Jalen Hurts QB | PHI
Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Likely to wear knee brace Sunday
Hurts doesn't have a designation for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Commanders, but he expects to wear a brace on the left knee that he injured during the Eagles' divisional-round win versus the Rams, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Hurts opened the week with a limited walkthrough Wednesday, but he followed it up with back-to-back uncapped sessions, thereby clearing him for Sunday's contest. The aforementioned health concern appeared to hinder him down the stretch this past Sunday, but he mentioned Friday that his left knee has "been progressing." As a result, the potential exists for Hurts' notable mobility to be scaled back somewhat, which could result in an even more run-focused game plan featuring standout running back Saquon Barkley.

Jalen Hurts QB | PHI
Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Logs full practice Thursday
Hurts (knee) practiced fully Thursday.
Hurts hurt his left knee during this past Sunday's divisional-round win versus the Rams. He operated with a cap on his reps at Wednesday's walkthrough, after which he said, "I'm progressing, taking it a day at a time," per Eric Edholm of NFL.com. Hurts proceeded to handle a full workload Thursday, clearing him up ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Commanders. In his one full game versus Washington this season back in Week 11, he completed 18 of 28 passes for 221 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions and took 10 carries for 39 yards and one TD.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Rams' Matthew Stafford: Had cracked ribs
Stafford played through four cracked ribs from Week 15 onward, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Stafford sustained the injury in Week 15 against the 49ers but continued to play without missing a beat, though he was rested along with other key Rams starters in the Week 18 regular-season finale. He aggravated the injury early in the 28-22 NFC divisional-round loss to the Eagles but didn't miss a snap. Stafford said after the loss to Philadelphia that "it sure feels like" he has more football left in him, per Nick Shook of NFL.com. Retirement doesn't seem to be on the 36-year-old quarterback's mind, and assuming he plans to resume his NFL career, Stafford will have plenty of time for his ribs to heal in the offseason.

Kyle Trask QB | TB
Buccaneers' Kyle Trask: Sparse action in 2024
Trask appeared in four games during the 2024 regular season and completed his only pass attempt for five yards while netting minus-4 yards on five carries.
The third-year pro put up only one pass attempt for the second straight season, as Baker Mayfield once again suited up for all 17 regular-season games and the Buccaneers' wild-card loss to the Commanders. Trask has only 11 pass attempts over seven regular-season contests across his first four seasons, and he's now slated for unrestricted free agency once the new league year begins March 12. The 2021 second-round pick would likely be welcomed back by the Buccaneers, but Trask may want to seek out a team where his path to playing time may be a bit more realistic.

Jalen Hurts QB | PHI
Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Limited in practice to begin week
Hurts was listed as limited participant for Wednesday's walk-through practice due to a knee injury.
According to Zach Berman of The Athletic, Hurts said Wednesday that he's feeling better after he appeared to hurt his knee in this past Sunday's 28-22 win over the Rams in the divisional round. If Hurts is able to upgrade to full participation in practice by Friday, he should head into Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Commanders without an injury designation.

Kedon Slovis QB | ARI
Texans' Kedon Slovis: Sticking around in Houston
The Texans signed Slovis to a reserve/future contract Wednesday.
Slovis was unable to make the Colts' 53-man roster at the end of training camp after signing in late April as an undrafted free agent out of BYU. He signed with the Texans' practice squad Aug. 29, though he was not elevated to the active roster during the regular season or playoffs. Slovis will be part of Houston's 90-man roster when the new league year starts March 12, and the 23-year-old will have the opportunity to participate in OTAs, minicamp and training camp.

Anthony Brown QB | BUF
Anthony Brown: Let go by Buffalo
The Bills cut Brown from the practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Brown joined the Bills' practice squad Jan. 15 in order to replicate the play of Lamar Jackson ahead of this past Sunday's AFC divisional-round clash against the Ravens. Brown will look to catch on with a team on a reserve/future contract for the 2025 season.

Devin Leary QB | BAL
Ravens' Devin Leary: Inks future deal with Baltimore
The Ravens signed Leary to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Leary was selected by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 218th overall. He was unable to beat out Josh Johnson for the backup quarterback role behind Lamar Jackson in training camp, but Leary stuck around on Baltimore's practice squad, where he spent the entire campaign. Leary will be on the Ravens' 90-man roster when the new league year starts March 12. With a full offseason under his belt, Leary will attempt to earn the QB2 role behind Jackson for the 2025 campaign.

Jake Fromm QB | DET
Lions' Jake Fromm: Sticks around in Detroit
The Lions signed Fromm to a reserve/future contract Monday.
Fromm spent his 2024 campaign with the Lions' practice squad after failing to make the active roster in late August, and he's expected to remain in Detroit after inking a reserve/future deal with the team Monday. The Georgia product's most recent in-game NFL action came in 2021 with the Giants, throwing for 210 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions over three contests. He's expected to compete for a depth role in Detroit's QB room as the offseason progresses.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Comes up short in playoff loss
Jackson completed 18 of 25 passes for 254 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and rushed six times for 39 yards in the Ravens' 27-25 divisional-round loss to the Bills on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Jackson's afternoon started off swimmingly with an eight-play, 73-yard march the star signal-caller capped off with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Rashod Bateman. However, Jackson badly overthrew Bateman under pressure on the next possession and then lost a fumble on a sack by Damar Hamlin to short-circuit Baltimore's third drive. The latter turnover helped lead to a Bills touchdown four plays later, but Lamar was able to battle back in the second half and threw his second touchdown pass of the evening on a dynamic play where he bought time with his legs before delivering a 24-yard strike to Isaiah Likely to bring the Ravens to within two. Jackson then threw a very catchable pass to Mark Andrews for the would-be game-tying two-point conversion, but the veteran tight end failed to hang on and essentially sealed the loss with his drop. The narrow defeat came in the wake of another MVP-caliber season for the 2018 first-round pick, who completed 316 of 474 passes for a career-high 4,172 yards and 41 touchdowns across 17 regular-season games. Jackson tossed only four interceptions as well and added 915 rushing yards and four scores on the ground, and he'll head into 2025 set to play out the third year of the five-year, $260 million extension he signed prior to the 2023 campaign.
