  • Bijan Robinson RB | ATL

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Contained in Week 5 win

Robinson rushed 14 times for 46 yards and secured both targets for 12 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons' 21-19 win over the Texans on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.

Robinson was uncharacteristically inefficient against a feisty Texans defense, which held him to a long run of 13 yards on the day. The rookie's early-third-quarter fumble after a one-yard run also led to a Texans field goal, but Robinson partly made up for that with a six-yard touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter. Robinson logged three fewer carries than backfield mate Tyler Allgeier, but that's likely not going to be the case most weeks. Robinson should have an opportunity to atone for his underwhelming day on the ground in a Week 6 home matchup against the Commanders.

  • De'Von Achane RB | MIA

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Strikes for big plays Sunday

Achane rushed 11 times for 151 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for 14 yards in the Dolphins' 31-16 win over the Giants on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.

Achane's blazing speed once again manifested itself against a helpless opponent, with the rookie taking a pitch and exploding up the left side for a 76-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. While that play accounted for just over half of Achane's rushing yardage tally for the day, he also averaged 7.5 yards per carry on his other 10 totes, a testament to his elite efficiency. Achane has now eclipsed the 100-yard mark in three consecutive games, gaining an astounding 455 yards and scoring five rushing touchdowns on just 37 carries over that span. He could very well keep adding to that torrid stretch in Week 6, as a highly vulnerable Panthers defense comes to South Florida for an interconference matchup.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Panthers' Miles Sanders: Fumbles in defeat

Sanders rushed seven times for 32 yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's 42-24 loss to the Lions. He also didn't catch his only target.

Sanders overcame a groin injury to suit up Sunday, but he turned in another disappointing performance. While Carolina's offense as a whole struggled to move the ball for large spells, Sanders' second-quarter fumble led to a Detroit touchdown and marked the tailback's second turnover through five games. Sanders also hasn't topped 50 scrimmage yards in three of his last four appearances, tempering his stock ahead of the Week 6 game in Miami.

  • Lions' David Montgomery: Another big game

Montgomery rushed 19 times for 109 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 42-24 win over the Panthers. He also caught two of six targets for 20 yards.

Montgomery opened the scoring with a 42-yard touchdown on Detroit's first offensive series. With rookie Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) sidelined, Montgomery was the clear focal point of the backfield and continued his excellent start to the season. Along with scoring in each of his four appearances, Montgomery has now topped 125 scrimmage yards in consecutive games. Whether or not Gibbs can return in Week 6 versus the Buccaneers, Montgomery figures to remain key to the Lions' offensive success.

  • Zonovan Knight RB | ARI

Lions' Zonovan Knight: Leaves with injury

Knight has exited Sunday's game against the Panthers with a shoulder injury.

Knight was holding his left arm and was helped off the field by trainers, according to Justin Rogers of The Detroit News. Craig Reynolds has since entered the game in his place, and with the score heavily in Detroit's favor, it's unlikely Knight will return.

  • Samaje Perine RB | CIN

Broncos' Samaje Perine: In line for added work Sunday

Perine is expected to start Sunday against the Jets, with Javonte Williams (quadriceps) inactive for the contest, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

In last weekend's win over the Bears -- a contest in which Williams played just eight snaps on offense -- Perine logged 22 snaps with six carries for 12 yards with two catches for 23 yards while rookie Jaleel McLaughlin took 16 snaps and carried seven times for 72 yards with three catches for 32 yards and a touchdown. With Williams out this weekend, Dwayne Washington is available in reserve, with Perine and McLaughlin likely to form a timeshare out of the backfield. Thus, Perine represents a lineup option for those who are looking to replace Williams or otherwise scrambling for a replacement running back.

  • Broncos' Jaleel McLaughlin: Added work in store Sunday

McLaughlin and Samaje Perine are in line to see expanded roles Sunday against the Jets with No. 1 back Javonte Williams (quadricep) inactive for the contest, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports.

When Williams recorded just eight snaps (with two carries and three catches) on offense in last weekend's win over the Bears, Perine took 22 snaps for six carries for 12 yards, with two catches for 23 yards, while McLaughlin handled 16 snaps en route to carrying seven times for 72 yards and catching three passes for 32 yards and a touchdown. This time around, Dwayne Washington is in reserve, with Perine and McLaughlin on track to share the bulk of the team's Week 5 backfield work. Of the two, McLaughlin could be the upside play, based on his efforts last weekend.

  • Broncos' Javonte Williams: Inactive Sunday

Williams (quad) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets.

After missing Wednesday's practice and being limited a day later, Williams upgraded to full participation Friday; however he'll be sidelined Sunday, perhaps with an eye toward keeping him healthy and fresh for this coming Thursday's contest against the Chiefs. In his absence, Samaje Perine and Jaleel McLaughlin are in line to see expanded roles out of the Broncos' Week 5 backfield, with Dwayne Washington in reserve. When Williams logged just eight snaps (with two carries and three catches) on offense in last weekend's win over the Bears, Perine handled 22 snaps and six carries for 12 yards while adding two catches for 23 yards. Meanwhile, McLaughlin took 16 snaps on his way to carrying seven times for 72 yards and catching three passes for 32 yards and a TD.

  • James Cook RB | BUF

Bills' James Cook: Stuffed by Jags

Cook lost four yards on five carries and caught three of four targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Jaguars.

The Bills' entire offense was completely flat for nearly the whole first half, and quarterback Josh Allen took matters into his own hands after halftime, so Cook didn't get much of a chance to improve his numbers. It's the second-year back's worst performance of the season, but he should be able to rebound in Week 6 against a vulnerable Giants run defense.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Sitting again Sunday

Ingram (neck) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Bengals.

Ingram thus will log a second straight absence due to a neck injury that emerged late during Week 4 prep. With Ingram sidelined, Emari Demercado and perhaps Corey Clement will be on hand for any backfield reps that don't go to starter James Conner. Ingram's next chance to suit up arrives Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Rams.
