  • Nick Folk K | NYJ

Patriots' Nick Folk: Makes three FGs in opener

Folk made all three of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Dolphins, en route to recording 10 points.

Folk, who was promoted from the Patriots' practice squad late Saturday, did nothing to lose the team's kicking job in Week 1, but it's still possible that he and rookie Quinn Nordin could be involved in some more roster-shuffling ahead of New England's Week 2 contest against the Jets.

  • Greg Joseph K | LV

Vikings' Greg Joseph: Converts clutch 53-yard field goal

Joseph made a 53-yard field goal at the end of regulation in Sunday's loss to Cincinnati to send the game to overtime. It was his only field-goal attempt and he also converted all three extra-point tries.

Joseph wasn't overly impressive in the preseason, so converting a clutch long kick likely buys him some job security given head coach Mike Zimmer's propensity for switching kickers.

  • Steelers' Chris Boswell: Perfect in opener

Boswell converted on all three of his field-goal attempts while making both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Bills.

Boswell faced some competition from Samuel Sloman during the preseason, but the veteran won the starting job to begin the regular season. The Steelers were held scoreless in the first half in Sunday's season opener, but the 30-year-old converted a pair of field goals in the third quarter before making a 45-yard attempt late in the fourth. Boswell made 95 percent of his field-goal attempts in 2020 and got off to a productive start in the 2021 campaign.

  • Broncos' Brandon McManus: Perfect in win

McManus connected on both of his field-goal attempts and all three extra-point attempts in Sunday's 27-13 win against the Giants.

McManus converted from 23 yards during the second quarter and 36 yards in the fourth quarter. The 30-year-old was perfect Sunday, and he has a great chance to keep it going when the Broncos visit the Jaguars on Sunday.

  • Joey Slye K | TEN

Texans' Joey Slye: Big game in opener

Slye converted all three field-goal attempts and four extra-point kicks in Sunday's 37-21 win over Jacksonville.

Slye was added to the active roster from the practice squad because primary kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn (leg) was inactive. His productive 13-point day may be enticing, but unless Fairbairn's injury is significant, it does not mean much for Slye's fantasy prospects for the season.

  • Cairo Santos K | CHI

Bears' Cairo Santos: Quiet in losing effort

Santos converted a pair of extra points in the Bears' 34-14 loss to the Rams on Sunday.

With the Bears offense having limited success against an excellent Rams defense, Santos wasn't called upon for a single field-goal attempt. However, as the schedule eases up, the Bears have the type of offense that can move the ball but fail to finish drives, which gives Santos the ability for spike weeks in the scoring column.

  • Browns' Chase McLaughlin: Makes minor impact

McLaughlin made three of three extra-point kicks in Sunday's 33-29 loss to the Chiefs.

McLaughlin came out of the preseason as the only rostered kicker, but it wasn't until just before the start of the regular season that the Browns confirmed him as their placekicker. That left his status murky entering fantasy drafts, but he did nothing to lose the job Sunday. The Browns scored touchdowns on all four trips to the red zone, and head coach Kevin Stefanski opted for a two-point conversion following an encroachment penalty on what was supposed to be a kick. Three of his five kickoffs were touchbacks, and the two kicks that were returned left the Chiefs with an average field position of the 19.5-yard line.

  • Mike Badgley K | BUF

Titans' Michael Badgley: Struggles with opening opportunity

Badgley missed his only field-goal attempt and converted one of his two extra-point attempts in Sunday's Week 1 contest against Arizona.

Badgley joined the Titans on Saturday, but didn't endear himself in his first opportunity with the team. His first kick was a missed extra point partway through the second quarter, and one drive later he pushed a 46-yard field-goal attempt wide left. Badgley struggled with accuracy as a member of the Chargers, and initial returns suggest that area of his game has not improved.

  • Matt Prater K | BUF

Cardinals' Matt Prater: Near perfect Sunday

Prater was 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 5-for-5 on point-after tries during Sunday's 38-13 win in Tennessee.

Prater did have one foible on the day, missing a 43-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter. Otherwise, he was on point, making a 34-yarder and also recording touchbacks on six of his seven kickoffs. Assuming the Cardinals offense continues to operate at a high level behind quarterback Kyler Murray, Prater should be afforded plenty of options to produce on a weekly basis.

  • Browns' Chase McLaughlin: Active Sunday

McLaughlin (hamstring) is active for Sunday's season opener against Kansas City.

Though McLaughlin was a full participant in practice Friday, he was listed as questionable for Sunday's game. However, he's good to go after all, while fellow kicker Chris Naggar has been made inactive by the Browns.
