Charlie Whitehurst QB | CLE
Colts' Charlie Whitehurst: Placed on IR
Whitehurst (hamstring) has been placed on injured reserve, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
With Andrew Luck (kidney) and Matt Hasselbeck (shoulder) uncertain for Week 17, there's some chance Stephen Morris could get the start in a game that's unlikely to have any impact on the playoff picture. In addition to needing a win and a Texans loss, the Colts need at least six other games to go in their favor to hand them the strength-of-victory tiebreaker. Whitehurst, meanwhile, is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: Expected to be ready for Week 17
Dolphins head coach Dan Campbell said Tannehill (leg) should be ready for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Campbell said Tannehill is considered day-to-day, following yet another beating in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. The quarterback's practice status will still be worth keeping a close eye on, especially with the Dolphins having little incentive to risk further injury.

Charlie Whitehurst QB | CLE
Colts' Charlie Whitehurst: Pulls hammy in win
Whitehurst pulled a hamstring during Sunday's win over the Dolphins, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
If Andrew Luck (kidney) isn't ready to return, it isn't clear that Whitehurst or Matt Hasselbeck (shoulder) will be available. Stephen Morris is the No. 4 quarterback, and while it seems likely that at least one of the other three signal-callers will be available, the Colts have almost no chance of qualifying for the playoffs, according to ESPN.com.

Kirk Cousins QB | LV
Redskins' Kirk Cousins: May be rested for Week 17
Cousins could be rested in Week 17 against the Cowboys, CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.
With the Redskins locked in as the No. 4 seed, head coach Jay Gruden acknowledged that it might make sense to rest some players. He said that Cousins' status could depend on the health of Washington's offensive line, which is a bit nicked up despite having all five starters available for Saturday's win over the Eagles. Even if Gruden decides to play his starters, it would be pretty surprising to see Cousins actually finish the game.

Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Vikings' Teddy Bridgewater: Barely needed in blowout
Bridgewater completed 15 of 25 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 49-17 win over the Giants.
As has often been the case this season, Minnesota's defense and running game put the opponent away, leaving Bridgewater with fewer than 30 pass attempts for an eight time in 15 games. He's mostly been effective with the limited volume this season, but his four-touchdown showing in Week 15 was one of the year's more unusual outliers. Bridgewater will play for the NFC North title in the regular-season finale in Green Bay, having previously thrown for 296 yards and a touchdown in a 30-13 loss to the Packers back in Week 11.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Throws for 295 yards, two touchdowns in Week 16 loss
Winsto completed 15 of 29 passes for 295 yards with two touchdows and one interception in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Bears. He also gained 10 yards on four rushes and recovered a fumble.
The rookie's stat line received a 43-yard boost on the game's final play when he was able to connect with tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins on a Hail Mary. Winston's performance was actually rather pedestrian outside of that sequence, with the 15 completions representing his third lowest total of the season, and the least he's amassed since Week 5. Winston's 51.7 completion percentage was also his lowest since his Week 1 NFL debut. Despite the lackluster afternoon, Winston has had a fine rookie season overall, and will reach the 4,000-yard mark with 283 yards passing in Tampa's Week 17 showdown against Carolina.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Miserable game at Arizona
Rodgers turned the ball over three times, including two fumbles that were returned for a pair of touchdowns, in Sunday's 38-8 blowout loss at Arizona. He was rested in the fourth quarter, finishing with 151 yards and one touchdown.
Rodgers had to deal with a strong pass rush, and was once again unable to sustain drives. His 28-yard touchdown pass to Eddie Lacy midway through the third quarter were the only points that the Packers scored. He hasn't passed for more than 300 yards in six games, and has thrown for more than two touchdown passes just once in the last seven. If you're still playing in Week 17, take note that Rodgers will play at home against the Vikings.
-
Case Keenum QB | CHI
Rams' Case Keenum: Tossed a TD pass in upset win at Seattle
Keenum completed 14 of 23 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-17 upset win against the Seahawks.
A week after a near flawless performance against Tampa Bay, Keenum wasn't asked to do much, as the Rams defense controlled things. He did manage to toss a pretty 28-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Britt in the second quarter, helping St. Louis win at Seattle for the first time in 10 years. If you need Keenum next week, take note that he'll play at San Francisco, which has been much better defensively at home this season.
-
Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Cools off in upset loss to the Rams
Wilson completed 25 of 41 passes for 289 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Rams. He also ran six times for 39 yards, losing a fumble late in the game.
In rainy and wet conditions, Wilson finally cooled off, throwing his first interception and less than three touchdown passes for the first time since Week 10. His interception came on an ill-advised throw into double coverage, and his second touchdown pass didn't come until 27 seconds left in the game. No matter, his record-setting hot streak (19:0 TD:INT ratio over the previous four games) probably catapulted a lot of fantasy owners deep into the playoffs. If you still need him next week, he'll have a tough matchup at Arizona, which held him to just 14 of 32 pass attempts for 240 yards and one touchdown in the middle of November.
-
Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Lions' Matthew Stafford: Throws for 301 yards, two touchdowns
Stafford completed 29 of 37 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's win over the 49ers. He added 11 yards on the ground on five carries.
Before the beginning of the season, the talk in Detroit was that fans were about to see the next step in Stafford's development as a more composed, efficient passer. It took the firing of offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, but Lions fans and fantasy owners are beginning to see what was being hyped. Since the bye week, Stafford has tossed 16 touchdown passes and just two picks in seven games. Stafford will close the season against the Chicago Bears, a team that is ninth worst in oppsing quarterback rating this season.
