

Bears' Cairo Santos: Records 13 points in victory

Santos converted three of four field-goal attempt in the Bears' 37-17 win over the Falcons on Sunday.

Since Week 10, Santos has been an excellent fantasy option. The veteran kicker has tallied at least nine points in six of his last seven games, and he should remain a solid lineup option in Week 18 at Green Bay, as long as the weather cooperates.

  • Mason Crosby K | NYG

Giants' Mason Crosby: Misses potential game-winning FG

Crosby went 2-for-3 on field-goal tries and 1-for-2 on extra-point attempts in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Rams.

Crosby hit a 31-yard field goal to end the first half and a 32-yarder early in the fourth quarter, but he couldn't come through on a much more challenging 54-yarder that could have won the game with 35 seconds remaining in the contest. That kick was necessitated in part by Crosby's missed extra point in the third period, as New York consequently trailed by one and opted to try to take the lead with a failed two-point conversion following a Gunner Olszewski 94-yard punt-return TD with 3:27 remaining in the game. Crosby's opportunity to kick has come as a result of Graham Gano (knee) and Randy Bullock (hamstring) landing on IR, and the former Packer has gone 3-for-4 on field-goal tries and 3-for-4 on extra-point attempts over the past two weeks.

  • Blake Grupe K | IND

Saints' Blake Grupe: Perfect in Week 17 win

Grupe converted on 3-for-3 field-goal attempts and 2-for-2 point-after tries during Sunday's 23-13 victory over Tampa Bay.

Grupe made a significant impact for the first time since the Week 12 loss to Atlanta. The rookie out of Notre Dame went just 1-for-2 on field-goal tries over the previous four contests, but he converted three field goals of 28 to 45 yards Week 17. Grupe also remained perfect on his 33rd and 34th PATs of the season, and he has now converted 28 of 35 field-goal tries over the first 16 games of his career. He'll look to finish his rookie season strong when the Saints vie for a potential playoff spot with a Week 18 win versus Atlanta.

  • Panthers' Eddy Pineiro: Doesn't play after pregame injury

Pineiro didn't log any snaps on special teams in Sunday's 26-0 loss to the Jaguars after experiencing tightness in his right hamstring during pregame warmups, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Pineiro was active for the contest, but after suffering the pregame injury, Carolina deemed him questionable to be available, according to Kaye. Linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill handled the opening kickoff in Pineiro's stead, and Carolina then bypassed a field-goal attempt on 4th-and-7 at the Jacksonville 21-yard line in pursuit of an unsuccessful first down. Carolina ultimately went three-and-out on its ensuing six possessions and fell into a 19-0 hole, after which attempting field goals became a moot point. Pineiro will presumably be sent in for further evaluation in the coming days, and if there's any concern he won't be available for the Week 18 finale versus the Buccaneers, Carolina will presumably add another kicker to its 53-man roster or practice squad.

  • Mason Crosby K | NYG

Giants' Mason Crosby: Will kick for NYG again Week 17

The Giants elevated Crosby from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

New York has dealt with a litany of kicker injuries this season, as Graham Gano (knee) and Randy Bullock (hamstring) are on IR and Cade York (quadriceps) is on the practice squad/injured list. Crosby was consequently signed to the team's practice squad Dec. 22 and was subsequently elevated for last Sunday's loss to Philadelphia, converting his lone field-goal attempt and both extra-point tries. The former Packer will get another opportunity to kick against the Rams in Week 17, and it seems likely that he'll do so in the Giants' season finale Jan. 7 versus Philadelphia as well.

  • Riley Patterson: Reverts to practice squad

Patterson reverted to Cleveland's practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Filling in for an injured Dustin Hopkins Thursday night against the Jets, Patterson made his lone field-goal attempt and four of his five extra-point tries. It's unclear if Hopkins will be ready for the Browns' Week 18 regular-season finale.

  • Mike Badgley K | BUF

Lions' Michael Badgley: Signed to active roster

The Lions signed Badgley to the active roster from their practice squad Friday.

Badgley was eligible for his third and final elevation ahead of Saturday's game at Dallas, but Detroit opted to sign him to the active roster outright, signifying its confidence in the placekicker for the final two outings of the regular season and however long the team lasts in the playoffs. In two games to date, he's netted his only field-goal attempt (37 yards) and struck true on nine of 10 point-after tries.

  • Browns' Riley Patterson: Fills in for Hopkins

Patterson converted his lone field-goal attempt and four of five extra-point kicks in Thursday's 37-20 win over the Jets in Week 17.

The Browns signed Patterson to the practice squad earlier in the week with the intent for him to fill in for Dustin Hopkins (hamstring). Cleveland clinched a spot in the postseason with the win and may not want to rush Hopkins, who not only stabilized a shaky kicking game but also was critical in several wins. Patterson's lone field goal was a 33-yarder that made it a three-score game late in the fourth quarter.

  • Jets' Greg Zuerlein: Makes two FGs, has one blocked

Zuerlein (quadriceps) made two of three field-goal attempts and both PAT tries in Thursday's 37-20 loss to the Browns.

Zuerlein connected from 46 yards and 44 yards but had a 31-yard attempt blocked in between. He came into the game nursing a quadriceps injury but played through it. Zuerlein's blocked field-goal attempt was just his second miss in 34 tries heading into the Week 18 season finale against the Patriots.
