Jarrett Stidham QB | DEN
Broncos' Jarrett Stidham: Staying in Denver
Stidham and the Broncos agreed on a two-year, $12 million contract Sunday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Stidham will stick around Denver after spending the last two seasons with the team, most recently operating as the top backup option behind Bo Nix in 2024. The 28-year-old did not attempt a pass this past season, and he'll likely remain the No. 2 option again in 2025.

Derek Carr QB | NO
Saints' Derek Carr: Restructuring contract with NOLA
Carr (hand) and the Saints are working toward converting most of his money into a signing bonus to create salary cap space, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Carr and the Saints have spent multiple weeks discussing options on how to reduce the quarterback's salary cap hit. Converting Carr's salary to a signing bonus appears to be the route the two sides are going and will clear up about $30 million in cap space, per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, and all but guarantees that the 2014 second-round pick will return to New Orleans for a third season. Carr missed seven games in 2024 due to a left oblique injury and a fractured left hand, and he finished the regular season completing 67.7 percent of his passes for 2,145 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions across 10 games.

Tommy DeVito QB | NE
Giants' Tommy DeVito: Staying with Big Blue
The Giants re-signed DeVito on Saturday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
DeVito appeared in three games (including two starts) during the 2024 regular season and completed 31 of 44 passes for 257 yards with zero touchdowns while adding eight carries for 32 yards. With Drew Lock and Tim Boyle expected to hit free agency, DeVito is the only QB currently under contract with the Giants, though New York is expected to sign a veteran quarterback like Aaron Rodgers or Sam Darnold in free agency or target younger options like Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Vikings' Sam Darnold: Target for Seattle?
Darnold is a logical free-agent target for Seattle after the Seahawks traded Geno Smith to Las Vegas on Friday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
The Seahawks are is now in need of a new starting quarterback after moving Smith to the Raiders on Friday for a 2025 third-round draft pick. Condotta calls Darnold an "obvious target" for Seattle following the move but notes that the organization could also pursue other free-agent options. Darnold didn't have the franchise tag applied by Minnesota following his career-best 2024 campaign and is slated to be an unrestricted free agent upon the start of the new league year Wednesday

Geno Smith QB | LV
Raiders' Geno Smith: Moving to Vegas
The Seahawks traded Smith (hip) to the Raiders on Friday for a 2025 third-round pick, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
There had been rumblings that Smith was on the trade block like WR DK Metcalf, but the signal-caller now has reunited with coach Pete Carroll in Las Vegas after spending the 2020 through 2023 seasons together in Seattle. As the regular starter for the Seahawks the last three campaigns, Smith notched a 27-22 record, completed 68.5 percent of his passes, averaged 249.5 yards per game and compiled 71 touchdown passes versus 35 interceptions. He also tacked on 703 yards and four more TDs on 158 carries during that span. With the Raiders, Smith will be operating with top-notch second-year TE Brock Bowers, but the much of the rest of the receiving corps is a work in progress.

Tanner McKee QB | PHI
Eagles' Tanner McKee: Makes two appearances in 2024
McKee completed 30 of 45 pass attempts (67 percent) for 323 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions across two regular-season appearances with the Eagles in 2024. He also rushed five times for minus-one yards.
McKee played 34 percent of offensive snaps Week 17, with Jalen Hurts in the concussion protocol and backup Kenny Pickett having been forced out early due to a ribs injury, and he then started the team's Week 18 regular-season finale against New York. Having shown out well in limited action, McKee seems a solid candidate to reprise his No. 3 quarterback role behind Hurts and Pickett during the 2025 season. He has two years remaining on his deal with Philadelphia.

Kenny Pickett QB | LV
Eagles' Kenny Pickett: Capable as backup in 2024
Pickett completed 25 of 42 pass attempts (60 percent) for 291 yards, two touchdowns and one interceptions across five regular-season appearances with the Eagles in 2024. He also rushed nine times for 15 yards and one touchdown, and he fumbled once.
Almost all of Pickett's offensive snaps came in two appearances, Week 16 and Week 17, when he filled in for a concussed Jalen Hurts before being forced off the field due to a ribs injury of his own. Pickett was cleared in time for the start of Philadelphia's playoff run, ultimately playing a backup role behind Hurts en route to the team's Super Bowl LIX victory. He has one year remaining on his deal with the Eagles and figures to reprise his role as Hurts' backup for the 2025 season.

Kirk Cousins QB | ATL
Falcons' Kirk Cousins: May request trade after draft
Cousins may wait until after the NFL Draft to request a trade and/or waive his no-trade clause, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
The idea would be to see which teams use an early pick on a quarterback before finding a new home for 2025. Cousins, of course, signed a four-year contract with the Falcons last offseason, only to see them take Michael Penix with the eighth overall pick. Cousins mostly struggled in his first year back from an Achilles tear, and Penix eventually took over the starting job for the final three weeks. It may help Cousins to be another year removed from his injury, but he'll also be in his age-37 season, likely nearing the end of the line. It's unclear if he'd generate serious trade interest as a potential starter.

Deshaun Watson QB | CLE
Browns' Deshaun Watson: Agrees to contract restructure
Watson (Achilles) has agreed to a contract restructure that frees up $36 million in 2025 cap space for the Browns, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
The agreement likely adds another void year to the contract while also converting base salary into a bonus. Watson still figures to get all the money from his disastrous, fully guaranteed contract, although he may eventually play out the end of the deal as a backup or even be released. His 2024 campaign ended in October after he ruptured his right Achilles tendon -- an injury that was surgically repaired shortly thereafter, only for Watson to re-rupture the tendon later on. He had a second surgery Jan. 9, making him unlikely to be ready for Week 1 of 2025 (almost exactly eight months later). Watson has been rehabbing at the team facility but is expected to miss "significant time in the 2025 season," according to ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi. Once healthy, Watson may have to settle for a backup role, be it behind a rookie or another veteran quarterback.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Restructures to open up cap space
Prescott (hamstring) and the Cowboys agreed to terms Wednesday on a contract restructure that opens up $36.6 million in cap space, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Prescott's restructure comes just after the Cowboys made a similar move with CeeDee Lamb's contract, with the two adjustments freeing up a combined $56.6 million in cap space one week before the official start of free agency. The pair of transactions signal a willingness from the Cowboys to make a splash on the open market this offseason or work out a long-term deal for three-time All-Pro Micah Parsons. Prescott remains on track in his recovery from a torn right hamstring that he had surgically repaired back in November.
