Nyheim Miller-Hines RB | NO
Colts' Nyheim Hines: Has five touches Sunday
Hines had three carries for eight yards and two receptions for 22 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss at Cleveland.
Hines played on 21 of the offense's 56 snaps and ran a route on 18 of the offense's 37 pass plays, according to Pro Football Focus. He got more playing time than Jordan Wilkins (just two snaps) with the Colts needing to throw the ball after getting behind. However, the Colts couldn't get much going on the ground and gave the bulk of playing time to Jonathan Taylor (31 snaps) after a more even distribution of snaps last week.

Joshua Kelley RB | TEN
Chargers' Joshua Kelley: Meager showing versus Saints
Kelley rushed 11 times for 29 yards and caught his lone target for nine yards in Monday night's 30-27 overtime loss to the Saints.
Kelley was bottled up against a consistently stout Saints rush defense. In contrast, fellow tailback Justin Jackson rushed 15 times for 71 yards, but 36 of those came on one play. While that evidences the tough sledding on average Monday, Jackson's comparatively hot hand enabled him to get involved more in the passing game as well, as he finished with five catches for 23 yards. As long as usual starter Austin Ekeler (hamstring) is sidelined, the production split between Kelley and Jackson will be worthwhile to monitor. After a decent start to the season, the rookie Kelley has tailed off due to a combination of fumbles and hard matchups lately. While those struggles along with Jackson's performance Monday leave him on the slide, Week 6's matchup against the winless Jets could be just what Kelley needs to get going again.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Nearly 120 total yards
Kamara rushed 11 times for 45 yards and caught eight of his 10 targets for 74 yards in Monday night's 30-27 overtime win against the Chargers.
Kamara posted his second-lowest rushing total while not scoring for the first time through five games this season. The tailback also dropped a couple catchable passes, but Kamara's total of eight receptions nonetheless made for another productive performance through the air. In fact, compared to just two such rushing outings, Kamara has topped 70 receiving yards on three occasions thus far. On the back of almost 120 yards from scrimmage Monday, the dual-threat dynamo now enters New Orleans' Week 6 bye.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: MRI goes well
When asked about the MRI that Cook underwent Monday, coach Mike Zimmer relayed that "it went well. We'll see how he does this week." The running back injured his groin in the third quarter of Sunday's 27-26 loss to the Seahawks.
While that update doesn't provide details, it does imply that Cook's injury isn't major, and that he could have a chance to suit up this weekend against the Falcons. Added context on that front will arrive once the Vikings return to practice, but if Cook is limited or unable to go Week 6, Alexander Mattison would step into an expanded role in the team's backfield.
-
La'Mical Perine RB | PIT
Jets' La'Mical Perine: No offensive role Week 5
Perine returned two kicks for 22 yards during Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Cardinals
The rookie fourth-round pick had 15 carries over the previous three games in the absence of Le'Veon Bell, but he didn't play a single offensive snap Sunday with Bell back from injured reserve. Coach Adam Gase said the Jets want to avoid putting "too much" on Perine and "stunt his growth," so it hardly sound as though the team is looking to give him a larger offensive role. He's unlikely to be much of a factor while Bell and Frank Gore remain healthy.
-
Mike Boone RB | MIA
Vikings' Mike Boone: Steps into backup role
Boone had two carries for 19 yards in Sunday's loss at Seattle.
Boone had his first touches on offense this season after Dalvin Cook left the game with a groin injury. Boone has always been productive when on the field and could get playing time next week as Alexander Mattison's backup if Cook remains sidelined.
-
Jeff Wilson RB | MIA
49ers' Jeff Wilson: Remains in rotation
Wilson was on the field for 23 percent of the offensive snaps Sunday, finishing with four carries for 27 yards in a 43-17 loss to Miami.
Raheem Mostert (knee) returned from injury and commanded most of the backfield playing time and production. It appears that Wilson will still be used in short-yardage situations, but there isn't much fantasy value there when Mostert and Jerick McKinnon are both healthy.
-
Jerick McKinnon RB | KC
49ers' Jerick McKinnon: Just three touches Sunday
McKinnon rushed once for no gain and caught two passes (four targets) for five yards in Sunday's 43-17 loss to Miami.
Raheem Mostert (knee) returned to reclaim his starting job, leaving scraps for McKinnon and the rest of the running back corps in an ugly loss. Jeff Wilson ended up with more carries (four) while playing nearly the same amount of snaps as McKinnon (25 percent), so it appears the latter will serve as the team's third-down back when Mostert is healthy. The 49ers could be playing from behind during a rough stretch of games ahead, so McKinnon could produce in the passing game, but the return of Mostert puts an end to Jet's run of standard-league fantasy value.
-
Anthony McFarland RB | MIA
Steelers' Anthony McFarland: Minimal role in win
McFarland ran three times for six yards in Sunday's 38-29 win over the Eagles.
McFarland recorded his first touches as a pro during the Steelers' last game, but his workload decreased Sunday against the Eagles as he averaged just two yards per carry. The 2020 fourth-rounder was outpaced in the contest by Benny Snell, who recorded seven carries, including one on the goal line. James Conner has been fully healthy in recent weeks as Pittsburgh's lead back; in that context, McFarland's fantasy upside is limited as he continues to split complementary backfield work with Snell.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Eligible to return in Week 6
McCaffrey (ankle) will undergo tests this week to determine if he's healthy enough to be activated from IR for Sunday's matchup against the Bears, Myles Simmons of the Panthers' official site reports.
McCaffrey has spent three weeks on IR, the minimum number required to return to the lineup. Coach Matt Rhule plans to have a better idea of McCaffrey's high ankle sprain by the time practice resumes Wednesday, and a return to practice in any capacity would signal that the superstar running back has a good chance to play Week 6. Mike Davis has been excellent in his place, recording 351 yards from scrimmage and three total touchdowns. He'll continue to start if McCaffrey can't go.
