Updating a previous item, the Bills traded linebacker Chris White to the Lions for quarterback Thaddeus Lewis. Lewis started the Browns’ regular-season finale against Pittsburgh last year and hit 22 of 32 throws for 204 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

The Bills continued to add needed quarterback depth by trading for Detroit's Thaddeus Lewis, reports ProFootballTalk. No word yet on what Buffalo gave up.

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had an unbalanced performance in Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys.

Dalton had a pass intended for Mohamed Sanu picked off by B.W. Webb in the second quarter. He played into the third quarter as he completed 12 of 16 passes for 113 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. He finished with a 68.0 passer rating.

"The fact we hurt ourselves is the biggest thing," Dalton said, per Cincinnati Enquirer. "You can look at all the bad but there are still some good stuff mixed in there. We did move the ball well, but didn’t get the points to show for it."

Rams quarterback Sam Bradford put together an OK performance Saturday in a preseason loss at Denver. Bradford went 9 of 16 for 110 yards and a touchdown pass. 

Bradford got the scoring started in the game when he hit Jared Cook for a 3-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. He finished with a quarterback rating of 98.4 and did not have an interception. 

The Rams' starting quarterback has had a fine preseason to this point and has yet to throw an interception with two touchdowns. 

Jets quarterback Geno Smith was given the start Saturday against the Giants. He was afforded a chance to prove he should be the starting quarterback for Rex Ryan Week 1. 

Although he certainly didn't show it on the field, due to Mark Sanchez's injury, Smith possibly did take one step closer to earning the Week 1 job. That said, he was awful Saturday with three interceptions. 

Smith finished 16 of 30 for 199 yards with one touchdown pass and the three picks for a QB rating of 45.7. Smith found Ben Obomanu for a 22-yard TD pass in the first quarter, but did little after that. He didn't run with the ball and managed not to fumble. 

I got a chance to see Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill up close and personal from the press box at Sun Life Stadium in the fourth preseason game against the Bucs on Saturday. He looked good, not great.

Tannehill competed 17 of 27 passes for 150 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He remains just a No. 2 Fantasy quarteback worth only a late-round pick.

This was Tannehill's third touchdown this preseason, but he remains somewhat limited in his upside. He could have had two touchdowns Saturday, but he threw behind a wide-open Brian Hartline in the end zone.

Tannehill appeared to lock in on Brandon Gibson a lot, and he led the team in targets with eight. Gibson will become Tannehill's security blanket with Dustin Keller (knee) out. His other targets were dispersed as follows: Hartline (five), Mike Wallace (four) and Charles Clay (six), who is Keller's replacement. 

Tannehill should only be considered with a late-round flier in deeper leagues.

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill turned in a productive performance as he threw his third touchdown of the preseason Saturday night against the Buccaneers.

Tannehill found Brandon Gibson in the end zone for a 4-yard touchdown strike. He played the entire first half and completed 17 of 27 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown. He finished with a 90.0 quarterback rating.

Tannehill has completed 10-plus passes in each of his last two preseason games. He has completed 34 of 56 passes for 377 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions through four preseason games.

The Bills looked overwhelmed offensively after second-string quarterback Kevin Kolb left the game against Washington with concussion-like symptoms. They called nothing but dink-and-dunk passes the rest of the way. That left their fans wondering who can lead the team downfield if rookie E.J. Manuel (knee) and Kolb are not ready to start the season.

Third-string quarterback Jeff Tuel  completed 10 of 17 passes, but for just 63 yards. And after featured back C.J. Spiller scored on a 2-yard run in the first quarter, the Bills were blanked.

Other numbers speak to the ineptitude of the Bills offense Saturday with Kolb out. They finished with a mere eight first downs and managed just 2 of 13 third-down conversions.

The Jaguars have listed their injuries for Saturday's game against the Eagles.

The players who are not expected to play include: quarterback Blaine Gabbert (thumb), running back Justin Forsett (toe) and tight end Marcedes Lewis (calf). Kevin Rutland and Jeremy Harris are also out.

The Redskins have released their list of inactives for their Saturday game against Buffalo. As expected, quarterbacks Robert Griffin III (knee) and Kirk Cousins (foot) are among the inactives, as are safety Brandon Meriweather (knee) and defensive tackle Barry Cofield (hand). Third-stringer Rex Grossman will start at quarterback.
