  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: More production as receiver in loss

Robinson rushed six times for 10 yards and brought in all four targets for 33 yards in the Commanders' 40-20 loss to the Bears on Thursday night.

Robinson's viability in the ground attack quickly evaporated when the Commanders fell behind by more than three touchdowns in the first half. That helped push him into more of a pass-catching role, resulting in a season high in receptions. Conversely, Robinson's carries and rushing yardage were both low-water marks for him this season, but he should have the benefit of a more normal game script in a Week 6 road matchup against the Falcons on Sunday, Oct. 15.

  • Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ

Bears' Khalil Herbert: Dealing with ankle issue

Herbert is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Bears after suffering a right ankle injury, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Herbert originally suffered the injury in the third quarter, when his leg got caught in the turf as he was being tackled. He was able to return to the game after having his ankle wrapped, but that only lasted briefly before he exited again. If Herbert is done for the night, Chicago will likely have to rely on Khari Blasingame to work out of the backfield with Roschon Johnson (concussion) and Travis Homer (hamstring) also dealing with injuries.

  • Travis Homer RB | PIT

Bears' Travis Homer: Might not return

Homer suffered a hamstring injury on Thursday night against the Commanders and is listed as questionable to return.

The backup's exit leaves the Bears with just one available running back in starter Khalil Herbert. Roschon Johnson (concussion) already been ruled out, and D'Onta Foreman is inactive.

  • Bears' Roschon Johnson: Ruled out from return

Johnson (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Commanders.

Johnson exited the game in the second quarter to be evaluated for a concussion. While there's been no official announcement about his diagnosis, Johnson will be out for the game after recording three rushes for 19 yards. He'll have nine days to recover prior to the Bears' Week 6 matchup against the Vikings.

  • Bears' Roschon Johnson: Being evaluated for concussion

Johnson exited Thursday's game against the Commanders to be evaluated for a concussion.

Johnson exited midway through the second quarter. Prior to his exit, he had three carries for 19 yards. It's unclear if he'll be able to return.

  • Kyren Williams RB | LAR

Rams' Kyren Williams: Returns to limited practice

Williams (hip) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

A sore hip sidelined Williams in the first session of Week 5 prep Wednesday, but he's now made some headway through the health concern one day later. Friday's practice and the injury report that follows will unveil whether or not he heads into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game versus the Eagles. Through four contests this season, Williams has paced the Rams backfield with 64 carries and 11 catches, which he's turned into 346 yards from scrimmage and six total touchdowns.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Bears' D'Onta Foreman: Another healthy scratch

Foreman (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Thursday at Washington.

Since opening the season with seven touches for 24 yards from scrimmage Week 1 against the Packers, Foreman now will be a healthy scratch for a fourth consecutive game. Instead, the Bears will continue to roll with Khalil Herbert as their No. 1 running back, Roschon Johnson as the primary backup and Travis Homer almost exclusively on special teams.

  • Kyren Williams RB | LAR

    Rams' Kyren Williams: Practicing Thursday

Williams (hip) took part in Thursday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Williams' activity level won't be known until the Rams post their second injury report of Week 5 prep, but his presence on the practice field Thursday is a step in the right direction after he missed Wednesday's session due to a sore hip. Even if Williams is unable to log a full practice by week's end, there's an expectation from coach Sean McVay that the running back should be able to suit up Sunday against the Eagles, according to Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com.

  • Broncos' Javonte Williams: Logs limited practice

Williams (quad) was listed as limited at practice Thursday.

Williams didn't practice Wednesday, but his return to Thursday's session, albeit in a limited capacity, is a good sign regarding his chances of being available Sunday against the Jets. However, Denver's lead back will presumably need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid a Week 5 injury designation.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Stays limited at practice

Jones (hamstring) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee reports.

After sitting out Weeks 2 and 3 due to a strained left hamstring, Jones managed to play 20 of 57 offensive snaps last Thursday against the Lions on his way to five carries for 18 yards and one catch (on two targets) for minus-4 yards. Fellow RB AJ Dillon continued to pace the Packers backfield in snaps (38), but he mustered just five rushes himself for 11 yards. With a week to recover, Jones appears to be in a similar spot to Week 4 prep, but he'll have two more chances to get back to full ahead of Monday's game at Las Vegas.
