  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Rips off 22-yard run against Titans

Jackson played two offensive snaps Sunday and took one carry for 22 yards against the Titans.

It was a season-low snap count total for the rookie, but he still managed to impress with a season-long run of 22 yards. Jackson's run showed vision and patience in letting the play develop and he came up just shy of notching his first rushing touchdown. Joe Flacco's strong play to start the season has squashed any notion of Jackson supplanting him as the starter this year, so it seems Jackson will have a limited and highly specialized role for the time being.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Week-to-week with elbow injury

Coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Allen, who injured his throwing elbow during Sunday's loss to the Texans, is "week-to-week," Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports. McDermott went on to say that "all options will be on the table at QB this week."

McDermott refused to rule Allen out for this week's game against the Colts, so we'll have to wait until practices take place in a few days to get a better gauge on his status other than coach speak. Nathan Peterman is currently the No. 2 option, but he's been horrible in limited action and threw a pick-six with the score tied Sunday that cost the Bills a good chance at an upset. Newly signed veteran Derek Anderson is another option.

  • Geno Smith QB | NYJ

Chargers' Geno Smith: Enters game late in fourth quarter

Smith attempted one pass for eight yards and also carried the ball twice for minus-2 yards in the 38-14 win over the Browns on Sunday.

Smith entered the game midway through the fourth quarter with the win already well in hand. Given the success of Philip Rivers thus far (1,702 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, three interceptions), it would be stunning to see Smith earn significant playing time other than due to a major injury to the team's franchise quarterback.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: Status remains uncertain for Week 7

Coach Adam Gase continued to label Tannehill (shoulder) as day-to-day during Monday's press conference, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports. According to Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald, Gase relayed that he doesn't know if Tannehill's shoulder setback is a long-term concern. "It's really going to be about how he feels," Gase said of the quarterback.

Tannehill popped up on the Dolphins' injury report Friday with the right shoulder issue, which he reportedly first suffered when he was strip-sacked in the team's Week 5 loss to the Bengals, per Salguero. While Gase was unwilling to confirm the extent of Tannehill's setback, it's believed the quarterback is dealing with a sprained AC joint, according to Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com. The Dolphins proceeded to rule Tannehill out shortly before Sunday's eventual 31-28 overtime win over the Bears, allowing backup Brock Osweiler to take the reins at quarterback. While Osweiler performed admirably in his first start with the Dolphins, Gase noted that Tannehill will retain the top spot on the depth chart once healthy enough to play, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports. The Dolphins should have another update on Tannehill's outlook for their Week 7 game against the Lions on Wednesday, when the coaching and training staffs will evaluate how the 30-year-old looks while throwing during the team's first practice of the week.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Unlikely to miss action with sore ankle

Mayfield is dealing with a sore ankle in the aftermath of Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Chargers, but the injury isn't expected to prevent him from playing Week 7 against the Buccaneers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

After averaging at least seven yards per attempt through his first three NFL appearances, Mayfield struggled mightily in the Week 6 blowout loss, completing just 22 of 46 passes while throwing for 238 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Though Mayfield wouldn't use the ankle injury as an excuse for his underwhelming showing, he seemed to be clearly hobbled for most of the day after he tweaked the ankle on a six-yard scramble in the first quarter, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The injury didn't force Mayfield to miss any snaps in the contest, but the Browns could limit his practice time this week in order to ensure he enters the game in Tampa Bay in better health. Assuming his ankle doesn't compromise his mobility in a significant way, Mayfield should be primed for a good bounce-back opportunity against a Buccaneers defense that has surrendered an NFL-worst 356 passing yards per game and 16 touchdowns through the air this season.

  • Case Keenum QB | CHI

Broncos' Case Keenum: Gets vote of confidence

Broncos coach Vance Joseph said Sunday after the team's 23-20 loss to the Rams that Keenum will remain Denver's starter Week 7 against the Cardinals, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports. "Case is our quarterback," Joseph said.

After exiting late in the first half with a head injury, Keenum was cleared of a concussion and was back under center to begin the third quarter. Keenum rebounded from a rough first half to engineer three scoring drives and finish with his third 300-plus-yard passing game of the season, but his efforts weren't enough to prevent Denver from dropping its fourth straight contest. While Keenum's 7.2 yards per attempt and 63.1 percent completion rate on the campaign are acceptable marks, he's struggled to rein in the turnovers, as he's tossed at least one interception in all six of Denver's games. The fact that the Broncos are playing Thursday night this week probably influenced Joseph's decision to stick with Keenum, but the 30-year-old may need to turn in a solid performance against Arizona to maintain the starting job over second-year signal-caller Chad Kelly, who was impressive during the preseason.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Puts up huge numbers in second half

Mahomes completed 22 of 36 pass attempts for 352 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 43-40 loss to New England.

It was a tale of two halves for the young gunslinger, who entered halftime with two interceptions and a 15-point deficit in a tough road environment. While the Chiefs narrowly missed a comeback victory, Mahomes turned his fantasy performance around with four second-half touchdowns, three of them to Tyreek Hill. The 23-year-old experienced sustained adversity for the first time in his career after being stifled and picked off twice by the Jags' vaunted defense last week, but the resilience he displayed Sunday is a great sign for the Chiefs and fantasy owners that this simply isn't a "hot start." Mahomes will look to get Kansas City back into the win column in another primetime matchup against the Bengals on Sunday.

  • Case Keenum QB | CHI

Broncos' Case Keenum: Throws for two scores in loss

Keenum completed 25 of 41 pass attempts for 322 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Rams. He also carried the ball once for six yards.

Keenum had managed only a field-goal drive until 1:34 remained in the third quarter when he hit Emmanuel Sanders from 22 yards out. Having only thrown for 137 yards at the half, the 30-year-old quarterback missed a play while getting checked for a concussion. When he returned, he again relied on a big deficit to rack up stats and almost made a game out of the affair. He'll try to go a third straight contest with at least 320 passing yards and two touchdowns Week 7 at Arizona.

  • Marcus Mariota QB | WAS

Titans' Marcus Mariota: Falls flat again

Mariota completed 10 of 15 passes for 117 yards during Sunday's 21-0 loss to the Ravens. He added two rushes for 25 yards.

Mariota couldn't get into a rhythm throughout the game and was sacked more times (11) than he completed passes (10). Even with his limited attempts, Mariota missed key opportunities to make an impact on the game, most notably overthrowing Taywan Taylor on a deep post route that would have tied the game at seven. While the Ravens defense is a tough matchup for opposing offenses, the Titans have now failed to get in sync for two consecutive games and scored more than 20 points only once this season. That makes it difficult to trust Mariota as a starting option, even with his upside as a rusher.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Rams' Jared Goff: No touchdowns in win over Broncos

Goff completed 14 of 28 passes for 201 yards with one interception during Sunday's 23-20 victory over the Broncos. He also carried four times for 14 rushing yards.

Goff entered the game riding a historic streak -- throwing for 300-plus yards with at least a 70 percent completion rate in four straight games -- but the quarterback was unable to keep the magic alive during a cold and snowy day in Denver. Instead, the Rams pummeled the Broncos on the ground, and Goff ultimately didn't need to do much on a day running back Todd Gurley ran for a career-high 208 rushing yards. Look for Goff to get back on track, statistically speaking, when Los Angeles travels to San Francisco in Week 7 to take on a 49ers defense that has surrendered 2.4 passing touchdowns per game in 2018.
