Geno Smith QB | NYJ
Giants' Geno Smith: Unimpressive in debut
Smith completed 21 of 34 pass attempts for 212 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 loss to Oakland. He also lost two fumbles and added 13 rushing yards on three attempts.
Starting in lieu of Eli Manning, Smith compiled only one drive of more than five plays and lost both fumbles in the first half. The third quarter was more of the same before he was able to lead two scoring drives in the fourth while trailing by 10. Even if the West Virginia product keeps the starting job going forward, he is not a dependable fantasy option outside of two-quarterback leagues despite another nice matchup against Dallas in Week 14.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Tosses two scores
Goff completed 21 of 31 passes for 220 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Sunday's 32-16 victory over the Cardinals.
Goff wasn't able to repeat the fantastic performance he had last week against the Saints but still churned out a respectable fantasy outing. His favorite target ended up being running back Todd Gurley due to the Cardinals' decent pass coverage, while his pair of scores were one- and 11-yard strikes to tight end Gerald Everett and receiver Sammy Watkins, respectively. Although it wasn't another dominant offensive showing for the Rams, Goff and company didn't need to do a whole lot given the big plays Los Angeles made on defense and special teams. The ascending signal caller will likely be asked to air it out a little more in Week 14 when the Eagles come to town.

Blaine Gabbert QB | KC
Cardinals' Blaine Gabbert: Keeping job despite ugly game
Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said Gabbert will get another start Week 14 against the Titans, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Gabbert didn't make the best case for himself in Sunday's 32-16 loss to the Rams, completing 18 of 32 passes for 221 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He also took six sacks, but there's little reason to think Drew Stanton would've fared any better against a Rams defense that excels at defending the pass. With Carson Palmer (arm) unlikely to return this season and Stanton proven to be no better than a decent backup, Gabbert may get the chance to work his way through late-season struggles, particularly now that the Cardinals don't have a realistic chance to make the playoffs. He'll get a much more favorable matchup in Week 14 when he returns to Arizona to face a Titans defense that just allowed Houston's Tom Savage to throw for 365 yards.

Case Keenum QB | CHI
Vikings' Case Keenum: Throws two scores versus Falcons
Keenum completed 25 of 30 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 14-9 win over the Falcons.
Keenum completed an impressive 83 percent of his passes while connecting with nine different receivers. He connected with Jerick McKinnon on a two-yard touchdown in the second quarter and hit Kyle Rudolph for a six-yard score in the fourth. Keenum is in excellent form over the last five weeks, averaging 276.2 yards per game with 12 total touchdowns compared to three turnovers. His stellar play has earned him a bit of job security, as Mike Zimmer stated that he'll start against the Panthers next week despite Teddy Bridgewater's availability, according to Chris Thompson of the St. Paul Pioneer-Express.

Nathan Peterman QB | ATL
Bills' Nathan Peterman: Sees emergency duty in loss
Peterman entered Sunday's 23-3 loss to the Patriots early in the fourth quarter in relief of Tyrod Taylor (knee) and completed six of 15 passes for 50 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He also gained nine yards on his sole rush.
Peterman looked downright serviceable in comparison to his disastrous one-half stint as a starter in Week 11 versus the Chargers, a game in which he threw five interceptions on 14 pass attempts before getting the hook. The 23-year-old averaged only 3.3 yards per attempt Sunday, but his opportunities came with the Bills facing a sizable deficit in the fourth quarter and the Patriots focusing on defending the pass. Depending on Taylor's health, Peterman could find himself under center again in Week 14 against the vulnerable Colts defense.
-
Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Gets win in first start with new team
Garoppolo completed 26 of 37 pass attempts for 293 yards and one interception in Sunday's 15-14 win over the Bears. He also ran four times for eight yards.
While he was unable to lead a touchdown drive on the day, he did lead five that ended in a field goal, and it was just enough for the victory. More importantly, the 26-year-old acquitted himself well in a tough matchup. It is hard to believe that the 49ers would go back to the ineffective C.J. Beathard after this performance, but the team has been stubbornly loyal to him while Garoppolo gets comfortable with the offense. If Garoppolo does get the call, he will be in line for a juicy matchup with Houston in Week 14.

Tyrod Taylor QB | GB
Bills' Tyrod Taylor: Expects to be okay
Taylor (knee) told people close to him that he believes he avoided a major injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Per Albert Breer of The MMQB, Taylor initially got hurt on the first snap of Sunday's 23-3 loss to the Patriots, but he played through the injury until early in the fourth quarter, at which point he was carted off to the locker room. He was ineffective prior to the early exit, completing only nine of 18 passes for 65 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception. Taylor did add 32 yards on three carries, but he also took three sacks along the way. Nathan Peterman wasn't any better in mop-up duty, completing six of 15 passes for 50 yards and adding nine yards on one carry. With Taylor scheduled for further testing on his knee, Peterman could get the starting nod for a Week 14 home game against the Colts. Given the events of the past few weeks, the Bills might decide to go with the rookie even if Taylor's injury doesn't turn out to be serious.
-
Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: Scores with pass, run Sunday
Mariota completed 15 of 23 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown while rushing three times for 23 yards and another score in Sunday's 24-13 win over Houston.
Mariota made some key plays with his legs, highlighted by a nine-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter. His lone passing touchdown was a 24-yarder to Delanie Walker to break a tie at 10 with three seconds left in the third quarter. Mariota has really missed top wide receiver Rishard Matthews (hamstring) over the past two weeks, throwing for a combined 334 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in that stretch.
-
Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN
Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Attempts 15 passes Sunday
Trubisky completed 12 of 15 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 15-14 loss to San Francisco. He added 19 yards on four rushing attempts.
The rookie took advantage of a short field and drove for a touchdown on the Bears' second drive of the game, but the Bears were unable to muster anything after that and only possessed the ball for 21 minutes in the contest. It was the most efficient effort of Trubisky's career so far, as he managed to complete 80 percent of his passes. He will have an even tougher test Week 14 at Cincinnati.
-
Tom Savage QB | DET
Texans' Tom Savage: Throws for career-high 365 yards in loss
Savage completed 31 of 49 passes for 365 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 24-13 loss to the Titans.
Savage threw a four-yard touchdown to Stephen Anderson in the second quarter and completed a game-saving 22-yard pass to Anderson on 4th-and-19 with his team trailing 17-13 inside the two-minute warning. However, the quarterback immediately threw an interception to effectively lose the game on the next play. While he eclipsed his previous career high of 260 passing yards by over 100 in this one, this was a bittersweet performance for Savage, who was evaluated for a concussion at halftime and, despite returning to action, failed to get the upset win.
