Huntley (hamstring) returned to practice Monday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Though it's a good sign that Huntley was able to work in some capacity Monday, coach John Harbaugh suggests that more will be known about the QB's Week 1 status after the team sees what he does during Wednesday's session. In the event that Huntley isn't available for Sunday's season opener against the Texans, Josh Johnson would be in line to back up Lamar Jackson in the contest.

Coach Bill Belichick acknowledged Monday that he was unsure whether Corral would be ready to handle the Patriots' No. 2 QB duties in the team's season opener against the Eagles on Sunday, Mike Reiss of ESPN reports.

The Patriots claimed Corral off waivers from the Panthers this past Thursday, so whether he's ready to assume the top backup role this weekend hinges on the 2022 third-rounder quickly absorbing the team's playbook. With that in mind, it's possible that the Patriots could elevate Bailey Zappe from their practice squad to serve as Mac Jones' Week 1 understudy.

Thompson will open the season as Miami's No. 3 quarterback behind Tua Tagovailoa and Mike White, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.

Thompson has officially lost the backup competition to Mike White, as expected. The 2022 seventh-round pick still has a ways to go in his development but did flash intriguing traits as a rookie, so the Dolphins have plenty of reason to continue his development. The league's new rules will allow all of Tagovailoa, White and Thompson to be active on game days, starting with Sunday's regular-season opener against the Chargers.

White will be the Dolphins' backup quarterback to start the season, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

White securing the No. 2 role was expected but not an absolute lock, given the encouraging body of work fellow signal-caller Skylar Thompson put together in head coach Mike McDaniel's offense as a rookie last season. However, this report officially confirms White will open the season as Tua Tagovailoa's direct backup after joining Miami on a two-year deal this offseason following a pair of campaigns with the division-rival Jets.

Jones agreed Monday to restructure his contract with the Giants, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

New York is converting $8.4 million of Jones' base salary for the 2023 season into a signing bonus, a move that creates $6.3 million in cap space for the team. The restructure could signal that the Giants intend to make another signing or trade prior to Sunday's regular-season opener against the Cowboys. As things currently stand, Jones is heading into the first season of his four-year, $160 million contract with a wide receiver corps housing all of Isaiah Hodgins, Darius Slayton, Parris Campbell, Wan'Dale Robinson (knee), Sterling Shepard and Jalin Hyatt, though his go-to offensive playmakers will likely be Darren Waller and Saquon Barkley.

Goff's agent and the Lions have discussed a contract extension, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.

It isn't exactly urgent given that Goff has two years left on his contract and the Lions have the fifth-most cap space in the league (per overthecap.com). He's locked in as Detroit's starting QB this year but faces an uncertain future beyond that with $26.65 million in non-guaranteed compensation for 2024. Goff will want more than that if he repeats his 2022 performance, while the Lions may want to move on if he regresses. Extension or no, Goff will start his season Thursday night at Kansas City in a battle between two teams that finished top five in scoring last year.

Fromm agreed to join the Commanders' practice squad Friday.

Fromm spent the majority of last season with Washington's practice squad, and he'll remain there ahead of the coming season. The Georgia product has appeared in only three games since entering the league in 2020, throwing for 210 yards, three interceptions and one touchdown throughout those appearances.

Offensive coordinator Brian Callahan noted Thursday that he thinks Burrow (calf) "is in a good place," adding that the team has a "good plan in place for (the QB) to get ready for Week 1," Ben Baby of ESPN reports.

Burrow, who had missed nearly six weeks due to a strained right calf, practiced again Thursday and took part in individual drills during the media-access-portion of the session. With that in mind, Callahan relayed that the next step for the Bengals' franchise signal-caller will be participation in "intense team periods" when practice resumes Monday. Assuming no setbacks, it appears as though Burrow is trending toward Week 1 availability, but for now coach Zac Taylor indicated the team would continue to take things on a day-by-day basis with the QB.

Blough signed with the Lions' practice squad on Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Blough was let go by the Cardinals on Tuesday after losing out on a roster spot to Joshua Dobbs and Clayton Tune. He'll now operate on the Lions' practice squad and prepare for a promotion should Jared Goff or backup Teddy Bridgewater miss time.

Johnson re-signed with the Ravens on Thursday, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.

With Tyler Huntley's (hamstring) status for Week 1 uncertain, Johnson's addition to the active roster indicates he beat out Anthony Brown for the Ravens' No. 3 quarterback role. Still, the Ravens are unlikely to activate three QBs for their opening game versus the Texans, so Johnson's status for that contest will likely hinge on Huntley's availability.
