Jared Goff QB | DET
Lions' Jared Goff: Under pressure in New England
Goff completed 19 of 35 passes for 229 yards with one interception while rushing three times for seven yards with one fumble during Sunday's 29-0 loss to New England.
Despite the returns of Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jonah Jackson, Goff had a hard time getting the ball out and coughed up a fumble that was returned for a touchdown in the second quarter. A Lions offense that entered the day leading the league in both yards (436.8) and points (35) per game ultimately didn't come close to either number despite racking up some yardage in garbage time. Even worse, Detroit went 0-for-6 on fourth down and did not even get off a field-goal attempt. With Detroit now sitting at 1-4, it's probably an opportune time for the team's bye week to come around in Week 6. The possible return of DJ Chark (ankle) could help Goff get the offense back on track in Week 7 against Dallas.

Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Dolphins' Teddy Bridgewater: In concussion protocol
Bridgewater is in the NFL's concussion protocol after exiting Sunday's 40-17 loss to the Jets, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN reports.
Though Bridgewater subsequently passed his concussion evaluation and doesn't have concussion symptoms at this stage, per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, under the league's revised policy on handling head injuries and/or concussions, the QB was deemed a "no-go" to return to Sunday's contest based on the judgement of the booth ATC spotter (independent certified athletic trainer) and was replaced by Skylar Thompson. Bridgewater, who was starting in place of Tua Tagovailoa, who is also in the concussion protocol and without a return timetable, will now look to gain clearance to play ahead of next Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Falcons' Marcus Mariota: No turnovers in loss
Mariota completed 14 of 25 passes for 147 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 21-15 loss to Tampa Bay. He also rushed seven times for 61 yards and didn't lose his only fumble.
After a stagnant start to the contest, Mariota and the Falcons offense got going in the second half and produced modest results. The key for Mariota on the day was zero turnovers after turning the ball over five times over his previous three games. His dual-threat ability gives him a relatively high floor, but it appears the Falcons offense will be limited against top-tier defenses like Tampa Bay, especially when they are without Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) and Kyle Pitts (hamstring). Mariota salvaged his production by connecting with Olamide Zaccheaus for an 18-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter, but his overall production was far from elite.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Explodes for massive numbers
Allen completed 20 of 31 passes for 424 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in the Bills' 38-3 win over the Steelers on Sunday. He also rushed five times for 42 yards.
Allen served notice on what type of day it would be for the Bills' air attack when he hit Gabe Davis in the first quarter for a 98-yard catch-and-run touchdown on which the speedster split two defenders down the middle of the field. The prolific quarterback wouldn't really slow down much until the game was well out of hand, eventually connecting with Davis again for a 62-yard score and adding 15- and 24-yard scoring tosses to Stefon Diggs and Khalil Shakir, respectively, all in the second quarter. The fact Allen was able to put up such numbers despite Buffalo leading comfortably for most of the game was certainly a boon for his fantasy managers, and he's now already hit the 400-yard mark twice in his first five games. Allen's next opportunity to continue adding to his stellar early season production comes in a Week 6 road showdown against the Chiefs on Sunday.

Justin Fields QB | KC
Bears' Justin Fields: Season high through air
Fields completed 15 of 21 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-22 loss to the Vikings. He also rushed eight times for 47 yards.
Fields not only passed for his most yards this season, but he also put together his first turnover-free outing of the campaign. That feat came despite Fields fumbling twice Sunday, as the Bears recovered both times. Although his lone touchdown came on an easy push pass to Velus Jones, Fields additionally led Chicago in rushing yards, marking his best overall performance of a maligned second season to date.
-
Kirk Cousins QB | LV
Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Totals two touchdowns
Cousins completed 32 of 41 passes for 296 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 29-22 win over the Bears. He also rushed four times for four yards and another score.
Cousins was especially efficient targeting top wideout Justin Jefferson, who finished with another monster performance of 12 catches for 154 yards. While Jefferson's production accounted for over half of Cousins' passing yards, the signal-caller also notched a pair of one-yard touchdowns. First, he gave Jalen Reagor a push pass to score in the second quarter, before sneaking in himself to take the lead in the fourth. In doing so, Cousins helped the Vikings secure first place in the NFC North, giving them three consecutive wins ahead of Week 6's matchup versus the Dolphins.

Kenny Pickett QB | CAR
Steelers' Kenny Pickett: Plenty of volume in first NFL start
Pickett completed 34 of 52 pass attempts for 327 yards, no touchdowns and an interception while rushing once for 10 yards during the Steelers' 38-3 loss to Buffalo on Sunday.
The Steelers fell behind early in Sunday's matchup, so the team relied heavily on the passing game during Pickett's first professional start. Although the rookie first-rounder was unable to lead the team to the end zone, it was encouraging to see him rack up plenty of yards through the air after Mitch Trubisky averaged just 163.3 yards per game over the first four weeks of the season. In spite of the lopsided final score, it seems likely that Pickett will retain the starting job under center since he had some success moving the Steelers' offense.

Daniel Jones QB | IND
Giants' Daniel Jones: Works efficiently in win
Jones completed 21 of 27 pass attempts for 217 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 27-22 win over the Packers. He added 10 rushes for 37 yards.
After attempting over 30 passes in each of his last two games, Jones returned to more limited volume on Sunday. However, he worked fairly efficiently, tallying eight yards per pass attempt while primarily working in short areas of the field. Despite spending much of the week on the injury report due to an ankle injury, Jones also chipped in a few big plays on the ground, highlighted by a 14-yard scamper late in the third quarter. Jones hasn't been particularly friendly for fantasy purposes, but he has not turned the ball over in three of five games on the season.
-
Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Two touchdowns in loss
Rodgers completed 25 of 39 passes for 222 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Giants.
Rodgers led the Packers' offense effectively for the majority of the game, highlighted by touchdown passes of four and two yards to Allen Lazard and Marcedes Lewis, respectively. He also found particular rapport with Randall Cobb, whom Rodgers targeted on 13 of his 39 attempts. Despite the solid game, Rodgers did struggle with efficiency, averaging only 5.7 yards per attempt while also having two of his final pass attempts batted down near the goal line as the Packers attempted to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. Despite some concerns, Rodgers has thrown for multiple touchdowns in four of five games this season.

Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Dolphins' Teddy Bridgewater: Won't return Sunday
Bridgewater (elbow/head) won't return to Sunday's game against the Jets.
Per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Bridgewater being held out for the remainder of Sunday's contest is related to the NFL's new concussion protocol, though there are reports that the QB was able to pass his initial concussion tests. In his absence, Skylar Thompson is handling Miami's signal-caller duties against the Jets.
