  • Zavier Scott RB | MIN

Vikings' Zavier Scott: Status in question for Thursday

Scott (wrist) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game at the Chargers.

The same can be said for fellow RB Aaron Jones (hamstring), though the Vikings will need to activate him from injured reserve Thursday afternoon for him to have a chance to return to action for the first time since Week 2. If Jones remains sidelined and Scott is deemed active, the latter will resume his modest role behind Jordan Mason from the last four contests (6.8 touches for 29.5 yards from scrimmage per game while recording one TD catch).

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Vikings' Aaron Jones: Officially questionable for Week 8

Jones (hamstring), who was designated for return from injured reserve Tuesday, is listed as questionable for Thursday's contest at the Chargers.

Jones was limited at walkthroughs Tuesday and Wednesday, but the activity was enough to give him a chance for his first game action since Week 2, when he suffered a hamstring injury during a loss to the Falcons. Jordan Mason has been capable out of the Vikings backfield in place of Jones, racking up 301 yards from scrimmage and four rushing TDs on 66 touches over the last four outings. Fellow RB Zavier Scott (wrist) also is listed as questionable for Week 8, so the transactions made by Minnesota on Thursday afternoon, like potentially activating Jones from IR, will be telling for who will join Mason as options for the ground game.

  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: Limited by knee issue

Hall (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Hall logged a 54 percent snap share in this past Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers en route carrying 11 times for 38 yards and adding two catches on three targets for 14 yards. Now that's been deemed a limited participant in practice Wednesday, the running back's status is worth monitoring ahead of this weekend's game against the Bengals. If Hall ends up limited or sidelined versus Cincinnati, Isaiah Davis would be in line to see added backfield snaps in Week 8.

  • Hassan Haskins RB | LAC

Chargers' Hassan Haskins: Ruled out for TNF

Haskins (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Vikings, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.

Haskins will not be available Week 8, paving the way for Kimani Vidal to once again operate as Los Angeles' clear lead back with Omarion Hampton (ankle) still on injured reserve. With Haskins sidelined, expect at least one or two of Nyheim Hines, Jaret Patterson and Trayveon Williams to be elevated from the practice squad to provide the Chargers some additional backfield depth.

  • Tyler Allgeier RB | ATL

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Tending to pair of injuries

Allgeier was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate due to hip and knee injuries, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

Allgeier has earned double-digit touches in four of six contests this season, but he's coming off the Falcons' Week 7 loss at San Francisco in which he took just four carries for 16 yards and wasn't targeted while starter Bijan Robinson notched 92 yards from scrimmage and a receiving TD on 20 touches. With a pair of inujries now in tow, Allgeier will have two more chances to prove his health this week ahead of Sunday's contest against the Dolphins.

  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Bears' D'Andre Swift: No practice Wednesday

    Swift (groin) didn't practice Wednesday.

Swift also tended to a groin injury last week, when he was limited in practice Thursday and Friday, entered the weekend as questionable and then was active this past Sunday against the Saints. He ended up reeling off 138 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD on 20 touches on a 53 percent snap share, so Wednesday's absence may be related to maintenance. Still, Swift's status is one to monitor as the week goes on to ensure he'll be out there again Sunday at Baltimore.

  • Tyler Goodson RB | IND

Colts' Tyler Goodson: Practices in full

Goodson (groin) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Goodson didn't suit up for Indianapolis' win over the Chargers in Week 7, his third consecutive absence, but he now appears back to full health. He'll be available to contribute in a reserve capacity behind workhorse running back Jonathan Taylor versus the Titans on Sunday.

  • Bucky Irving RB | TB

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Won't return Week 8

Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday that Irving (foot) will not suit up for Sunday's road matchup against the Saints, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

Irving won't practice Wednesday or be a candidate to return Week 8, but it would at least be encouraging to see him resume handling limited reps at some point before Tampa Bay's bye in Week 9. Versus New Orleans, Rachaad White will be slated to draw another start, while Sean Tucker will likely handle No. 2 reps. Irving's next opportunity to retake the field will come Sunday, Nov. 9 versus the Patriots in Week 10.

  • Bucky Irving RB | TB

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Remains sidelined at practice

Irving (foot/shoulder) is not participating in the early portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Buccaneers are holding a walkthrough practice Wednesday, but it doesn't appear Irving is yet ready to resume handling on-field reps. He's missed three consecutive games due to lingering foot and shoulder injuries and has been held out of practice throughout that span. If Irving can get back on the field as at least a limited participant ahead of Sunday's road matchup against the Saints he could have a chance at returning to action, but it's worth noting that Tampa Bay will benefit from a Week 9 bye, meaning the team could be motivated to allow the second-year running back to rest further.

  • Ameer Abdullah RB | IND

Colts' Ameer Abdullah: Three touches against Chargers

Abdullah rushed twice for 19 yards and caught his lone target for eight yards in Sunday's 38-24 win over the Chargers.

Abdullah played just five of the Colts' 60 offensive snaps Sunday behind starter Jonathan Taylor (52) and ahead of rookie DJ Giddens (3). The veteran running back offers little fantasy value outside of an injury to Taylor, yet it's unclear if Abdullah's role would drastically increase as a 32-year-old in one of the league's most explosive offenses. With that said, Abdullah remains far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 8 matchup against the Titans.
