  • Brock Purdy QB | SF

49ers' Brock Purdy: Limited on practice estimate

Purdy (oblique/ribs) will be listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Per Matt Barrows of The Athletic, Purdy is considered day-to-day as Thursday night's game against the Seahawks approaches. If, however, the 49ers' quick turnaround from Sunday's win over the Buccaneers doesn't allow Purdy enough healing time to face Seattle, Josh Johnson would be next up for the team's QB reps Week 15.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Enters concussion protocol

Huntley was placed in the NFL's concussion protocol following his departure from Sunday's 16-14 win over the Steelers, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Given that Huntley's early exit was attributed to a concussion, it's hardly surprising that he's entered the league's five-step protocol for head injuries. He'll likely have to advance to full practice participation by Friday and gain clearance from an independent neurologist in order to have a chance at playing Saturday against the Browns. Unless Huntley or Lamar Jackson (knee) quickly recover from their respective injuries, undrafted rookie Anthony Brown could be in line for his first NFL start this weekend.

  • Marcus Mariota QB | WAS

Falcons' Marcus Mariota: Likely IR-bound due to knee

Mariota has a knee injury and likely will be placed on injured reserve, according to coach Arthur Smith, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Mariota was benched for rookie Desmond Ridder during Atlanta's Week 14 bye, and while Smith insists Ridder's promotion was performance-based, Mariota's injury may have played a role in that decision. Atlanta recently signed quarterback Logan Woodside, who presumably will back up Ridder for the duration of Mariota's absence, off the Titans' practice squad. Mariota would miss the remainder of the regular season if placed on IR.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Saints' Andy Dalton: Remains QB1 after bye

Dalton will remain the starter under center Week 15 against the Falcons, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

If the 4-9 Saints wanted to go back to Jameis Winston under center, the Week 14 bye offered the perfect opportunity to do so. New Orleans believes Dalton gives the team a better chance to win, as the Saints have no incentive to lose given that the Eagles own their first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and New Orleans is only two games back of the NFC South-leading Buccaneers in the standings.

  • Tyrod Taylor QB | GB

Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Gets some work in blowout loss

Taylor completed all five of his pass attempts for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 14 loss to Philadelphia. He also rushed twice for 40 yards, lost a fumble and completed a two-point conversion.

Taylor came on to replace Daniel Jones midway through the fourth quarter with the game out of reach for New York. Taylor's first drive didn't go well, as he was sacked on the second play and coughed up the ball, leading to an Eagles touchdown. However, the backup QB led the Giants to a touchdown on the following drive, finding Richie James from 19 yards out one play after converting a fourth-and-15 with a 32-yard scramble. This was just Taylor's second game appearance of the season, as Jones has been able to maintain his health thus far. Taylor is among the safer backup quarterback options in the league, but Jones has done well enough this season to solidify himself as the starter for a team in the thick of the playoff hunt.

  • Mike White QB | CAR

    Jets' Mike White: Deemed day-to-day

Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Monday that White (ribs) is considered day-to-day, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

White went to the hospital as a precaution after Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Bills, but he flew back to New York City with the team. The starting quarterback's practice participation will be worth monitoring throughout the week, but White tentatively is on track to suit up Sunday against the Lions.

  • Brock Purdy QB | SF

49ers' Brock Purdy: Undergoing MRI on Monday

Purdy (oblique) is receiving an MRI on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Purdy played through an oblique issue he picked up during the second drive of Sunday's win over the Buccaneers, a contest that saw him complete 16 of 21 pass attempts for 185 yards and two passing touchdowns in addition to one rushing score -- an even more impressive performance in his first career NFL start than was initially thought, given the injury. With a quick turnaround before Thursday's contest against the Seahawks, however, the rookie seventh-round pick's status needs close monitoring. The 49ers have Josh Johnson available behind Purdy, with Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) still out.

  • Jeff Driskel QB | WAS

Texans' Jeff Driskel: Splits snaps with Mills

Driskel completed four of six passes for 38 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Cowboys. He added 36 rushing yards on seven carries.

The Texans split the playing time under center between Davis Mills and Driskel, and each was on the field for 33 snaps. The plan caught Dallas off guard and worked early, but the Cowboys' defense made the necessary adjustments as the game wore on. Driskel was on the field for a key series late in the game -- the Texans took over at the Cowboys' four-yard line following a takeaway with a chance to go up by two scores, but they didn't have Dameon Pierce (ankle) available. A three-yard pass completion to Chris Moore that came up just short of the goal line and two ineffective Rex Burkhead carries preceded what appeared to be Driskel turning the wrong way on a fourth-and-goal bootleg, and the Cowboys stopped him from scoring. While the drive will be the topic of post-game debate, it overshadowed what had been been Houston's most productive offensive showing in four games, a result that could keep Driskel involved in the game plan in Week 15 against Kansas City.

  • Browns' Jacoby Brissett: Enters for one failed snap

Brissett went 0-for-1 on his lone play of the game in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Bengals.

Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski, who has designed many productive opening drives in 2022, is getting second-guessed by the Monday morning quarterbacks after this loss. On Sunday's opening drive, the coach replaced Deshaun Watson (3-for-3, 34 yards at the time) with Brissett on fourth-and-1 at the Bengals' 25. Instead of a quarterback sneak, Brissett sailed a corner-route throw over Donovan Peoples-Jones. Instead of getting three points or letting his highly paid starting QB handle a crucial situation, Stefanski rolled the dice and it didn't pay off. Barring a Watson injury, Brissett will see a similar situational role for the rest of the season.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Completes just 10 passes

Tagovailoa (ankle) completed 10 of 28 pass attempts for 145 yards and a touchdown while adding 28 yards on three rushing attempts in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Chargers.

Tagovailoa turned in his worst performance of the season against a Chargers secondary that was without star safety Derwin James (quadriceps). The 24-year-old completed just 36 percent of his passes one week after completing a season-low 55 percent against the 49ers. Tagovailoa was cleared of the minor ankle injury he suffered in Week 13, but perhaps his putrid performance indicates that he wasn't at full strength. On a positive note, the southpaw was able to reincorporate the rushing aspect of his fantasy game after compiling zero rushing yards over his last four games. Tua and the Dolphins will look to rebound in a pivotal AFC East matchup against the Bills on Saturday.
