  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Full practice participant

Richardson (oblique) was a full practice participant Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Richardson is thus set to return for Sunday's game against the Titans after missing just one week. Multiple Indianapolis beat reporters said he looked healthy during Thursday's practice, but it is possible Richardson's continued struggles staying healthy make coach Shane Steichen hesitant to use him as a runner -- an aspect that's already been somewhat disappointing for fantasy managers with Richardson averaging 5.3 carries for 35.3 yards per game.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Looking good at practice

Richardson (oblique) looked "pretty spry" during Thursday's practice, according to Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis.

James Boyd of The Athletic agrees, even saying he'd be surprised if Richardson didn't play this Sunday against the Titans. Richardson may ultimately be listed as a limited practice participant again, but he's clearly making progress and should at least be back for Week 7 if he doesn't quite get the green light this weekend.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Set for limited practice

Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Thursday that Rodgers (ankle/hamstring) will practice in a limited capacity but will be ready for Monday's divisional matchup against the Bills, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Rodgers is dealing with both a low-ankle sprain and hamstring injury in the aftermath of New York's 23-17 loss to the Vikings in London, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. The veteran signal-caller appeared to sustain at least the ankle issue during the third quarter of the Jets' loss to Minnesota, but he didn't ultimately miss a single of the team's 71 offensive snaps while attempting a season-high 54 passes. Monday's divisional contest against Buffalo will feature a transformed Jets team, with former head coach Robert Saleh having been fired and passing game coordinator Todd Downing slated to take over offensive playcalling duties, per Albert Breer of SI.com, but at the least Rodgers' availability doesn't seem to be in any jeopardy.

  • Jake Haener QB | KC

Saints' Jake Haener: Won't start Week 6

Haener is slated to remain the Saints' No. 2 quarterback for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers with head coach Dennis Allen announcing Wednesday that rookie Spencer Rattler will start the Week 6 contest in place of the injured Derek Carr (oblique), Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Haener has served as the Saints' top backup all season while Rattler has been inactive as the No. 3 quarterback in each of the team's first five games, but the fifth-round pick out of South Carolina will leapfrog Haener on the depth chart with Carr set to miss at least one start. After Carr was injured in Monday's loss to the Chiefs, Haener directed the offense for the final drive of the night but didn't impress in his limited action, completing two of seven pass attempts for 17 yards and carrying twice for 11 yards. Other than stating that Rattler gives the Saints the best chance to win, Allen declined to provide many specifics regarding why the rookie was chosen to start over Haener, who is only a year older than Rattler and was actually drafted higher (fourth-round choice in 2023).

  • Justin Herbert QB | LAC

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Still limited by ankle issue

Herbert (ankle) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.

Herbert had some time to rest his troublesome right ankle during the Chargers' Week 5 bye, but the quarterback's listed limitations Wednesday suggest that he continues to manage the injury ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos. That said, the Chargers haven't indicated that Herbert is in any danger of missing the Week 6 contest, though he could be listed as questionable heading into the game if he doesn't upgrade to full practice participation by Friday.

  • Derek Carr QB | NO

Saints' Derek Carr: IR stint unlikely

Saints head coach Dennis Allen labeled Carr "week-to-week" Wednesday due to the left oblique strain that he suffered in Monday's loss to Kansas City, but the quarterback isn't expected to require a stint on injured reserve, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.

At the same time, Allen announced rookie fifth-round pick Spencer Rattler as the Saints' Week 6 starting quarterback over second-year pro Jake Haener. Carr didn't practice Wednesday, and Allen told Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune that the 33-year-old will retain the starting gig once he's healthy enough to play again. Ultimately, New Orleans likely will make a decision on Carr's status for Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers by week's end.

  • Saints' Spencer Rattler: Named Week 6 starter

Saints head coach Dennis Allen announced Wednesday that Rattler will start Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Though Rattler was inactive as the Saints' emergency No. 3 quarterback for each of the first five weeks, he'll get the starting nod over Jake Haener, who operated as the top backup behind Derek Carr (oblique) in each of those contests. With Carr expected to miss multiple games, Rattler has a big opportunity ahead of him, starting with a home game against a struggling Bucs defense. The rookie fifth-round pick out of South Carolina drew praise from the Saints' coaching staff during training camp, but his numbers over three preseason appearances (20-for-38 for 202 yards and one touchdown, seven carries for 26 yards and one score and one lost fumble) weren't especially inspiring given the caliber of competition he faced.

  • Will Levis QB | TEN

Titans' Will Levis: Logs full practice

Levis (shoulder) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Ben Arthur of FoxSports.com reports.

A Week 5 bye apparently gave Levis plenty of time to recover from the right shoulder injury he suffered in a Week 4 win at Miami. He should be back under center this Sunday against the Colts, facing a defense that's been arguably the worst in the NFL through the first month-plus of the season. Levis, of course, has been one of the worst starting quarterbacks, and he may even be a few bad outings away from getting replaced by Mason Rudolph.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Remains limited in practice

Richardson (oblique) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Richardson was a limited participant all last week, with reports suggesting he didn't do much on the field and didn't appear likely to play. The Colts listed him as questionable on their final Week 5 injury report, before downgrading him to doubtful and then making him inactive for Sunday's loss to Jacksonville. Richardson said Wednesday that he was never close to playing last weekend, but he completed a pregame workout and now has a real shot to play this coming Sunday against the Titans, per Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star. Head coach Shane Steichen confirmed Monday that Richardson will be the starting quarterback as soon as he's healthy, even though the offense has performed well under the guidance of veteran Joe Flacco.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Steelers' Russell Wilson: Logs full practice

Wilson (calf) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Wilson took part in his first full practice since he aggravated his calf injury Sept. 5. The veteran signal-caller took reps with the second-team offense, but head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that he will leave the door open for the 35-year-old to get some first-team work later this week. While quarterback Justin Fields seems highly likely to make another start this Sunday at Las Vegas, it won't come as any surprise if Wilson takes over at some point before the end of the season after winning the starting job coming out of the preseason.
