Wilson played one series in Seattle's preseason finale Thursday, completing 1 of 3 passes for 23 yards at Oakland.

The biggest question for Wilson entering preseason was the offensive line. The interior of the line seems to have solidified, but the tackles are still unsettled. From a fantasy perspective, it's not the worst thing, though, if the offensive line is below average. One, pressure will lead to more rushing yards for Wilson, and, two, the team will use a quick-passing attack to get the ball out of Wilson's hands before the pressure breaks through. That worked well for Wilson late last season. Of course, a below-average line also leaves Wilson vulnerable to injury.

Driskel was atrocious Thursday, completing just one of four pass attempts for three yards while throwing two interceptions in the 31-21 preseason win over San Diego.

There were rumblings entering Thursday's game that Driskel could leapfrog Colin Kaepernick on the depth chart with a strong preseason finale, but he failed to deliver and now his roster spot is in jeopardy, according to the Sacramento Bee. There is always a chance that the 2016 sixth-round pick ends up on the 49ers' practice squad -- especially because his skill set matches that of head coach Chip Kelly's gameplan -- but his chance of making the 53-man roster appears to be soiled.

Gabbert -- who did not play in Thursday's preseason finale -- started the first three games of the preseason for the 49ers, finishing 12 of 22 for 146 yards and a touchdown. All 43 of his snaps were with the first-team offense, indicating that he will likely be the starting quarterback Week 1.

Gabbert entered the preseason in a battle with Colin Kaepernick for the starting quarterback job in San Francisco. The latter dealt with injuries and didn't enter a game until the third week of the preseason while the former didn't do anything to lose ground in the competition. Gabbert also sat out the final preseason game -- which is customary for starters to do -- and all signs point to a Week 1 start. It is important to note that head coach Chip Kelly hasn't officially named his starting quarterback, and he said he would give Kaepernick a fair shot at winning the job, but it would be surprising to see anyone but Gabbert under center against the Rams on Sept. 12.

Keenum has been named the Rams' starter for the beginning of the regular season, Lindsey Thiry of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Keenum had been competing with Sean Mannion and No.1 overall pick Jared Goff for the starting role. By far the most experienced of the group, Keenum projects to be the starter for the forseeable future, with the team only looking to make a change if poor play forces them to do so. He's started 15 games in his career, but never in an opener. Look for him to easily outperform his season long projections if he holds on to the starting gig for a majority of 2016.

Jones (shoulder) completed 12 of 26 passes for 117 yards and no touchdowns in Thursday's preseason loss to the Lions. He had one pass picked off - a tipped ball - and finished with a 43.3 rating. However, he was under pressure the entire evening. Said coach Rex Ryan, "If we had Jim Kelly back there with that kind of protection still been in trouble. It was hard to evaluate him. One thing I love about it is he competes. That doesn't surprise me. We know how competitive he is, but I wish we would've been able to protect him better."

Jones, as expected, was up and down all preseason. He didn't do enough to pass EJ Manuel and will be the clear No. 3 quarterback this season while the Bills give him time to develop and see if his upside is enough to overcome some of the other flaws in his game. It also looks like his minor shoulder injury is mostly out of the way.

Head coach Jeff Fisher said Thursday that if the season were to start Sunday, Sean Mannion would be the Rams' backup quarterback over Goff, Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register reports.

Another shaky outing from Goff coupled with a decent showing from Mannion on Thursday may have shaken up the Rams quarterback depth chart. Goff went just 6-for-16 for 67 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and one lost fumble. Clearly the Rams still view Goff as their future at the quarterback position, but at this time it appears he may be further away from getting on the field in a regular season game than initially thought.

McCown was checked for a concussion after Thursday's game but the results were negative, Josh Katzenstein of the Times-Picayune reports.

McCown had an abbreviated showing in Thursday's preseason finale, going 2-for-4 for 30 yards. However, he did take one sack during his cameo, so the Saints wanted to ensure that he didn't suffer a concussion. Fortunately, he passed through the concussion protocol and appears to be fine heading into Week 1.

X-rays on Petty's shoulder came back negative Thursday but he will undergo an MRI on Friday, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.

Petty exited Thursday's in the early goings after taking a hard hit, which opened the door for rookie Christian Hackenberg to see most of the playing time against the Eagles. While it's a good sign that Petty's X-rays came back negative, Friday's MRI will shed light on the full extent of his shoulder injury.

Petty left Thursday's preseason game with a shoulder injury, his return is probable, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.

Petty started the fourth and final preseason game but was forced to leave early on in the game. The specifics of the injury are unclear at this point but it doesn't appear to be very severe. If he's unable to return look for Christian Hackenberg to see a majority of the snaps for the rest of the game.

Taylor won't suit up for Thursday's preseason game at Detroit.

The Bills will exercise the utmost caution with their starting quarterback, who finished the preseason 11 of 18 for 150 yards, one touchdown pass, and two carries for seven yards. Expect him to be more of a dual threat in the regular season.
