  • Joe Flacco QB | CIN

Colts' Joe Flacco: Set to start Sunday

Flacco will start Sunday's season finale against the Jaguars, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

The veteran QB will get his second straight start, with Anthony Richardson (back) having been ruled out for Sunday's contest, per head coach Shane Steichen. While filling in for Richardson in Week 17, Flacco completed 26 of 38 passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in the Colts' 45-33 loss to the Giants. Flacco thus represents a Week 18 lineup option for those in need of QB help due to injuries or scenarios in which their signal-callers will be limited or rested this weekend.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Ruled out for Sunday

Head coach Shane Steichen noted Friday that Richardson (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Jaguars.

Per James Boyd of The Athletic, Steichen also relayed that veteran QB Joe Flacco will start in place of Richardson on Sunday. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft thus finishes his second season as a pro having completed 126 of his 264 pass attempts for 1,814 yards with eight TDs and 12 picks to go along with 86 carries for 499 yards and six rushing scores in 11 games. Now that he's been deemed out for Week 18, Richardson will turn his focus to moving past his back issue and approaching the 2025 campaign healthy.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Still not practicing

Richardson (back) remained sidelined at practice Friday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Richardson also was listed as a non-participant Wednesday and Thursday, so it doesn't seem likely he'll be available for Sunday's season finale against the Jaguars. If that's the case, Joe Flacco would be in line to start at QB for the Colts for the second straight game.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Still on track to start Sunday

Head coach Mike McDaniel said Friday that Miami is preparing for Huntley to start at quarterback in Sunday's game against the Jets, with Tua Tagovailoa (hip) not expected to be available for the regular-season finale, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.

As a replacement for Tagovailoa in Week 17, Huntley completed 22 of his 26 pass attempts for 225 yards and a touchdown while rushing seven times for 52 yards and another score in Miami's 20-3 win over the Browns. The 8-8 Dolphins need a win plus a Broncos loss to the Chiefs on Sunday in order to secure a spot in the playoffs. If the Dolphins earn a postseason berth, it's unclear if Tagovailoa would be ready to play in the wild-card round.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | MIA

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Unlikely to play Sunday

Head coach Mike McDaniel noted Friday that he sees "it as unlikely that (Tagovailoa/hip) will see any action" in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jets, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.

With that in mind, the Dolphins continue to prepare as though Tyler Huntley will start his second straight game at quarterback for the team. Per David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, McDaniel relayed that Tagovailoa's hip injury is a "unique muscle issue," not a bruise. In any case, Friday's injury report will reveal the Week 18 game status of Tagovailoa, who has been listed as limited at practice this week.

  • Mike White QB | CAR

Bills' Mike White: Promoted to active roster

The Bills signed White off their practice squad Friday.

With Josh Allen set to take only a handful of snaps in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Patriots, White will be active as Mitchell Trubisky's backup for the remainder of the contest once Allen is pulled from the game. White has attempted just six regular-season passes since the start of 2023.

  • Seahawks' John Rhys Plumlee: Signed to Seattle's active roster

The Seahawks signed Plumlee off the practice squad to the active roster Thursday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Plumlee joined the Seahawks' practice squad Nov. 20 after being cut from the Jaguars' scout team eight days prior. He hasn't been elevated to the active roster this season, but he has a shot at making his NFL regular-season debut against the Rams on Sunday now that he's on the Seahawks' 53-man roster.

  • Brock Purdy QB | SF

49ers' Brock Purdy: No practice Thursday

Purdy (right elbow) didn't practice Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Purdy hasn't officially been ruled out for the 49ers' season finale Sunday at Arizona, but his lack of activity so far this week forecasts the likely outcome for the third-year signal-caller, especially after coach Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday that Joshua Dobbs would get the start under center. As a result, Friday's injury report may confirm Purdy's lack of availability for Week 18 action after emerging from this past Sunday's loss to the Lions with a contusion and nerve inflammation in his right throwing elbow.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | MIA

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Logs another limited practice

Tagovailoa (hip) remained limited at practice Thursday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Tagovailoa, who was inactive for this past weekend's 20-3 win over the Browns, also was limited during Wednesday's session. Per Louis-Jacques, coach Mike McDaniel noted Wednesday that the Dolphins were preparing as though Tyler Huntley would draw the start for Sunday's must-win game against the Jets, while leaving open the possibility that things could potentially change on that front if Tagovailoa's hip feels better by the end of the week. In any case, Friday's final injury report is destined to reveal the QB's Week 18 game status.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Not practicing yet

Hurts (concussion/left finger) officially didn't practice Thursday.

This comes as no surprise after Hurts wasn't with his teammates during the portion of Thursday's session open to the media. No. 2 QB Kenny Pickett (ribs) also hasn't taken part in drills this week, leaving Tanner McKee and Ian Book to handle QB reps. With Hurts expected to be among a number of starters to not play Sunday against the Giants, McKee would get the nod under center in that contest if Pickett isn't cleared to suit up.
