Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Productive fantasy effort in loss

Murray completed 29 of 42 passes for 269 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Cardinals' 28-21 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night. He also rushed five times for 15 yards.

Murray's ledger ultimately corroborates a mistake-free effort, but he was still directly involved in a couple of plays that proved pivotal to the Seahawks' win. The 23-year-old signal-caller was charged with intentional grounding deep in his own end on the first play of an early fourth-quarter drive with Arizona trailing by just two points, and J.R. Sweezy was subsequently whistled for holding in the end zone a play later, resulting in a safety. Murray also took a sack at Seattle's 33-yard line on 4th-and-10 with 38 seconds remaining, a play in which he failed to feel the pressure and step up into what was a clean pocket. Murray otherwise kept his squad on the comeback trail throughout the night and connected with Dan Arnold and Chase Edmonds for his pair of scoring tosses. Murray now has multiple touchdown throws in four of his last five contests heading into a Week 12 road interconference matchup against the Patriots on Sunday, Nov. 29.

  • Brett Rypien QB | MIN

Broncos' Brett Rypien: Staying ready for possible start

Rypien split reps in Thursday's practice with top quarterback Drew Lock (ribs), who was listed as a limited participant in the session, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

As Sunday's game against the Dolphins approaches, the Broncos are viewing Lock as day-to-day after he came out of the Week 10 loss to the Raiders with a muscle strain and bruising to his ribs. The fact that Lock returned to the field in some fashion Thursday is an encouraging sign that he'll be ready to play once the weekend arrives, but head coach Vic Fangio is keeping Rypien prepared in the event Lock's condition takes a turn for the worse. Rypien previously picked up a start Week 4 while Lock was out with a shoulder injury, completing 19 of 31 attempts for 242 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in a 37-28 win over the Jets.

Broncos' Drew Lock: Splits QB reps Thursday

Lock (ribs) split QB reps with Brett Rypien during Thursday's practice, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.

Lock, who was officially listed as limited Thursday, noted afterward that he felt good while throwing in drills, but he fell short of confirming that he'll play Sunday against the Dolphins. "I would like to be (available to play)," Lock said Thursday. "Obviously I'll give my opinion and it's going to be I want to play, but in the end it's not 100 percent up to me what happens." Added clarity with regard to his Week 11 status should arrive no later than Friday after the Broncos trainers and doctors assess the signal-caller following practice.

  • Panthers' Teddy Bridgewater: Looking unlikely for Week 11

Bridgewater (knee) appears unlikely to start for the Panthers in Sunday's game against the Lions, sources tell Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

While the report notes that a final call on Bridgewater's Week 11 status hasn't been made, the quarterback doesn't seem to be trending in the right direction after he was limited in practices Wednesday and Thursday. When asked Thursday about how Bridgewater was coming along in his recovery from an MCL sprain, head coach Matt Rhule said wasn't willing to rule the signal-caller out for Week 11, though he admitted that Bridgewater was "extremely limited" in the aforementioned practices, according to Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site. Bridgewater could create more positivity about his status by increasing his activity at Friday's practice, but the Panthers will continue to keep backup quarterbacks Will Grier and P.J. Walker prepared in the event Bridgewater can't play this weekend.

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Practices in limited fashion

Stafford (thumb) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Tending to a sprained right thumb in the aftermath of Sunday's win over Washington, Stafford was withheld from the Lions' first Week 11 practice Wednesday. He was back on the field Thursday, however, with Kyle Meinke of MLive.com noting that the quarterback donned a supportive device to protect the torn ligament in his thumb. Meinke notes that though Stafford only threw about nine light passes during the open portion of the practice, the Lions remain optimistic that he'll be able to tough it out and play Sunday against the Panthers. Even if that's the case, Stafford could find himself without two of his top weapons, as running back D'Andre Swift (concussion) and Kenny Golladay (hip) failed to take part in Thursday's practice.

  • Panthers' Teddy Bridgewater: Limited again Thursday

Bridgewater (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

For a second consecutive day, Bridgewater's practice reps were capped due to the sprained right MCL that he suffered this past Sunday against the Buccaneers. After Thursday's session, coach Matt Rhule told Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site that Bridgewater is "extremely limited now, but he's moving around well" and "hasn't really opened up yet. He's preparing as if he's going to play." With a game-time decision seemingly on tap, Bridgewater still has a chance to suit up Sunday against the Lions, but if he's unable to Rhule will turn to one of P.J. Walker or Will Grier.

  • Drew Lock QB | SEA

Broncos' Drew Lock: Set for limited practice

Lock (ribs) will return to a limited practice Thursday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Per James Palmer of NFL Network, Lock -- who didn't practice Wednesday -- is in line to see some reps during the team portion of practice Thursday. While the QB's return to the field bodes well for his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Dolphins, Lock will have to escape practice (both Thursday and Friday) without any setbacks in order to garner the start this weekend.

  • Panthers' Teddy Bridgewater: Limited in practice again

Bridgewater (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

The Panthers are expected to manage Bridgewater's reps in practice all week while he recovers from an MCL sprain in his right knee, an injury he suffered in the team's Week 10 loss to the Buccaneers. More clarity on Bridgewater's status heading into this weekend's game against Detroit should arrive at the conclusion of Friday's practice, but if he can't go, either P.J. Walker or Will Grier would be in store for their first start of the season.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Challenges entering Week 11

Mayfield and the Browns face several challenges in preparation for Week 11 against the Eagles, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Mayfield hasn't been pressured much the last two games, but the 11th-ranked Eagles defense is third in the NFL with 31 sacks, five behind the league-leading Steelers, who sacked Mayfield four times in a 38-7 loss Week 6. Additionally, Mayfield hasn't fared well against pressure in 2020. Per Pro Football Focus, he ranks 38th with a 30.8 rating against pressure. Part of the problem is Mayfield holds the ball too long and spends too much time in the pocket. He's 38th in the NFL in average time to throw (2.83 seconds) and pocket time (3.01). One more challenge for the Browns' quarterback is starting right tackle Jack Conklin being placed on the reserved/COVID-19 list. The obvious workaround for the Browns, who rank fourth in rushing, is putting the ball in the hands of running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt against Philadelphia's 26th-ranked run defense.

  • Tyrod Taylor QB | GB

Chargers' Tyrod Taylor: Ribs still bothersome

Taylor was a nonparticipant at Wednesday's practice due to a rib injury, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Taylor was able to suit up behind starting QB Justin Herbert for last Sunday's game against the Raiders, but he appears to still be battling the rib issue that forced him to miss games early in the season. The veteran will look to get healthy, but it appears he'll only have a chance to see the field again this season with an injury or poor play from Herbert. If Taylor misses Week 11, Easton Stick would assume backup duties for the contest.
