After a visit to the sideline tent, he went to the locker room with a number of Saints personnel, favoring his left arm in the process. The precise nature of the injury isn't known, but Jake Haener took over for Carr down the stretch. As for Spencer Rattler, he was inactive but the emergency third quarterback Sunday.

O'Connell was forced out of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers with a knee injury.

Per Tashan Reed of The Athletic, O'Connell's left leg was placed in an air cast prior to him being carted off the field Sunday. With O'Connell having suffered a potentially serious injury, Desmond Ridder is in line to take over at QB for the Raiders versus Tampa Bay.

Dobbs (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bears.

Dobbs will serve as the emergency quarterback for Week 14, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Dobbs will only see the field Sunday if starter Brock Purdy and backup Brandon Allen were injured, sick or ejected.

Falcons coach Raheem Morris was emphatic when speaking with Fox NFL Sunday's Jay Glazer that no quarterback change was imminent between Cousins and Michael Penix.

Morris reiterated that Cousins' Achilles is not the cause of his recent struggles, which have seen him throw zero touchdowns and six interceptions over his last three games. He did say that Cousins was sore all over, but that they worked on his maintenance over the week of practice. Meanwhile, Fox colleague Peter Schraeger reported that Penix didn't take any first-team reps in practice this week, buttressing Glazer's report.

Falcons coach Raheem Morris was emphatic that he would not swap in Penix for the struggling Kirk Cousins, Jay Glazer from Fox NFL Sunday reports.

Peter Schrager earlier reported that Penix didn't take any snaps with the starting offense in practice this week, instead exclusively working with the scout team.

Not only are the Jets starting Rodgers this week against Miami, but they hope that he can play the rest of the season, Jay Glazer reported on Fox NFL Sunday.

Glazer emphasized how much Rodgers was playing through injuries earlier in the season, including a Week 2 Grade 2 hamstring tear. This shoots down earlier speculation that the Jets might turn to Tyrod Taylor, at least for now -- each week's results can potentially change an organization's mindset.

McKee (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 14 game against Carolina and will be the Eagles' emergency third quarterback.

This is a familiar gameday role for McKee, who has typically been inactive and deemed Philadelphia's emergency third quarterback this season. In order for him to be eligible to play Sunday, both Jalen Hurts and Kenny Pickett would need to become unable to play due to injury, illness or ejection.

Rattler (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Rattler will serve as the Saints' emergency quarterback for Week 14 behind starter Derek Carr and backup Jake Haener. Rattler will only see the field Sunday if both Carr and Haener were to leave the game due to injury.

The Giants waived Boyle on Saturday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Boyle was signed to the Giants' 53-man roster Nov. 23 to serve as the No. 3 quarterback behind Tommy DeVito and Drew Lock. Assuming he clears waivers, Boyle will look to catch on with a team in need of a practice squad quarterback, though he could opt to remain with the Giants.

O'Connell (illness) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

O'Connell missed practice Thursday but returned to full participation Friday and is good to go for Sunday's contest. He'll face a Buccaneers defense that's allowing the third-most passing yards per game in the NFL, but it remains to be seen if O'Connell will be joined by wide receiver Jakobi Meyers or running back Alexander Mattison, who are both listed as questionable due to ankle injuries.
