Mac Jones QB | SF
49ers' Mac Jones: Listed as full Monday
Jones (knee) was listed as a full participant on Monday's practice estimate.
Jones was limited all of last week due to a PCL sprain that he suffered in Week 3 against the Cardinals, but he was able to handle backup duties Sunday versus the Jaguars with Brock Purdy (left shoulder/toe) back in action. Purdy emerged from that contest with toe soreness and was listed as a DNP on Monday. Considering Jones now has a clean bill of health and Purdy doesn't as the 49ers prepare for Thursday's contest at the Rams, Jones may be called upon to make his third start of the year in Week 5.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Listed as DNP on Monday
Purdy (toe) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
In his first game action since the season opener during Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Jaguars, Purdy completed 22 of 38 passes for 309 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, rushed twice for 13 yards and lost his only fumble. Earlier Monday, coach Kyle Shanahan told David Lombardi of SFStandard.com that Purdy was dealing with toe soreness after the game, and with the 49ers having a quick turnaround for Thursday's contest at the Rams, "it's a totally different element" regarding the quarterback's availability, per Lombardi. How Purdy is listed on injury reports Tuesday and Wednesday will be key for getting a sense of his odds to suit up Thursday, but Mac Jones (knee), who was listed as full Monday, may be called upon again to lead San Francisco's offense.

Jaxson Dart QB | NYG
Giants' Jaxson Dart: Expected to practice Wednesday
Giants coach Brian Daboll said Monday that Dart (hamstring) is expected to take the field for Wednesday's practice, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.
Daboll said Dart is "doing good" after having picked up a hamstring injury during Sunday's 21-18 upset win over the Chargers, per Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports. The rookie first-round pick managed to play through the issue Sunday and lead New York to their first win of the 2025 campaign, while completing 13 of 20 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown and rushing 10 times for 54 yards and another score. While it's encouraging that Dart appears to have avoided a severe injury in his first NFL start, top wideout Malik Nabers (ACL) sustained a season-ending injury Week 4, leaving Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, Jalin Hyatt and tight end Theo Johnson positioned as the Giants' top pass catchers moving forward. As such, Dart will figure to pilot a run-heavy offense Week 5 on the road against New Orleans on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Managing toe soreness
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Purdy is dealing with toe soreness in the wake of Sunday's loss to the Jaguars and will be evaluated, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.
Shanahan mentioned that estimating Purdy's availability for Week 5 is "a totally different element" due to the short window of preparation ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Rams, per Lombardi. In returning Sunday from his two-game absence due to shoulder and toe issues, Purdy completed 22 of 38 pass attempts for 309 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, a relatively productive performance despite his already-depleted receiving corps losing Ricky Pearsall (knee) in the second half. Though Shanahan expressed optimism that Pearsall is only dealing with a "minor PCL" injury, per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, the second-year wideout's status for Thursday Night Football appears in jeopardy. Star tight end George Kittle (hamstring) won't be eligible to return from IR until Week 6 at the earliest, while Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports that Jauan Jennings (undisclosed) also is considered up in the air to face Los Angeles on the road.

Deshaun Watson QB | CLE
Browns' Deshaun Watson: Not expected to practice this week
Watson (Achilles) is not expected to return to practice this week, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Watson is currently on the reserve/PUP list and is eligible to begin practicing this week, but that doesn't sound like it's in the cards for the 30-year-old quarterback. Watson suffered a torn Achilles in Week 7 last season and is roughly eight months removed from surgery. It remains to be seen if Watson will play again for the Browns, who have offered very little on the status of Watson's recovery.

Dillon Gabriel QB | CLE
Browns' Dillon Gabriel: Leads final possession
Gabriel played three snaps and tossed an incompletion on his lone pass attempt in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Lions.
Gabriel replaced starter Joe Flacco for the inconsequential final drive of the day. Cleveland's offense once again sputtered, scoring its fewest points of the season Sunday to bring its average to 14.0 points per game through four weeks. While the offense's struggles can't entirely be blamed on Flacco -- the Browns started their fourth different offensive line combination in four games, and the receivers' room is thin and plagued by drops -- the writing is on the wall for a potential change at quarterback. Gabriel would presumably be first in line to start over fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders, though head coach Kevin Stefanski refuted the notion that a switch at quarterback is imminent following Sunday's loss, per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com.

Cam Ward QB | TEN
Titans' Cam Ward: Poor performances piling up
Ward completed 10 of 26 passes for 108 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 26-0 loss to the Texans. He added two rushes for 22 yards.
Ward continues to look overwhelmed during his rookie season, as he was unable to lead the Titans on a scoring drive while averaging an abysmal 4.2 yards per attempt in Sunday's blowout loss. He did manage multiple completions of at least 20 yards for the third consecutive game, but Ward has only two touchdowns with four turnovers across his first four games as a pro. It's too early to make any conclusions about Ward's ability as a pro, but it has not been a good start to his career.

Jordan Love QB | GB
Packers' Jordan Love: Three touchdowns against Cowboys
Love completed 31 of 43 passes for 337 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 40-40 overtime tie against the Cowboys. He added three carries for 28 yards.
Love has been efficient all season, and that didn't change Sunday night as he averaged 7.8 yards per attempt while completing four passes of more than 20 yards. The Packers were also pushed offensively by Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, with Love attempting at least 40 passes for only the sixth time in a regular-season contest in his career. Love targeted seven pass catchers at least three times, though he connected with Romeo Doubs for all three of his touchdowns and hit Matthew Golden for a 46-yard gain -- his longest of the night. Love has had mediocre fantasy results to begin the season, but he has multiple touchdown passes in three of four contests while topping 250 passing yards twice.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Breaks out with four TDs on SNF
Prescott completed 31 of 40 pass attempts for 319 yards and three touchdowns while taking his only carry for a two-yard touchdown in Sunday's 40-40 tie against the Packers.
Prescott broke out of his early-season slump in a big way, matching his passing touchdown total through his previous three games in one fell swoop. The 31-year-old even added a rare rushing touchdown on a designed run from in close for his fourth score of the contest. The loss of star receiver CeeDee Lamb (ankle) certainly hurts Prescott's stock for as long as his top option remains out. That said, Prescott also proved that he is nowhere near washed up with Sunday's monster fantasy output. Managers with restored faith in Dallas' signal-caller will be rolling him out against the Jets in Week 5.
