  • Kedon Slovis: Joining Green Bay's practice squad

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said Tuesday that Slovis will be signed to the practice squad, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Though Slovis wasn't able to win a spot on the Cardinals' season-opening roster, the third-year quarterback made a strong impression on the Green Bay staff during the preseason finale between the two teams this past Friday. In the Cardinals' 42-38 loss, Slovis completed 21 of 35 passes for 223 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while adding 12 yards on two carries. He'll slot third on the Packers' organizational depth chart, putting him first in line to be elevated to the roster if starter Jordan Love or top backup Tyrod Taylor miss time at any point.

  • Cardinals' Kedon Slovis: Signed to active roster

The Cardinals signed Slovis to the active roster from their practice squad Saturday, Zach Gershman of the team's official site reports. Slovis will provide extra depth at quarterback, as Kyler Murray (foot) is considered to be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup against the Colts. If Murray doesn't play, Slovis would serve as the team's backup behind Jacoby Brissett.

  • Kedon Slovis: Dumped by Houston

The Texans waived Slovis on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Slovis played 85 offensive snaps this preseason, completing 27 of 43 pass attempts for 233 yards, one touchdown and one interception. The former BYU quarterback could be an option for the practice squad.

  • Kedon Slovis: Joins Texans' practice squad

Slovis signed with the Texans' practice squad Thursday. The undrafted rookie quarterback out of BYU failed to make the Colts' initial 53-man roster Tuesday and has since since signed with Houston's practice squad. During Slovis' final collegiate season, he threw for 1,716 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions across eight games.

  • Kedon Slovis: Let go by Indianapolis

The Colts waived Slovis on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Slovis signed with the Colts in April as an undrafted free agent out of BYU. He was competing against Sam Ehlinger for the emergency quarterback job behind Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco, and Slovis finished the preseason completing 16 of 22 pass attempts for 149 yards across three outings. Slovis will look to catch on with another team should he clear waivers.
