Lawrance Toafili RB | NYJ
Lawrance Toafili: Cut by Gang Green
The Jets cut Toafili from the practice squad Tuesday, Susanna Weir of the team's official site reports.
The move makes room on the Jets' practice squad for fellow running back Keilan Robinson. Toafili initially caught on with the Jets' practice squad in early September after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. The undrafted rookie out of Florida State will now look to catch on with a team in need of backfield depth.

Montrell Johnson Jr. RB | ARI
Montrell Johnson: Getting cut from practice squad
Philadelphia cut Johnson from its practice squad Tuesday.
In a corresponding transaction, the Eagles signed offensive lineman Jake Majors to their practice squad. For Johnson's part, he'll now be free to look for another opportunity with a different club.

Keilan Robinson RB | NYJ
Keilan Robinson: Catches on with Jets
The Jets signed Robinson to the practice squad Tuesday, Susanna Weir of the team's official site reports.
Robinson was unable to make the Eagles' 53-man roster at the end of training camp but will get another opportunity with the Jets as a member of the practice squad. The 2024 fifth-rounder appeared in six regular-season games for the Jaguars in his rookie season but was waived by Jacksonville in early June. Robinson is a candidate to be elevated to the active roster for the Jets' Week 2 AFC East clash against the Bills on Sunday if Kene Nwangwu (hamstring) is unable to play.

Trayveon Williams RB | CLE
Trayveon Williams: Cut from Browns' practice squad
The Browns cut Williams from the practice squad Tuesday.
The move makes room on the practice squad for defensive tackle Ralph Holley. Williams initially caught on with the Browns' scout team after failing to make the team's 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but the 2019 sixth-rounder will now look to catch on with an organization in need of backfield depth. He appeared in 17 regular-season games for the Bengals in 2024 and mostly served in a special-teams role.

Cody Schrader RB | DEN
Jaguars' Cody Schrader: Catches on with Jags' active roster
The Jaguars signed Schrader off the Rams' practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.
The move corresponds with the Jaguars trading Tank Bigsby to the Eagles on Monday in exchange for 2026 fifth- and sixth-round draft picks. Schrader signed with the Rams' practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster out of training camp, but he was elevated to the active roster for their Week 1 win over the Texans, when he logged four snaps on special teams without showing up on the box score otherwise. Schrader will likely be limited to a special-teams role in Jacksonville while serving as a depth backfield option behind Travis Etienne, Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen.

Deuce Vaughn RB | DEN
Deuce Vaughn: Signs with Denver's practice squad
The Broncos signed Vaughn to the practice squad Tuesday, Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.com reports.
Vaughn was unable to make the Cowboys' 53-man roster at the end of training camp. The 2023 sixth-rounder will get another opportunity with the Broncos as a member of the scout team, and he would be a top candidate to be elevated to Denver's active roster if the team is in need of backfield depth. Vaughn appeared in seven regular-season games for the Cowboys in 2024 and logged 17 carries for 70 yards and three catches (on five targets) for 18 yards.

Austin Ekeler RB | WAS
Commanders' Austin Ekeler: Labeled limited participant Tuesday
Ekeler (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report.
Ekeler has been gauged as a limited participant on Washington's first two Week 2 reports, but head coach Dan Quinn hasn't suggested that the veteran running back is in jeopardy of sitting out Thursday's game against the Packers. Assuming he's available for the primetime matchup, Ekeler should serve as the Commanders' top back on passing downs while also complementing rookie seventh-round pick Jacory Croskey-Merritt and quarterback Jayden Daniels in the ground attack.

Kyle Monangai RB | CHI
Bears' Kyle Monangai: Light role behind Swift in opener
Monangai played nine of the Bears' 67 snaps on offense and hauled in his lone target for an 11-yard reception in Monday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
With Roschon Johnson (foot) inactive for Week 1, Monangai began his NFL career as the No. 2 back behind D'Andre Swift, but the rookie seventh-round pick predictably saw limited usage. Though his reception went for a first down and lead to an eventual touchdown, Monangai might have undone any goodwill by committing a drive-killing offensive holding penalty in the second quarter. He didn't have a role on special teams in the opener, so he could be at risk of finding himself on the inactive list when Johnson gets healthy and special-teams standout Travis Homer (calf) returns from the PUP list.

Rasheen Ali RB | BAL
Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Solid as kick returner in Week 1
Ali was Baltimore's primary kick returner Sunday against the Bills, racking up 167 yards on six opportunities. He added one carry for five yards.
Baltimore gave Ali the nod over Keaton Mitchell as the third active running back. Ali saw only one snap on offense, but he did impress on special teams, as he routinely set Baltimore up in good field position. With Derrick Henry and Justice Hill both healthy, it's difficult to project much work for a No.3 running back in Baltimore. It will be worth monitoring whether Baltimore gives Ali another go in Week 2 against Cleveland, or sees what it has with Mitchell in the kick returner/depth running back role.

Zamir White RB | LV
Raiders' Zamir White: No. 2 RB behind Jeanty
White rushed three times for eight yards and returned one kickoff for 31 yards in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Patriots.
White assumed the RB2 role behind rookie Ashton Jeanty when the Raiders surprisingly made 33-year-old veteran Raheem Mostert a healthy inactive Sunday, but the depth chart shift resulted in just nine offensive snaps and three touches for White. Meanwhile, Jeanty handled 19 carries and caught a pair of passes in his NFL debut. Until the team's plan for Mostert becomes clearer, White figures to remain Jeanty's primary backup when Las Vegas hosts the Chargers on Monday Night Football in Week 2.
