Trevor Siemian QB | ATL
Broncos' Trevor Siemian: To undergo shoulder surgery
Siemian will undergo minor surgery on his left shoulder this week, Mike Klis of 9News.com reports.
Siemian should have no problem being ready for offseason workouts in April and May. The Broncos' quarterback said of the procedure, "It's optional surgery. It really only bothers me when I work out but I figure I'm going to have to keep working out for a while so I'm getting it fixed." The injury stems from Week 4, when he suffered a third-degree separation in his left shoulder against the Buccaneers. It caused him to miss the next game, but he was then back playing through the injury the week after. Look for more updates on his status to come throughout the offseason, as he tries to hold down the starting job for 2017.

Matt McGloin QB | KC
Raiders' Matt McGloin: Not expected to play Saturday
McGloin (shoulder) is not expected to be ready for Saturday's playoff opener against the Texans, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.
McGloin will still have a few days to improve his health prior to Saturday's game, but the early indication is that the shoulder injury he suffered in Week 17 will prevent him from suiting up this week. If that is indeed the case, Connor Cook would get the start under center with Derek Carr out with a broken leg.

Brian Hoyer QB | LV
Bears' Brian Hoyer: Set to hit free agency in 2017
Before being placed on injured reserve on October 24, Hoyer (forearm) threw for 1,445 yards along with six touchdowns and no interceptions in six games.
Hoyer threw for at least 300 yards in the four full games he played, and more impressively, he didn't throw a single pick. His 2016 performance could help him secure a contract with a new team that could also provide him a chance to become a starting quarterback in a league that's often desperate for competent performance at the position. His strong 2016 performance follows up his lone season in Houston, where he tossed 19 touchdowns to just seven interceptions, and if he does secure a starting job, he'll be at least a fantasy backup with upside to be a lower-end starter in 12-team leagues.

Matt McGloin QB | KC
Raiders' Matt McGloin: Dealing with 'sore' shoulder
McGloin has undergone an MRI on his shoulder, which is just "sore," head coach Jack Del Rio told Scott Bair of CSN California reports.
McGloin was knocked out of Sunday's loss at Denver after he was driven hard into the ground, bringing fellow quarterback Connor Cook to the fore. While the former was 6-for-11 passing for 21 yards, Cook actually directed the offense ably, completing 14 of 21 passes for one touchdown and one interception. According to Jimmy Durkin of the Bay Area News Group, Del Rio wouldn't speculate which QB may be under center Saturday in Houston, only stating, "We'll see." In reality, McGloin's ability to practice Wednesday may be the best indicator.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Racks up measly 120 yards passing Sunday
Goff capped his rookie campaign with 13-for-20 passing for 120 yards and two fumbles (none lost) during Sunday's 44-6 defeat to the Cardinals.
The 2016 first overall selection served as the Rams' starting quarterback in seven consecutive games to conclude the campaign, with mostly miserable results. Granted, his offensive line didn't do him any favors, allowing 26 sacks. On Sunday, in particular, Goff suffered a season-worst seven sacks against a fearsome Cardinals front, who pressured the rookie on 26 percent of his dropbacks, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com. While running for one's life isn't conducive to operating an efficient offense, Goff was turnover-prone, tossing seven interceptions and losing two of five fumbles. Overall, he completed just 54.6 percent of his passes for 1,089 yards and five touchdowns, three of which came against the leaky Saints defense in Week 12.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: On scooter for eight weeks
Mariota (lower leg) will be on a scooter for the next eight weeks, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
The starting quarterback cannot bear weight on his right leg until early March after undergoing successful surgery last week. In total, the injury should take around four-to-five months to recover from, slating Mariota to return in time for OTAs in late-May. Look for more updates on his status to come throughout the offseason. He ended his 2016 breakout campaign passing for 3426 yards, 26 touchdowns, and nine interceptions to go along with 349 rushing yards and two touchdowns in 15 games.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: Expects to practice this week
Tannehill (knee) could practice this week, leaving a small window of opportunity for the quarterback to start Sunday against the Steelers, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports. Head coach Adam Gase said of the situation, "I need to get a lot of information: I have to see him practice and I have to see him move around and I have to feel really good about it."
Backup Matt Moore has played well in the three games since Tannehill went down with a left knee sprain, throwing eight touchdowns to just three interceptions and leading the Dolphins to a 2-1 record during the stretch. However, the team would prefer to have Tannehill under center, an option that will only be possible if he is cleared for practice this week. Look for more updates to come in the next few days, but until any new information is released, Matt Moore will remain the starter for Sunday.

Tom Savage QB | DET
Texans' Tom Savage: May not start playoff opener
Savage (concussion) may not be the starting quarterback for Saturday's playoff game against Oakland even if he clears the NFL's concussion protocol, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Savage, who has started the last two games of the regular season, suffered a concussion during Week 17's loss to Tennessee and was replaced by Brock Osweiler, who played better than he had in weeks. Houston head coach Bill O'Brien confirmed following Sunday's loss that a decision as to which player will start against the Raiders hasn't been made and won't necessarily hinge on Savage's health.

Trevor Siemian QB | ATL
Broncos' Trevor Siemian: Throws for two touchdowns in season finale
Siemian completed 17 of 27 passes for 206 yards, two touchdowns and a pick in Sunday's win over Oakland.
Entering Sunday's game, Siemian was to split reps with rookie first-round pick Paxton Lynch. Head coach Gary Kubiak said after the game, however, that he decided to roll the dice with Siemian for the entire game and he responded with a decidedly better effort than his Christmas-night disaster in Kansas City. The game was essentially an audition for Siemian, who was drafted last season after Kubiak and quarterbacks coach Greg Knapp took an interest in him during the draft process. With Kubiak reportedly set to retire, it will be interesting to see what the next staff will do when the steady Siemian and decidedly more physically gifted Lynch battle it out in training camp.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Lions' Matthew Stafford: Tosses two TDs in loss to Packers
Stafford completed 26 of 41 passes for 347 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Packers.
Despite having himself a quiet night entering the fourth quarter, Stafford ultimately totaled more touchdowns than he had in his previous three games combined by connecting with Anquan Boldin on a desperation hail-mary heave in garbage time. Furthermore, the Lions signal caller also posted his highest completion percentage across his last four games. However, Detroit's failure to clinch the NFC North title Sunday night locked the team into a matchup against the Seahawks -- set to be played outdoors in Seattle -- for the first round of the playoffs, a team Stafford threw for just 203 yards with zero touchdowns against last season.
