  • P.J. Walker QB | SEA

Panthers' PJ Walker: Benched, may cede starting role

Walker completed three of 10 passes for nine yards and two interceptions in Sunday's 42-21 loss to the Bengals. He added one rush for six yards.

Coming off a few solid performances, Walker turned in a disastrous first half against the Bengals, with both of his interceptions giving Cincinnati a short field that led directly to touchdowns. As a result, he was benched in favor of Baker Mayfield for the final two quarters. After the game, interim coach Steve Wilks refused to name a starter for Carolina's Week 10 matchup against the Falcons on Thursday, per David Newton of ESPN.com. Walker's time as the team's starter may have come to a close.

  • Geno Smith QB | NYJ

Seahawks' Geno Smith: Two more TDs in Week 9 win

Smith completed 26 of 34 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns with an interception in Sunday's 31-21 win over the Cardinals. He added 38 rushing yards on six carries.

The interception was turned into a pick-six by Zaven Collins, but otherwise it was another impressive performance from Smith. The veteran quarterback has tossed multiple TDs in seven of nine games, giving him a 15:4 TD:INT on the season and plenty of momentum as the Seahawks carry a four-game winning streak into a Week 10 clash with the Buccaneers in Germany.

  • Zach Wilson QB | NO

Jets' Zach Wilson: Does enough to beat Bills

Wilson completed 18 of 25 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 win over Buffalo. He added 24 yards on five rushing attempts and lost a fumble.

Wilson stayed down after taking a big hit in the first quarter and was checked out in the medical tent for what Rich Cimini of ESPN reports was an ankle injury, but he returned for New York's next possession after the Jets kicked a field goal. He fumbled in Buffalo territory in the third but bounced back on the ensuing drive with a go-ahead seven-yard touchdown pass to James Robinson. Much of the credit for this victory goes to a Jets secondary that picked off Josh Allen twice and held Buffalo to 17 points, but Wilson played his part in improving the team's record to 6-3, including a 5-1 mark in games started by the second-year quarterback, heading into the Week 10 bye.

  • Marcus Mariota QB | WAS

Falcons' Marcus Mariota: Quiet performance in loss

Mariota completed 12 of 23 passes for 129 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the Falcons' 20-17 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. He also rushed five times for 24 yards.

Mariota put up a typically modest performance through the air and couldn't put together a productive rushing effort. The veteran signal-caller couldn't do much after a successful first two drives that netted 145 yards and 10 points, with Atlanta's next four possessions resulting in three punts and a fumble. Mariota was able to helm one more scoring march in the third quarter that culminated in a Cordarrelle Patterson three-yard touchdown rush, but he ultimately finished with his third sub-130-yard tally through the air in the last four games. Mariota will aim for much better production across the board in a Week 10 road matchup versus the Panthers on Thursday night.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Lions' Jared Goff: Throws for two scores in win

Goff completed 14 of 26 pass attempts for 137 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 15-9 win over Green Bay.

Goff wasn't asked to do much in this contest, as the Lions were carried by their defense (three turnovers) and running game (30 carries for 118 yards) in a win over a divisional rival. The veteran quarterback converted a pair of short touchdown passes to salvage what would have been his lowest passing output of the season. Goff has now thrown for 2,041 yards with 14 touchdowns (seven picks) through eight games, putting him on pace for his first 4,000-yard season since 2019 with the Rams. The Bears are on tap for Goff and the Lions next Sunday.

  • Malik Willis QB | MIA

Titans' Malik Willis: Draws another start Sunday

With Ryan Tannehill (ankle) inactive for Sunday night's game against the Chiefs, Willis is in line for his second consecutive start at QB for the Titans, Turron Davenport of ESPN reports.

In last weekend's 17-10 win over the Texans, Willis completed 6-of-10 passing attempts for 55 yards with one interception and no TDs, while adding five carries for 12 yards in a contest in which the Titans leaned heavily on running back Derrick Henry. A similar approach could again be in order Sunday if game flow allows for it, though Willis should throw more frequently than he did against Houston. With that in mind, the 2022 third-rounder is a speculative fantasy option in Week 9 against the 5-2 Chiefs, but the rookie does at least represent an alternative for those who normally rely on Tannehill or who are seeking short-term help in QB-heavy formats with six NFL teams currently on bye.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Inactive Sunday night

Tannehill (ankle) is inactive for Sunday night's game against the Chiefs.

With Tannehill still sidelined, rookie Malik Willis is slated to make his second consecutive start Sunday, while Logan Woodside is set to serve as Tennessee's No. 2 QB. Tannehill will now target a potential return to action in Week 10, when the Titans host the Broncos.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Overshadowed by Mixon

Burrow completed 22 of 28 passes or 206 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 42-21 win over the Panthers. He added four rushes for nine yards and an additional score.

Burrow had a strong bounceback performance following a disappointing primetime effort in Week 8. His day was highlighted by a one-yard rushing touchdown early in the second quarter and a 12-yard scoring pass to Joe Mixon. Burrow missed out on a bigger day as Mixon accounted for five of Cincinnati's six touchdowns and because the Bengals were able to coast to a victory after jumping out to a 35-0 lead before halftime. Nevertheless, Burrow has at least two total touchdowns in all but one game this season, giving him a very safe floor.

  • Commanders' Taylor Heinicke: Throws pair of TDs in loss

Heinicke completed 15 of 28 passes for 149 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Commanders' 20-17 loss to the Vikings on Sunday. He also rushed four times for 17 yards.

Heinicke had a positive impact with touchdown tosses of of 49 and six yards to Curtis Samuel and Dax Milne, respectively, but his fourth-quarter interception could hardly have been more ill-timed. With the Commanders up by seven, Heinicke overthrew Logan Thomas by an appreciable margin midway through the final period, resulting in a Harrison Smith interception that set up a game-tying 12-yard receiving touchdown by Dalvin Cook two plays later. Heinicke does have five touchdown tosses in his first three starts while throwing a pick in each game, and he'll aim to boost his numbers in a tough Week 10 road matchup against the Eagles on Monday night, Nov. 14.

  • Kirk Cousins QB | LV

Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Strong showing in close win

Cousins completed 22 of 40 passes for 265 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Vikings' 20-17 win over the Commanders on Sunday. He also netted minus-2 yards on two rush attempts.

Cousins put together his fourth 250-yard-plus tally in the last six games while helping snap his old squad's three-game winning streak in his first game back in the nation's capital. The veteran signal-caller did get the wind knocked out of him following a 47-yard completion to Justin Jefferson early in the fourth quarter, per Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, but he ultimately missed just one play. Cousins now has a 5:0 TD:INT in his last three games going into an unenviable Week 10 road matchup against the Bills.
