  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Lions' T.J. Hockenson: Dealing with knee concern

Hockenson didn't practice Wednesday due to a knee issue.

Hockenson previously dealt with hip and foot injuries this season, but he's been able to suit up in all six of the Lions' games, earning between 76 and 91 percent of the offensive snaps on each occasion. With a new health concern in tow, his status should be watched closely as the week rolls along to ensure he'll be available this Sunday against the Dolphins. If active this weekend, Hockenson will be joined by top running back D'Andre Swift (ankle/shoulder) for the first time since Week 3 and likely wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (concussion), who were full and limited participants, respectively, at Wednesday's session.

  • Pat Freiermuth TE | PIT

Steelers' Pat Freiermuth: Limited by ankle Wednesday

Freiermuth was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Freiermuth, who missed his team's Week 6 win over the Buccaneers due to a concussion, returned to action in this past Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, logging 44 of a possible 75 snaps on offense en route to catching eight of his nine targets for 75 yards. Now that he's on the injury report with an ankle issue, the tight end's status is worth monitoring in the coming days, but so far there's nothing to suggest that Freiermuth's availability for Sunday's game against the Eagles is in danger.

  • Mark Andrews TE | BAL

Ravens' Mark Andrews: Questionable for Thursday

Andrews (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game in Tampa Bay, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Andrews played through the same injury and handled his full allotment of snaps (87 percent) in Sunday's win over the Browns, but he finished the game without a catch and then was held out of practice Monday through Wednesday. He thus appears truly questionable for the Week 8 game, while wideout Rashod Bateman (foot) looks to be in better shape after the Ravens listed him as a full practice participant Wednesday.

  • Tyree Jackson TE | WAS

Eagles' Tyree Jackson: Designated to return from PUP list

Philadelphia designated Jackson (knee) to return from the physically unable to perform list Wednesday.

Jackson tore his ACL during the Eagles' regular-season finale last season and underwent surgery in January. He missed the first seven games of the 2022 campaign while on the PUP list but will return to practice Wednesday. With the move, Jackson will now have a 21-day window to be added to the Eagles' active roster, but if he isn't, the undrafted tight end out of Buffalo will revert back to the PUP list for the remainder of the season.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Raiders' Darren Waller: Back at practice

Waller (hamstring) will return to practice Wednesday, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Waller likely will be a limited participant after not practicing at all last week and missing a 38-20 win over Houston. His availability at the beginning of the week hints at a return for Sunday's game in New Orleans, though he'll still need to make it through practice without suffering a setback.

  • Cole Turner TE | MIA

Commanders' Cole Turner: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Turner (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

Turner suffered a concussion during the Commanders' Week 7 win over the Packers, so it's not surprising to see him sidelined for Wednesday's practice. He'll have two more days to clear protocols before Washington needs to make a decision on the tight end's status for Week 8, but Turner doesn't appear to be trending in the right direction.

  • Logan Thomas TE | SF

Commanders' Logan Thomas: Returns to limited practice

Thomas (calf) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

The activity marks a step forward for Thomas after he missed each of the last three games and didn't practice in advance of any of those contests. The Commanders have used John Bates, Cole Turner (concussion) and Armani Rogers at tight end in Thomas' absence, with all besides Rogers having injury issues of their own in recent weeks.

  • Eric Tomlinson TE | LAC

Broncos' Eric Tomlinson: Minimal involvement in loss

Tomlinson caught both of his targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Jets.

Tomlinson operated as the Broncos' No. 2 tight end in the contest, playing 35 of the team's offensive snaps while starter Greg Dulcich played 47 snaps. The 30-year-old's two targets, two catches and 21 yards were all season highs for the veteran. Though the Broncos tight end room is a bit crowded, it appears the only player with real fantasy value going forward is Dulcich. The rookie played the most snaps at the position Sunday and saw nine targets in the game. With that said, Tomlinson should remain far off the fantasy radar when the Broncos square off against the Jaguars in Week 8.

  • Ko Kieft TE | TB

Buccaneers' Ko Kieft: Upgrades to limited activity

Kieft (ankle) was limited at Tuesday's walkthrough, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.

After sitting out Monday, Kieft was back on the field in some capacity one day later and has one more opportunity to get back to full activity before the Buccaneers potentially gives him a designation for Thursday's contest versus Baltimore. Cameron Brate hasn't practiced since injuring his neck during the Week 6 game against Pittsburgh, so it looks as if Keift will once again operate as Tampa's No. 2 tight end behind Cade Otton should Brate eventually be ruled out for Thursday's matchup versus the Ravens.

  • Mark Andrews TE | BAL

Ravens' Mark Andrews: Still not practicing

Andrews (knee) was a non-participant at Tuesday's practice.

Last week, Andrews followed up back-to-back absences with a limited showing Friday, so he may be going through a similar regimen this time around to keep his knee as fresh as possible for game day. While he played 87 percent of the offensive snaps this past Sunday versus the Browns, he didn't haul in either of his two targets, with his only production coming on a four-yard carry. Wednesday's injury report will provide some clarity on Andrews' status for Thursday's contest at Tampa Bay.
