Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Should stay busy on ground
Ravens coach John Harbaugh expects Jackson to top Cam Newton's career high of 139 carries in a season, Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Network reports.
Jackson already topped that mark last year with 147 carries, including 119 (17 per game) in seven starts. Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti suggested in May that the young quarterback won't run as often in 2019, but Harbaugh said "take the over" when former coach Brian Billick mentioned Newton's 139 carries during a conversation about Jackson's rushing volume. In all likelihood, Jackson will land somewhere south of last year's 17 per game and somewhere north of Newton's 8.7 from 2017. Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports that Jackson added 7-10 pounds of muscle in the offseason, presumably preparing to take punishment during the upcoming campaign. Early reports from training camp said Jackson looked shaky as a passer, but Hensley and Ryan Mink of the team's official site believe the 22-year-old was much better this past weekend.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: Impressing with arm and legs
Mariota looked sharp in 7-on-7 drills and also scrambled for a nice gain Sunday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Mariota made a number of strong passes, including a 20-yard completion down the field to tight end Anthony Firkser. He also scrambled for a gain after freezing Harold Landry on a pump fake. Mariota is heading into a pivotal season and worked to gain weight in the offseason in an effort to start 16 games for the first time in his career. While very early, he seems to have gotten off to a strong start in training camp.

Josh Johnson QB | CIN
Josh Johnson: Works out for Baltimore
Johnson (ankle) is working out for the Ravens, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
With Robert Griffin's hairline fracture to his right thumb putting his status for the start of the regular season in jeopardy, the Ravens are searching for another backup option at quarterback. Johnson made three starts for the Redskins last season, putting together some pretty underwhelming performances. Johnson is, however, a mobile quarterback, and could end up being a good fit behind Lamar Jackson in Baltimore given the offensive scheme the team is expected to run this season.

Trace McSorley QB | WAS
Ravens' Trace McSorley: Filling in for injured RG3
McSorley is left as the No. 2 quarterback after Robert Griffin suffered a thumb injury, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
With a recovery estimate of 4-to-8 weeks, Griffin is in danger of missing the regular-season opener. Baltimore is sure to sign a third healthy quarterback soon, but the new addition won't necessarily unseat the rookie sixth-round pick. McSorley completed 59.3 percent of his passes at Penn State, making up for it with a 77:25 TD:INT rate and 30 rushing touchdowns in 46 games. Greg Roman's run-heavy offense in Baltimore is the one NFL scheme McSorley might be able to handle as a rookie, though he'd still be a downgrade from starter Lamar Jackson.

Tim Boyle QB | TEN
Packers' Tim Boyle: Back after short absence
Boyle returned to practice Sunday after tending to a personal matter, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Boyle didn't participate in Saturday's practice due to the personal matter, but made a quick return. He'll likely return to receiving third-team reps behind Aaron Rodgers and DeShone Kizer.

Tim Boyle QB | TEN
Packers' Tim Boyle: Misses practice Saturday
Boyle did not participate in Saturday's practice due to a personal matter, Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com reports.
Boyle likely won't miss an extended period of time as he tends to a personal matter, but for now Manny Wilkins could see additional reps in practice behind Aaron Rodgers and DeShone Kizer.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Gets full clearance
Garoppolo (knee) is cleared for a full workload during training camp, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Limited to 7-on-7 drills throughout most of the offseason program, Garoppolo capped off June minicamp with a single rep in 11-on-11s. Coach Kyle Shanahan said his starting quarterback won't play in the exhibition opener but could make an appearance later in the preseason, per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com. Garoppolo is now more than 10 months removed from suffering a torn ACL in Week 3 last season.

Colt McCoy QB | ARI
Redskins' Colt McCoy: Cleared for camp
McCoy (leg) received clearance for the start of training camp, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
Coach Jay Gruden said McCoy, Case Keenum and Dwayne Haskins will all get reps throughout training camp in a three-way quarterback battle that could come down to the wire, per JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington. Keenum has the most recent starting experience and Haskins boasts the most long-term upside, but McCoy at least has one advantage in the form of his familiarity with Gruden's offense.

Taryn Christion QB | DAL
Cowboys' Taryn Christion: Gets chance in Dallas
Christion signed a contract with the Cowboys on Wednesday, Rob Phillips of the team's official site reports.
Christion claims the opening on Dallas' roster created following the release of wideout Allen Hurns. The South Dakota State product originally signed with the Seahawks after being passed over in the 2019 NFL Draft, and will now provide competition for depth quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Mike White with the Cowboys.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: In camp early for QB school
Winston arrived at Buccaneers training camp ahead of schedule Monday to participate in a three-day "Quarterback School", Carmen Vitali of the team's official site reports.
Bucs veterans aren't required to be in the building until Thursday, but Winston, along with Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Griffin and Nick Fitzgerald (NFI, hamstring), were all present and accounted for Monday. The quarterbacks are getting a jump on re-acclimating to the practice field and getting some live reps in 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 sessions versus an all-rookie defense. Winston has naturally been immersed in learning new head coach Bruce Arians' offense all offseason, and the club will have plenty of scrutiny regarding his grasp of the system, beginning with Friday afternoon's opening training camp practice.
