Quintin Morris TE | JAC
Bills' Quintin Morris: Playing time opens up
Morris' teammate Dawson Knox will miss Sunday's game against the Steelers due to a foot injury.
With the starter out of action, this leaves Morris and Tommy Sweeney to handle the majority of the tight-end duties for the Bills in Week 5. Morris saw 24 percent of the offensive snaps in Week 4, while Sweeney hasn't played since Week 1, so it'll be interesting to see if the former gets a few extra looks in the passing game against the Steelers. Morris has been active for three games this season with a collective 3-28-0 line on four targets.

Kyle Pitts TE | ATL
Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Shouldn't miss too much time
Coach Arthur Smith doesn't expect Pitts' hamstring injury to be a long-term problem, though the tight end won't play this Sunday in Tampa Bay, ESPN.com's Michael Rothstein reports.
The Falcons seem to be optimistic Pitts will miss only a game or two, but it's hard to know for sure after he was held out of practice all week and then ruled out for Sunday's contest. Parker Hesse and Anthony Firkser figure to get most of the TE snaps for an Atlanta offense that already was running low on skill-position talent after RB Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) landed on injured reserve. Pitts' next chance to play is Sunday, Oct. 16 against the 49ers, the second of three straight matchups in which Atlanta faces a 2021 playoff team with a strong defense.

Ross Dwelley TE | CAR
49ers' Ross Dwelley: Back in full Friday
Dwelley (ribs) practiced in full Friday, Lindsey Pallares of the team's official site reports.
Dwelley sat out practice last week with a ribs injury, but he ultimately played through the issue in Monday's 24-9 win over the Rams. Although the 235-pounder failed to practice again Thursday, his ability to participate in full Friday indicates he's no longer in danger of missing Sunday's contest against the Panthers. With George Kittle reclaiming the No. 1 tight end spot for San Francisco, Dwelley has seen a combined nine offensive snaps over the 49ers' last two games.

Darren Waller TE | MIA
Raiders' Darren Waller: Listed as full practice participant
Waller (shoulder) was listed as a full participant in Friday's walkthrough practice, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
After logging a limited session Thursday, Waller's full listing Friday puts him on track to head the Raiders' tight end corps Monday night against Kansas City. Four games into the 2022 season, Waller has maintained only modest fantasy utility by averaging four catches, six targets and 43.8 receiving yards per contest to go along with one TD.

Harrison Bryant TE | SEA
Browns' Harrison Bryant: Practices fully Friday
Bryant (illness) was a full participant in Friday's practice session and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Bryant was unable to practice Wednesday due to his illness, and he was limited Thursday. However, he won't be forced to miss any game action after logging a full practice session to close out the week. The 2020 fourth-rounder has secured nine of 14 targets for 81 yards to begin the season.

Jonnu Smith TE | PIT
Patriots' Jonnu Smith: Doubtful for Week 5
Smith (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Lions after being limited at practice Thursday and Friday.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network previously described Smith, who is dealing with a low-ankle sprain, as week-to-week, and the tight end's doubtful listing suggests that he'll be unavailable this weekend. If that's the case, Hunter Henry would be in line for added work Week 5, likely on the receiving end of Bailey Zappe throws, with top QB Mac Jones (ankle) doubtful versus Detroit.
-
Gerald Everett TE | CHI
Chargers' Gerald Everett: Ready for Week 5 action
Everett (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's contest in Cleveland.
Everett made a midweek appearance on the injury report Thursday as limited due to a hamstring issue, but he ended the week with a full session, clearing him for Sunday. He'll be welcoming back fellow tight end Donald Parham (hamstring) to the lineup for the first time this season, so Everett's snap share could take a hit. Still, the Chargers will be without wide receiver Keenan Allen (hamstring) for a fourth consecutive outing, meaning Everett may approach the 6.5 targets that he's averaged per game so far.
-
Jake Ferguson TE | DAL
Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Listed as questionable for Sunday
Ferguson (knee) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Rams, Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Ferguson logged back-to-back limited sessions after not practicing Wednesday due to a knee injury. If he's unable to suit up, Peyton Hendershot would operate as the primary backup to Dalton Schultz, who returned to action in Week 4 after sitting out the previous contest due to an MCL sprain.
-
T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN
Lions' T.J. Hockenson: Good to go
Hockenson (hip) has no injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Foot and hip injuries have limited his practice participation, but Hockenson has played more than three-quarters of available snaps each week this year, and he broke out in a big way Week 4 with eight catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-45 win over Seattle. That was with both DJ Chark (ankle) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) out of the lineup, and while Chark is ruled out for at least one more game, St. Brown is listed as questionable ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday.

Brevin Jordan TE | HOU
Texans' Brevin Jordan: Remains out this week
Jordan (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
With Jordan out again, look for O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins (a likely practice squad elevation) to lead the Texans' tight end corps against Jacksonville. That's an arrangement that led to Howard catching two of his five targets for 27 yards and Akins catching both of his targets for 33 yards in last weekend's 34-24 loss to the Chargers.
