Dominique Dafney TE | CAR
Dominique Dafney: Let go Monday
Dafney was cut from the Broncos' practice squad Monday, Aric DiLalla reports.
Dafney joined the team's practice squad Sept. 13 after being let go by the Packers during training camp. The 25-year-old will now work to earn an opportunity elsewhere.

Logan Thomas TE | SF
Commanders' Logan Thomas: Limited on practice estimate
Thomas (calf) was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
The Commanders just played Sunday, so the team held a light walkthrough Monday. What Thomas -- who was inactive Week 5 -- is able to do during Tuesday's practice should provide added context with regard to his chances of returning to action Thursday night against the Bears.

Miller Forristall TE | LAR
Miller Forristall: Let go Monday
Forristall was waived by the Brows on Monday.
Forristall played in one contest for the Browns this season, which was in Week 4 against Atlanta. He played nine snaps on offense, but he failed to earn any targets. With the recent addition of Pharaoh Brown to the team's tight-end corps, Forristall became expendable. However, he'll now work to earn an opportunity elsewhere.

Jelani Woods TE | NYJ
Colts' Jelani Woods: No receptions in win
Woods did not have a reception and just one target in Thursday's win over Denver.
Woods had two touchdown receptions in a Week 3 win over Kansas City, but he's had one target each of the last two games. He played on 29 percent of the offense's snaps Thursday and ran 14 routes (compared to 23 for Kylen Granson and 21 for Mo Alie-Cox), so at least he hasn't totally disappeared from the passing game.

Mike Gesicki TE | CIN
Dolphins' Mike Gesicki: Held to one catch
Gesicki secured one of two targets for 30 yards during Sunday's 40-17 loss to the Jets.
Gesicki was working with Skylar Thompson under center for most of Sunday's divisional loss, but when the Dolphins deployed a trick play utilizing the tight end position at the goal line, it was Durham Smythe (hamstring) who scored. Even if one of Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) or Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) are able to retake the field Week 6 against the Vikings, Gesicki's usage makes him difficult to trust for fantasy purposes. He has just one game this season with more than two catches.
-
Charlie Woerner TE | ATL
49ers' Charlie Woerner: No targets in Week 5
Woerner went without a target across 21 offensive snaps in Sunday's 37-15 win over the Panthers.
Any window of opportunity Woerner had to carve out a meaningful role in the 49ers' passing attack closed when top tight end George Kittle returned to action Week 3 following a two-game absence to begin the season. Even in the two games Kittle missed, Woerner went without a target. The 49ers continue to essentially view the 6-foot-5, 241-pound Woerner as an extra lineman; he's ran just 10 routes on 98 snaps on offense this season.
-
Giovanni Ricci TE | DET
Panthers' Giovanni Ricci: Serves as safety valve underneath
Ricci hauled in all three of his targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the 49ers.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound fullback played 20 of the Panthers' 69 snaps in the win and set a new single-game career high in receptions, but Ricci is unlikely to see an expanded role in the Carolina passing attack as a result. The 25-year-old will continue to serve as a little more than a dump-off target underneath when the quarterback is facing pressure, or if the team's key pass catchers are well covered.
-
Tre' McKitty TE | HOU
Chargers' Tre' McKitty: Can't corral either target Week 5
McKitty played 35 of the Chargers' 69 offensive snaps and failed to haul in either of his two targets in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Browns.
Even though Donald Parham (hamstring) suited up for the first time all season, McKitty maintained his standing as the No. 2 tight end behind Gerald Everett. McKitty managed to clear 50 percent of the offensive snaps for the fourth time in five games, but he continued to function mostly as a blocker during his time on the field. The 6-foot-4, 246-pound McKitty is unlikely to see an expanded role in the passing attack unless Everett misses time.
-
Reggie Gilliam RB | NE
Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Goes without target in Week 5
Gilliam played seven of the Bills' 56 snaps on offense and didn't log a carry or target in Sunday's 38-3 win over the Steelers.
After drawing six targets between Weeks 2 and 3, Gilliam has now gone without a target in two straight games while playing only 14 snaps in total. The fullback's usage on offense is likely to wax and wane depending on how many short-yardage situations the Bills find themselves in during a given game.
-
Tommy Sweeney TE | CHI
Bills' Tommy Sweeney: Sees season-high 23 snaps
Sweeney went without a target while he was on the field for 23 of the Bills' 56 offensive snaps in Sunday's 38-3 win over the Steelers.
Active for just the second time all season while top tight end Dawson Knox (foot) was sidelined, Sweeney served as the Bills' No. 2 option at the position while Quintin Morris drew the start. Morris (three receptions for 39 yards on five targets) proved to be a capable replacement for Knox as a pass catcher and should continue to see the lion's share of the snaps at tight end if Knox should miss further time.
