  • AJ Dillon RB | CAR

Packers' AJ Dillon: No action in Week 3

Dillon did not take the field for an offensive snap in Sunday's 37-30 victory over the Saints.

Dillon had five carries late in a Week 2 blowout after recording two totes in his first game as a pro, but he did not get even one chance to run the ball Sunday with the Packers relying solely on their three veteran backs. He still has some long-term intrigue, but as things stand he's merely extra depth in the Packers backfield.

  • J.J. Taylor RB | HOU

Patriots' J.J. Taylor: Logs 11 carries in Week 3

Taylor was on the field for 15 of a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 36-20 win over the Raiders, logging a team-high 11 carries for 43 yards, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Taylor, who didn't catch his only passing target in the contest, isn't going to lead the team in carries too often, but a run-heavy game plan, coupled with the absence of James White (personal), afforded Taylor an opportunity to see added touches Week 3. Meanwhile, Sony Michel rushed for 117 yards on nine carries, and Rex Burkhead turned his six carries into 49 yards and a pair of rushing scores. With Damien Harris (finger) possibly back this week, Taylor's role this coming Sunday against the Chiefs may not be a big one.

  • 49ers' JaMycal Hasty: Three touches in debut

Hasty rushed twice for nine yards and caught his lone target for nine yards in Sunday's 36-9 win over the Giants.

Hasty was elevated from the practice squad after the 49ers lost both Raheem Mostert (knee) and Tevin Coleman (knee) to injuries Week 2. The undrafted rookie didn't receive enough touches to make a fantasy impact, but he does possess a fantasy-friendly skill set of speed and soft hands. It was clear that Jerick McKinnon (ribs) and Jeff Wilson were the lead backs in the victory, but if the former is forced to miss Sunday's upcoming matchup against the Eagles, then Hasty would be next in line to fill McKinnon's role on offense. The 23-year-old could be a sneaky FLEX option or bargain DFS play if that situation materializes.

  • Packers' Jamaal Williams: Quiet in Week 3

Williams had six carries for 14 yards and one reception for three yards in Sunday's 37-30 victory over the Saints.

Williams averaged 9.5 touches and 52.5 yards from scrimmage over the Packers' first two games, but he finished well below both marks Week 3 with the Saints defense containing the opposing running backs like they usually do. Fellow running back Tyler Ervin saw more snaps than Williams on Sunday, but Ervin does not operate as a traditional running back, and Williams remains the No. 2 man in the backfield behind Aaron Jones.

  • Browns' D'Ernest Johnson: Fills in as returner

Johnson entered Sunday's game as the primary returner after JoJo Natson left in the second quarter due to a knee injury.

Johnson gained zero yards on one punt return in the third quarter. He's played just three percent of the offensive snaps in 2020, so any contributions Johnson can make will likely come on special teams.

  • Saints' Latavius Murray: Posts 65 yards in loss

Murray carried 12 times for 58 yards and caught his only target for seven yards in the Saints' 37-30 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

As expected, Murray played clearly behind Alvin Kamara, though Murray has now logged at least 13 touches in two of the first three weeks of the season. He hasn't found his way to the end zone yet, but if he can continue to see double-digit touches, he can be useful as a deep-league flex.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Finds end zone in victory

Jones rushed 16 times for 69 yards and a touchdown, adding two receptions for 17 yards in Sunday's 37-30 win over the Saints.

Another Aaron stole the show and carried the Packers to a big primetime win, but Jones was still able to turn in a solid fantasy performance with a trip to the end zone. The 25-year-old has been a touchdown machine early in the season, rushing for four and adding a fifth through the air through three contests. Jones has proven that he can stay involved even in contests that turn into shootouts, which next Monday's matchup against the Falcons has the potential of becoming.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Monster receiving performance

Kamara rushed just six times for 58 yards, but corralled 13 receptions (14 targets) for 139 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 37-30 loss to the Packers.

Kamara did his best Michael Thomas (ankle) impression with his teammate forced to sit this one out due to injury. The dynamic back did most of his damage after the catch, including a 52-yard touchdown scamper in which he broke four tackles after receiving the ball near the line of scrimmage. After a down year slowed by injury in 2019, Kamara is looking more like the top-five fantasy player we saw in his first two seasons in the NFL. The 25-year-old became just the second player in NFL history to rush for three touchdowns and catch three touchdown passes through his team's first three games (per ESPN). There is a chance that Thomas returns for Week 4's matchup against the Lions, but if he is forced to sit out, Kamara should be in line to post WR1 numbers again after averaging 11.5 receptions and 117 receiving yards in the two games sans Thomas.

  • Jets' La'Mical Perine: Seven carries in blowout loss

Perine rushed seven times for 24 yards and caught both of his targets for minus-1 yard in Sunday's 36-7 loss to the Colts.

The Jets got blown out for a third consecutive week, but they continued to feed 37-year-old Frank Gore (15 carries for 57 yards) over the rookie Perine. It's tough to trust anyone in an offense that's averaging only 12.3 points per game despite scoring two garbage-time touchdowns in three games, and it looks like coach Adam Gase has no plans to remove Gore from the starting role as long as Le'Veon Bell (hamstring) remains on IR, further capping Perine's appeal.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Struggles in Seattle

Elliott carried the ball 14 times for 34 yards and a touchdown and caught six of 12 targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Seahawks.

While a first-quarter TD salvaged his day from a fantasy perspective, it was overall a poor performance from the Cowboys' lead back. He slipped in the end zone and gave up a safety just before his own score, and he dropped numerous catchable passes from Dak Prescott. Elliott will look to bounce back in Week 4 against a Browns defense that just gave up 5.4 yards a carry and a rushing touchdown to rookie Antonio Gibson.
