Colt McCoy QB | ARI
Redskins' Colt McCoy: Officially out for Week 17
McCoy (lower leg) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
When he met with the media Sunday, coach Jay Gruden left the door open for McCoy to return for the postseason after the veteran signal-caller recently resumed running, but McCoy's 2018 campaign will come to an end after Washington was officially eliminated from playoff contention when Dallas, Philadelphia, Minnesota and Seattle all won their respective Week 16 games. McCoy will continue to focus on rehabbing his broken leg over the next few weeks before returning at full strength for OTAs in the spring. Josh Johnson will pick up another start for Washington in Week 17 while Mark Sanchez serves as the backup quarterback.

Kyle Allen QB | BUF
Panthers' Kyle Allen: Could be needed Week 17
Coach Ron Rivera noted that Allen will be the next man up to start the Panthers' Week 17 game against the Saints in the event Taylor Heinicke (elbow) is unavailable for the contest, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
After being called up from the practice squad Thursday when it was revealed that Cam Newton (shoulder) would be shut down for the season, Allen stepped in as the backup for Heinicke in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons. The undrafted rookie was pressed into action in the second quarter after Heinicke exited with the elbow injury and proceeded to complete all four of his pass attempts for 38 yards before Heinicke was eventually cleared to return. Though Heinicke finished out the contest, the signal-caller will be sent in for an MRI on Monday, which tentatively creates uncertainty about his Week 17 status. Rivera said he expected to know more about Heinicke's outlook Wednesday, but if Heinicke is forced to sit out this weekend, Allen would be in line for his first NFL start. Rivera dismissed the possibility of the Panthers activating Newton for the contest while the franchise quarterback continues to deal with a lingering shoulder injury.

Taylor Heinicke QB | LAC
Panthers' Taylor Heinicke: Getting MRI for injured elbow
Coach Ron Rivera said Heinicke is slated to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the left elbow injury the quarterback suffered in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
With Cam Newton (shoulder) sidelined for the first time all season Sunday, Heinicke drew his first NFL start. The 25-year-old exited in the second quarter after injuring his elbow but was cleared to return to the contest and finished with 33 completions on 53 attempts for 274 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions while adding another score and 33 yards on three carries. Heinicke showed impressive toughness while playing through the injury, but the Panthers probably won't hesitate to shut him down if the MRI reveals an unfavorable diagnosis. Rivera said the team would update Heinicke's condition Wednesday, but if the signal-caller is ruled out for the season finale in New Orleans, recent practice-squad callup Kyle Allen likely would be in line for the starting assignment. Rivera dismissed the possibility of bringing back Newton in Week 17 to play through a lingering shoulder injury.

Patrick Mahomes QB | KC
Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Tosses three scores
Mahomes completed 23 of his 40 pass attempts for 273 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Seahawks. He also added three carries for 33 yards.
Mahomes wasn't particularly efficient as he averaged only 6.8 yards per attempt, but still put up a strong performance on the strength of his three scores. He added to his list of highlight reel touchdowns when he found Charcandrick West on the run midway through the third quarter for a 25-yard touchdown. He also chipped in 33 rushing yards -- his third-highest total of the season -- and is now approaching 300 yards on the ground for the season. With the AFC West still up for grabs, Mahomes enters Week 17 against the Raiders needing only two passing scores to cross the 50-touchdown threshold.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Beats Chiefs to clinch playoffs
Wilson completed 18 of 29 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 38-31 win over the Chiefs. He also rushed eight times for 57 yards.
Wilson marched the Seahawks down the field on their opening drive, setting up a four-yard touchdown run by Chris Carson. He later took a four-point lead into halftime and came out firing in the second half, piling up points on four of five drives. His most impressive feat was the final offensive drive, when he threw deep passes to both Tyler Lockett and Doug Baldwin, leading to Chris Carson's game-sealing rushing score. The Seahawks' ability to find the paydirt while the Chiefs settled for field goals was the difference in this contest. Wilson now has a career-high 34 passing touchdowns and will head to the playoffs for the sixth time in his seven-year career.

Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN
Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Efficient in winning effort
Trubisky completed 25-of-29 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown while adding three yards on the ground in Chicago's 14-9 victory over the 49ers.
Although the Bears trailed at the half, this game was close throughout, allowing Trubisky to function mostly as a game manager in a contest the team was able to control. After being a strong fantasy performer throughout the middle of the season, he's averaged just 189 yards and 1.25 passing TDs over his last four games, and he's turned into a low-upside fantasy option going into a tough Week 17 matchup at Minnesota.

Nick Mullens QB | JAC
49ers' Nick Mullens: Fails to find end zone
Mullens completed 22 of 38 passes for 241 yards and an interception in the 49ers' 14-9 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
With the 49ers playing from behind for the majority of the second half, Mullens was forced to throw on almost every down. As a result, the outstanding Chicago defense was able to hold him to his least productive outing of the season. With just seven touchdown passes over his last six games, he's been a so-so fantasy option with limited upside.
-
Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Solid before early exit
Goff completed 19 of 24 passes for 216 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Rams' 31-9 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He also rushed twice for six yards and another score and lost a fumble.
Goff's one blemish was a first-quarter lost fumble on a sack, but he otherwise largely redeemed himself after a difficult last two games in particular. The third-year signal-caller was able to connect with Robert Woods for a 39-yard score in the fourth quarter to close out his day, a play preceded by a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Goff's solid effort provides him with a welcome dose of late-season momentum, and he'll look to help the Rams clinch a No. 2 seed and first-round bye in Week 17 against the 49ers.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Awful outside of garbage time TD
Allen completed 20 of 41 passes for 217 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions while rushing five times for 30 yards in Sunday's 24-12 loss to New England.
The Patriots didn't give Allen much room to run, and his inaccurate arm couldn't move the offense through the air. Allen's stats in this one were bolstered by a 31-yard, garbage time touchdown to Zay Jones with 1:08 remaining, but he struggled mightily while the result was still in question. Owners who started to look Allen's way due to his deceptively strong play with his legs will need to hope he finds more running room against the Dolphins in Week 17, as the rookie still doesn't look NFL-ready when it comes to throwing the ball.

Taylor Heinicke QB | LAC
Panthers' Taylor Heinicke: Struggles in first start
Heinicke (elbow) completed 33 of 53 pass attempts for 274 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions Sunday against the Falcons. He also carried three times for 33 yards in the 24-10 loss.
Heinicke started with Cam Newton (shoulder) out and endured plenty of adversity in his first NFL start. He left the game briefly after suffering a painful elbow injury but was able to return, according to Bill Voth of the team's official site. Heinicke kept the team in the game for a while, but one interception near the goal line and another in the red zone ultimately hurt them. He should start next Sunday against the Saints barring a setback with his elbow, but he shouldn't be viewed as a worthy fantasy option.
