Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Seen at practice Thursday
Prescott (thumb) got back on the practice field Thursday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Only 10 days out from surgery to repair his broken right thumb, Prescott didn't throw a football or take any snaps, but he was spotted gripping and tossing a softball-sized weighted ball. Per Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News, Prescott still has stitches in his right hand, but those likely will be removed in the near future. It's unclear when Prescott will be able to mix into on-field work, but there's hope he'll be back either Week 4 against the Commanders or Week 5 at the Rams. As long as Prescott is sidelined, Cooper Rush will direct the Cowboys offense.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Dealing with sore elbow
Jackson was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a right elbow injury, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Jackson reportedly was an observer for much of practice while backup quarterback Tyler Huntley threw to the Baltimore pass catchers. Even if he didn't do much Wednesday, Jackson's participation in any capacity suggests the injury to his throwing elbow isn't too serious. He showed no signs of limitation this past Sunday, piling up 437 total yards and four touchdowns in a 42-38 loss to the Dolphins. For his part, head coach John Harbaugh noted Wednesday that Jackson will be playing this Sunday against the Patriots, portraying the signal-caller's practice limitations as "just a normal course-of-the-season thing."

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Saints' Jameis Winston: Will be limited in practice
Saints head coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday that Winston (back/ankle) will have his practice reps limited this week, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
The news comes as no surprise, as Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported before this past Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers that Winston is playing through four fractures in his back. Winston proceeded to complete 25 of 40 passes for 236 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in the Saints' eventual 20-10 loss. He'll go down as a limited participant Wednesday and likely for the other two official practices of Week 3 as well.

Justin Herbert QB | LAC
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Does individual drills
Herbert (ribs) is feeling better this week and will be a limited practice participant Wednesday after doing some throwing Tuesday, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Herbert played through fractured rib cartilage in the fourth quarter of last Thursday's loss to the Chiefs, throwing his third and final touchdown while clearly in pain. The Chargers consider him day-to-day, and he'll wear a rib protector during individual drills at Wednesday's practice.

Trey Lance QB | LAC
49ers' Trey Lance: Heads to injured reserve
The 49ers placed Lance (ankle) on injured reserve Wednesday
This transaction was inevitable after Lance broke his right fibula and suffered a ligament disruption in his right ankle Week 2 against the Seahawks. The second-year signal-caller already underwent season-ending surgery Monday, and he's expected to remain in San Francisco for the entirety of his rehab with the anticipation that he'll return to full health for the 2023 season. In Lance's stead, Jimmy Garoppolo has retaken the reins of the 49ers offense, with Brock Purdy serving as the team's No. 2 quarterback.

Malik Willis QB | MIA
Titans' Malik Willis: Makes regular-season debut
Willis completed one of four passes for six yards to go along with no touchdowns and no interceptions in Monday's 41-7 loss to the Bills. He added four rushes for 16 yards.
Willis played the final 19 minutes of the game, entering in relief of Ryan Tannehill in the midst of the blowout loss. He struggled with his accuracy as a passer -- his lone completion went to Austin Hooper -- and also lost a fumble. On the other hand, he did show his potential as a rusher, one of the factors that made him an intriguing prospect in the 2022 NFL Draft. Despite Ryan Tannehill's early struggles, Willis will almost certainly remain the backup for the majority -- if not the entirety -- of the campaign.

Kirk Cousins QB | LV
Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Takes step back in Week 2
Cousins completed 27 of 46 attempts for 221 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions and rushed twice for 20 yards in the Vikings' 24-7 loss to the Eagles on Monday night. He also committed a fumble recovered by Minnesota.
In contrast to a stellar first full game in head coach Kevin O'Connell's offense in Week 1, Cousins slogged through a messy performance that saw him short-circuit drives at the goal line, the Eagles' 13-yard line and the end zone, the final pick occurring with 7:07 remaining and snuffing out any possibility of a comeback for Minnesota. Cousins threw his one touchdown to Irv Smith in the second quarter, and he continued to focus heavily on Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen to the tune of 10 completions on 19 targets. The veteran signal-caller will aim to bounce back in a Week 3 NFC North home battle against the Lions on Sunday.

Jalen Hurts QB | PHI
Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Stellar in Week 2 victory
Hurts completed 26 of 31 passes for 333 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Eagles' 24-7 win over the Vikings on Monday night, adding 11 rushes for 57 yards and two additional scores. He also committed a fumble recovered by Philadelphia.
Hurts turned in an even more impressive outing than he had during the Eagles' 38-point haul in Week 1 against the Lions, putting together a nearly perfect passing performance that saw him average a whopping 10.7 yards per attempt. The mobile signal-caller also used his legs with great effectiveness for the second time in as many games to open the season, scoring from three and 26 yards out. Hurts did a good job ensuring two important targets that had been left out of the Week 1 fun altogether -- DeVonta Smith and Quez Watkins -- were involved in significant fashion, connecting with the former on a team-high seven occasions for 80 yards and the latter for a 53-yard touchdown on one on of his two catches. Hurts' next opportunity to build on a stellar start to the season comes in a Week 3 divisional road matchup against the Commanders on Sunday.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Dreadful in Buffalo
Tannehill completed 11 of 20 passes for 117 yards and two interceptions in Monday's 41-7 loss to the Bills. He added two yards on one rushing attempt.
Tannehill marched the Titans down the field for a Derrick Henry rushing touchdown on the opening drive, but Tennessee's offense couldn't get anything going the rest of the way. The 34-year-old quarterback was intercepted twice in the third quarter, and the latter pick was returned for a touchdown, which put the Bills up 41-7 and ended Tannehill's night as the Titans decided to insert rookie Malik Willis into the game. Willis looked raw and lost a fumble, so Tannehill's still the clear No. 1 quarterback for Tennessee heading into a Week 3 clash of surprisingly winless teams against the Raiders.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Throws four TDs in three quarters
Allen completed 26 of 38 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns in Monday's 41-7 win over the Titans. He added 10 yards on one rushing attempt.
Allen capped the opening drive with an 11-yard touchdown pass to fullback Reggie Gilliam for Buffalo's seventh consecutive opening drive touchdown in a regular season or playoff game. The Bills moved the ball well again on the next drive but turned it over on downs in Tennessee territory. A field goal followed by a four-yard Allen touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs in the second quarter gave the Bills a 17-7 lead heading into halftime, and Allen proceeded to put the game out of reach in the third quarter with touchdowns of 46 and 14 yards to Diggs before getting the rest of the night off. Allen has a 7:2 TD:INT through the air and a rushing touchdown heading into a Week 3 road clash with the AFC East rival Dolphins.
