Hunter Dekkers QB | NO
Hunter Dekkers: Let go by New Orleans again
The Saints cut Dekkers from the practice squad Wednesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
It's the second time Dekkers has been cut from the Saints' practice squad since the end of training camp. Dekkers could remain in New Orleans or explore his opportunities elsewhere and join a team in need of a quarterback for the scout team.

Tanner McKee QB | PHI
Eagles' Tanner McKee: Remains sidelined from practice
McKee (right thumb) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice.
McKee hasn't practiced since he was diagnosed with a fractured thumb on his right throwing hand Aug. 24. Until he's able to return to practice, he'll likely continue to yield backup QB duties to Sam Howell behind starter Jalen Hurts. Nonetheless, McKee will have two more chances this week to put himself in a position to return to action Sunday in Kansas City.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Not on injury report
Rodgers (back) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against Seattle.
Rodgers told reporters Wednesday that back tightness impacted his mobility during a 34-32 win over the Jets this past Sunday. He's apparently moved past it, healthy for Week 2 and hoping to build on a four-TD showing in his Steelers debut.

Mac Jones QB | SF
49ers' Mac Jones: Likely starting Week 2
San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan suggested Jones is likely to start Sunday's game at New Orleans in place of Brock Purdy (toe, shoulder), Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
To be exact, Shanahan said Purdy is a "long shot" for Week 2 and could even end up missing multiple games, even though the QB took every snap in a Week 1 win at Seattle. Jones has 49 NFL starts to his name, including seven last year in Jacksonville, but he's never come close to the solid numbers he posted his rookie year in New England. He did help Jaguars WR Brian Thomas put up huge stats last December, so there's at least potential for Jones to keep things rolling for Christian McCaffrey, Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings (shoulder) while Purdy and George Kittle (IR - hamstring) miss time.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: 'Long shot' to play Sunday
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Purdy (toe/left shoulder) won't practice Wednesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic. Shanahan added that Purdy is "a long shot" to play Sunday at New Orleans, per David Lombardi of SFStandard.com.
Purdy emerged from a Week 1 win at Seattle with toe and left shoulder injuries, the former of which is the more serious of the two. The nature of his toe issue isn't known, but it appears as if Purdy will be yielding QB duties to backup Mac Jones for at least one game, if Shanahan's comments come to pass.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Dealing with back tightness
Rodgers said Wednesday that he was bothered by back tightness during Sunday's 34-32 win over the Jets, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Rodgers said his back prevented him from moving around well and may have contributed to some of the sacks he took (four). The veteran QB also threw four touchdown passes, and while he may show up on the Week 2 injury report, he'll likely be ready to face the Seahawks come Sunday.

Logan Woodside QB | ARI
Logan Woodside: Back with Pittsburgh
Woodside signed with the Steelers' practice squad Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
The 2018 seventh-round pick from Toledo signed with the Steelers in early August but failed to make the initial 53-man roster and was cut. With both Will Howard (hand) and Skylar Thompson (hamstring) now on injured reserve, Woodside's signing ensures quarterback depth in Pittsburgh. He'll likely be elevated to the active roster and serve as the Steelers' emergency third quarterback for Sunday's matchup against the Seahawks.
-
Skylar Thompson QB | PIT
Steelers' Skylar Thompson: Headed to IR
Thompson (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Thompson popped up on the Steelers' injury report with a hamstring injury prior to their Week 1 win over the Jets, and the issue now appears serious enough for him to land on IR. Pittsburgh's emergency third quarterback will now miss at least four games, with his earliest possible return coming in Week 7 against the Bengals. With rookie Will Howard (hand) also on IR, the Steelers' quarterback room now consists of just Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph.

Hunter Dekkers QB | NO
Hunter Dekkers: Returning to New Orleans
The Saints signed Dekkers to the practice squad Tuesday.
This is Dekkers' second stint on the Saints' practice squad after he was let go by the team Thursday. Dekkers and Jake Haener are the two quarterbacks on the practice squad and both are candidates to be elevated to the 53-man roster as an emergency third-string quarterback behind Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough.
-
Jake Haener QB | KC
Jake Haener: Back with NOLA's practice squad
The Saints signed Haener to the practice squad Tuesday.
Haener will return to New Orleans on the practice squad after being let go from the active roster Saturday. Haener would be a candidate to be elevated to the active roster as an emergency quarterback or as a backup if Spencer Rattler or Tyler Shough were to miss time.
