Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Buccaneers' Chase Edmonds: Could play Sunday
Edmonds (toe) returned to practice Friday and will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Detroit, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Edmonds didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday despite handling his normal role in Monday's 32-9 win over the Eagles. He typically plays about one-fourth of Tampa Bay's snaps on offense, and he got 5-to-10 touches in each of the past four games (including eight for 20 yards from scrimmage in the wild-card win over Philadelphia). The Bucs' other backfield options behind starter Rachaad White are rookie Sean Tucker and practice-squad member Patrick Laird.

Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Eagles' Rashaad Penny: Non-factor for new team
Penny finished the season with 11 carries for 33 yards in three regular-season games, adding one catch for five yards.
Penny entered the season with a fair amount of hype, as he had a potentially large share of the carries for a productive offense available to him if he could finally stay healthy. Injuries were in fact not a problem for Penny this season, but rather than competing for the No. 1 job, he spent the year as the Eagles' fourth running back and was a healthy scratch in all but three games.

Lew Nichols RB | PIT
Eagles' Lew Nichols: Sticking around Philly
Nichols signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Nichols joined the team's practice squad in October after being let go by the Packers before the season, but he failed to appear in any contests. He'll now look to impress Philadelphia this offseason in order to potentially crack the team's active roster in 2024.

Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Buccaneers' Chase Edmonds: No activity Thursday
Edmonds (toe) didn't participate at Thursday's walkthrough.
Edmonds now was missed back-to-back walkthroughs due to a toe injury, placing a cloud over his potential to play in Sunday's divisional-round game in Detroit. Ultimately, the Buccaneers may make a ruling on his availability upon posting their final practice report of the week Friday.

Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Ready for divisional round
Jones (knee/finger) doesn't have an injury designation for Saturday's divisional-round game in San Francisco, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
For a sixth week in a row, the Packers are managing Jones' practice reps due to the MCL sprain that sidelined him Weeks 12-14. In five appearances in the meantime, he's racked up 606 yards from scrimmage and three rushing TDs on 109 touches, which includes four straight games surpassing the century mark on the ground. Green Bay is listing fellow running back AJ Dillon (thumb/neck) as questionable for Saturday's contest, but even if he puts an end to a two-game absence, he likely won't cut into Jones' workload too much considering how the latter has been playing of late.

AJ Dillon RB | CAR
Packers' AJ Dillon: Status in question for Saturday
Coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that Dillon (thumb/neck) will be questionable for Saturday's divisional-round game at San Francisco, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Dillon logged his first notable on-field work Thursday since sustaining a neck stinger Week 17 at Minnesota. At the very least, he took part in the team stretch and had his helmet on prior to drills, per Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site. Dillon thus has a chance to reclaim his standing as the team's No. 2 running back behind Aaron Jones (knee/finger) this weekend, something that'll be confirmed, one way or another, about 90 minutes for Saturday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Ravens' Dalvin Cook: Signed to 53-man roster
The Ravens officially signed Cook to their 53-man roster Thursday.
Cook is thus slated to make his debut with the Ravens in Saturday's divisional-round game against the Texans. It remains to be seen what sort of role he'll see initially with Gus Edwards and Justice Hill also in the team's backfield mix, but according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, coach John Harbaugh noted last week that he viewed Cook as a "potentially very valuable weapon" heading into Baltimore's postseason run.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Ravens' Dalvin Cook: To suit up vs. Texans
The Ravens are in line to promote Cook from the practice squad Thursday, positioning him to suit up for Saturday's divisional playoff matchup against Houston, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Baltimore should officially announce Cook's addition to the 53-man roster shortly. The transaction comes following the team's decision to waive Melvin Gordon on Wednesday, meaning Cook is primed to suit up alongside Gus Edwards and Justice Hill in the Ravens backfield during Saturday's divisional round matchup. Cook struggled across 15 regular-season appearances with the Jets, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry without a single touchdown, but it's possible a chance of scenery could revitalize him for the postseason.

Boston Scott RB | PIT
Eagles' Boston Scott: Role shrinks in sixth season
Scott didn't play a very important role for the Eagles this season, finishing with 20 carries for 86 yards and adding four catches for 52 yards through the air over 15 regular-season games.
Scott hasn't been a major part of the Eagles' offense at any point in his six-year career, but he'd managed to run for at least 217 yards in each of the previous four years, so his latest numbers represent a big step back. He also failed to reach the end zone for the first time since his two-game debut back in 2018. It's hard to envision the Eagles suddenly deciding to feature him more often next season.

Snoop Conner RB | DAL
Cowboys' Snoop Conner: Latches on with Dallas
The Cowboys signed Conner to a reserve/future contract Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
A fifth-round pick by the Jaguars in 2022, Conner rushed for 12-42-1 across eight games as a rookie but failed to make Jacksonville's 53-man roster out of training camp and spent all of 2023 on the team's practice squad. He's getting a change of scenery with the Cowboys and a chance to impress a new coaching staff.
