  • Saints' Jamaal Williams: Grabs one pass in return

Williams had zero carries and hauled in his only target for seven yards during Sunday's 21-14 defeat to the Rams.

Williams reprised his role as the Saints' RB2 after missing the previous three games with a groin issue. But, that still didn't mean he would factor into their gameplan, as Alvin Kamara once again carried the load out of the backfield while playing 86 percent of offensive snaps. Do-it-all tight end Taysom Hill also featured into his usual role in the rushing game before suffering a season-ending torn ACL in the fourth quarter. With no other player capable of filling Hill's unique role in the offense, New Orleans will likely have to make up for his absence by leaning on its other tight ends and rushers. This could lead to more opportunities as a short-yardage power back for the 224-pound Williams. It will be worth monitoring how he is deployed behind Kamara during this coming Sunday's road game against the Giants.

  • Will Shipley RB | PHI

Eagles' Will Shipley: One carry on lone offensive snap

Shipley rushed once for four yards in Sunday's win over the Ravens.

The Eagles got Shipley involved on the third play of the game, giving him the ball on a swing pass. That was the first time he'd seen the field for an offensive snap since Week 10 and his only involvement from scrimmage, as he was limited to special teams the rest of the way.

  • Eagles' Kenneth Gainwell: Zero touches in Week 13

Gainwell finished Sunday's 24-19 win over the Ravens with zero rushes and zero receptions.

Gainwell's role has been small all season while stuck behind Saquon Barkley, but this was the first time since Week 15 of his rookie season (2021) that Gainwell went an entire game without touching the ball on offense. While Gainwell only saw the field for seven offensive snaps on Sunday, the fact third-string running back Will Shipley logged a sole play from scrimmage himself seems to corroborate there's no indication of a depth-chart shakeup.

  • Sean Tucker RB | TB

Buccaneers' Sean Tucker: Limited to kickoff returns in win

Tucker returned two kickoffs for 44 yards in the Buccaneers' 26-23 overtime win over the Panthers on Sunday.

With Bucky Irving (hip) logging a career-high 25 carries and Rachaad White tacking on another 11, there was no room for Tucker in the ground game for only the second time since Week 5. In fact, Tucker didn't log any snaps on offense, with all 15 of his plays coming on special teams. Considering Irving has proven amply capable of handling a true workhorse role with efficacy and the fact White is always in line for his share of carries, Tucker doesn't have any tangible fantasy prospects heading into a Week 14 home matchup against the Raiders.

  • John Kelly RB | CLE

John Kelly: Gets chance with Chargers

The Chargers signed Kelly to their practice squad Monday.

Kelly played in two games with Baltimore to begin the season, logging snaps only on special teams. He hasn't had an NFL snap since he rushed twice for 13 yards in 2021 with Cleveland. Kelly will serve as organizational depth at running back for Los Angeles with J.K. Dobbins (knee) on injured reserve, but the former may need one of Gus Edwards, Kimani Vidal or Hassan Haskins to miss time in order to be elevated for game day.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Won't play in Week 13

Foreman (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday night's matchup against the Broncos.

Foreman has now been a healthy scratch in each of the Browns' last four games, with his most recent appearance coming in a Week 8 win over the Ravens. Without Foreman on Monday night, Cleveland's running back room will consist of Nick Chubb, Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Dealing with calf injury

Jacobs was a limited participant at Monday's practice due to a calf injury.

Jacobs has strung together five consecutive games with at least 100 yards from scrimmage, a stretch in which he's accumulated 112 touches for 590 total yards and seven rushing touchdowns. As the Packers gear up for Thursday's contest at Detroit, he's tending to a health concern, so his status will be one to monitor as the week goes on.

  • Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Scores in close win

Charbonnet rushed four times for 28 yards and a touchdown and caught two of three targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 26-21 win over the Jets.

Charbonnet scored the Seahawks' game-winning touchdown with an eight-yard rush in the fourth quarter, his second touch within the 10-yard line Sunday. The 2023 second-round pick has yet to post more than 30 rushing yards in a game since Week 3 when Kenneth Walker was inactive, so Charbonnet's floor is highly concerning as long as Walker is upright.

  • 49ers' Isaac Guerendo: Lead role awaits

Guerendo is expected to take over as the 49ers' lead back for the remainder of the regular season after head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that both Christian McCaffrey (knee) and Jordan Mason (ankle) are on track to be placed on injured reserve this week, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Shanahan noted that McCaffrey is facing a six-week recovery for the PCL sprain he sustained in Sunday's loss to the Bills, while Mason is dealing with a high-ankle sprain that will keep him out through Week 17, and quite likely, the Jan. 5 regular-season finale in Arizona. The injuries vault Guerendo to the top of the depth chart as the lone healthy back on the 53-man roster, though the 49ers are expected to elevate Patrick Taylor from their practice squad and add another running back to provide further depth ahead of this Sunday's game against the Bears. A rookie fourth-round pick out of Louisville, Guerero has seen limited action this season but has averaged a strong 5.9 yards per carry while scoring two touchdowns on his 42 totes and adding five catches for 19 yards on six targets. Guerendo is a size/speed specimen at six-foot and 221 pounds who recorded a 4.33-second 40-yard dash time at the NFL Scouting Combine. With a three-down role likely in the offing for the final five weeks of the season, Guerendo will be the top waiver-wire priority in fantasy leagues where he's available.

  • Kene Nwangwu RB | NYJ

Jets' Kene Nwangwu: Signs to active roster

The Jets signed Nwangwu to their active roster Monday.

The fourth-year pro from Iowa State made his Jets debut in a Week 13 loss to the Seahawks, returning three kickoffs for 157 yards, including a 99-yard touchdown. Nwangwu's performance Sunday was enough to land him a spot on the Jets' active roster, likely serving as the team's top kick returner and a depth piece in their running back room for the remainder of the season. In a corresponding move, the Jets waived 2023 fifth-round pick Israel Abanikanda.
