Jaret Patterson RB | LAC
Chargers' Jaret Patterson: Signed to active roster
The Chargers signed Patterson to the active roster from the practice squad Tuesday.
Patterson has bounced between the Chargers' practice squad and active roster all season. The running back has played in four games, totalling 129 rush yards and a rushing touchdown on 32 attempts. With Kimani Vidal (neck) questionable, Patterson could see carries in Sunday's game against the Texans as a rotational back behind the starter Omarion Hampton.

Woody Marks RB | HOU
Texans' Woody Marks: Participating in practice Tuesday
Marks (ankle) was spotted participating in Tuesday's practice, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Marks' participation level remains unclear, but the Texans will be required to release an official injury report Tuesday since they travel to play the Chargers on Saturday. Marks was injured in the Texans' Week 15 win over the Colts and was inactive for this past Sunday's win over the Raiders. In his absence, Jawhar Jordan out-snapped Nick Chubb 30 to 21, with Jordan rushing 15 times for 53 yards and adding five catches for 17 yards on five targets. Jordan would likely be in line to lead the backfield if Marks doesn't return in Week 17.

Quinshon Judkins RB | CLE
Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Undergoes successful surgery
The Browns announced that Judkins was placed on injured reserve after he underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair a dislocated right ankle and fractured right fibula.
Judkins is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2026 season and should be ready to resume football activities in 4-to-6 months. The rookie running back suffered the season-ending injury during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Bills. With Judkins out for the final two contests of the 2025 campaign, Cleveland is expected to roll with some combination of Dylan Sampson (hand/calf), Raheim Sanders and Trayveon Williams out of the backfield in Weeks 17 and 18. Judkins finished the season with 230 carries for 827 yards (3.6 average) and seven touchdowns to go with 26 catches for 171 yards on 36 targets over 14 games.

Brian Robinson Jr. RB | SF
49ers' Brian Robinson: Gains 20 yards Monday
Robinson rushed five times for 20 yards while failing to catch his only target in Monday's 48-27 win over Indianapolis.
Robinson was limited to five carries -- his lowest total since Week 9 -- behind another dominant showing from starter Christian McCaffrey (146 yards and two TDs). The 26-year-old Robinson has been held under 30 rushing yards in all three games since the 49ers' Week 14 bye. With a healthy McCaffrey dominating San Francisco's backfield touches, there simply hasn't enough work left for Robinson to carve out a significant fantasy role ahead of a clash with the Bears on Sunday.

TreVeyon Henderson RB | NE
Patriots' TreVeyon Henderson: Lands in concussion protocol
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed Tuesday that Henderson is in concussion protocol, Ben Volin of The Boston Globe reports.
Henderson missed the entire second half of Sunday's 28-24 win over the Ravens due to what the Patriots had been classifying as a head injury, which stemmed from a hard fall to the turf. With Vrabel now confirming that Henderson has sustained a concussion, the rookie running back will have limited time to clear the five-step protocol in advance of this Sunday's game at the Jets. If Henderson can't play in Week 17, Rhamondre Stevenson would likely move back into a lead role out of the New England backfield.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Four offensive snaps in loss
Mostert rushed once for six yards and caught his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Texans. He also returned two kickoffs for 53 yards.
Mostert's only carry of the contest didn't come until the start of the fourth quarter, and workhorse running back Ashton Jeanty hogged the offensive spotlight with 25 total touches for 188 yards and two scores. A similarly one-sided backfield split can be expected against the Giants in Week 17.

Quinshon Judkins RB | CLE
Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Surgery on tap
Judkins will undergo surgery Tuesday in Cleveland to repair a dislocated right ankle and fractured fibula, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Judkins will face a 4-to-5-month recovery timeline following surgery, putting him on track to be available for the start of training camp in late July. In his absence over the final two games of the season, Cleveland will rely on a committee of running backs that includes Dylan Sampson (hand/calf), Raheim Sanders and Trayveon Williams. Judkins wrapped up his rookie campaign with 230 carries for 827 yards (3.6 average) and seven touchdowns to go with 26 catches for 171 yards on 36 targets over 14 games.

Dylan Sampson RB | CLE
Browns' Dylan Sampson: Improving daily
Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Sampson (hand/calf) is improving by the day, Noah Monroe of the Browns' official site reports.
Sampson sat out the Browns' Week 16 loss to the Bills, but the team has optimism the rookie running back will be back in action this Sunday against the Steelers. With Quinshon Judkins (ankle/fibula) out of action for the remainder of the season, the Browns hope to have a full complement of backs available that includes Sampson, Raheim Sanders and Trayveon Williams. If all are healthy for Week 17, Sampson would likely be in line to serve as the team's lead back.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
49ers' Christian McCaffrey: Outplays Jonathan Taylor on MNF
McCaffrey handled 21 carries for 117 yards and caught six of eight targets for 29 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Monday's 48-27 win over Indianapolis.
McCaffrey and the Colts' Jonathan Taylor headlined a matchup featuring two of the league's top running backs on Monday Night Football. McCaffrey got the better of Taylor (16-46-1) despite facing the stiffer of the two defenses, doubling the latter's yards from scrimmage and scoring output in a winning effort. McCaffrey pushed his rushing total over the 1,000-yard mark for the season while sitting 151 yards shy of doing the same as a receiver with two games left in the regular season. With the 49ers having a potential path to the No. 1 seed in the NFC, fantasy managers can expect the team to lean heavily on McCaffrey against the Bears in Week 17, especially if star TE George Kittle (ankle) is unable to suit up.

Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Stymied in Week 16 home loss
Taylor rushed 16 times for 46 yards and a touchdown and brought in all three targets for 33 yards in the Colts' 48-27 loss to the 49ers on Monday night.
Taylor salvaged his fantasy night with a one-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter, which narrowed a 34-20 deficit. The star back otherwise was stonewalled on the ground for the majority of the night, although he made some solid contributions as a receiver. Taylor's rushing yardage total was his second lowest of the season, while his average of 2.9 yards per carry was a new low-water mark. He hasn't eclipsed the 100-yard mark on the ground since his memorable 244-yard performance against the Falcons in Berlin in Week 10, and he'll draw another tough matchup at home against the Jaguars in a Week 17 divisional clash Sunday.
