  • Quintin Morris TE | JAC

Bills' Quintin Morris: Available for Week 2

Morris (hamstring) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Morris missed last Thursday's season opener against the Rams with an apparent hamstring injury, but his return to practice as a full participant Thursday indicates he's moved on from the issue. Expect the 23-year-old to operate as the Bills' No. 3 tight end behind starter Dawson Knox and Tommy Sweeney while the team prepares for a Monday night matchup with the Titans.

  • C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI

Jets' C.J. Uzomah: Logs limited practice

Uzomah (hamstring) was limited at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Uzomah practiced fully Wednesday, so it's possible that he was injured during Thursday's session. Friday's injury report will reveal what level of concern there is for the tight end's availability for Sunday's game against the Browns. That said, it appears as though Uzomah -- who logged zero targets on 23 snaps in Week 1 -- currently is behind fellow TE Tyler Conklin (77 snaps, seven targets) in terms of fantasy lineup utility.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Remains spectator for practice

Kittle (groin) isn't participating in practice Thursday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Since the 49ers began preparing for the start of the regular season last week, Kittle has yet to log any practice reps due to a groin issue, which he picked up during an unofficial session Sept. 5. Though the 28-year-old tight end has suited up in the past while having limited or no practice time beforehand, the 49ers will likely want to see him get on the field in some capacity Friday to feel good about his chances of playing Sunday versus the Seahawks. Tyler Kroft led the 49ers' tight ends in snap share (55 percent) in the Week 1 loss to the Bears and would likely be in line for the start Week 2 if Kittle can't go, though Kroft wouldn't make for an appealing fantasy option in what would likely be a run-heavy San Francisco offense.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Cardinals' Zach Ertz: No practice Wednesday

Ertz (calf) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

The Cardinals continue to exercise caution with Ertz, who has been tending to a calf issue since Aug. 4. He was able to suit up Week 1 against the Chiefs, playing 39 of 65 (60 percent) of Arizona's offensive snaps en route to two catches (on four targets) for 14 yards and one touchdown. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury told Weinfuss earlier Wednesday that he believes Ertz will be able to practice in full Thursday, which would mark his first uncapped session of the campaign. In any case, Ertz appears as if his status for Week 2 in Las Vegas isn't in question, something the team may confirm as soon as the release of Friday's injury report.

  • Brevin Jordan TE | HOU

Texans' Brevin Jordan: Limited by ankle issue

Jordan was limited at Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Jordan is nursing the injury after playing 42 of the Texans' 70 offensive snaps and logging one reception for five yards on two targets in Houston's season-opening tie with Indianapolis. Meanwhile, fellow tight end O.J. Howard (12 snaps) caught both of his targets for 38 yards and two scores, while Pharaoh Brown (46 snaps) caught his only target for 17 yards. As long as he's able to suit up Sunday against the Broncos, Jordan could draw more targets this weekend, but continued involvement on the part of Brown and Howard could limit his fantasy ceiling.

  • Devin Asiasi TE | TEN

Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Logs limited practice

Asiasi (quadriceps) was limited in practice Wednesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Asiasi continues to nurse a quadriceps injury that is believed to have occurred while he was still with the Patriots. The third-year pro was claimed off waivers from New England on Aug. 31 and has been mostly out or limited since, including Week 1. Asiasi is considered questionable for Sunday's Week 2 matchup against the Cowboys.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: No practice Wednesday

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Kittle (groin) won't take part in practice Wednesday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Kittle has yet to step on the practice field since injuring his groin during an unofficial session Sept. 5. Shanahan told Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area on Monday that he was hopeful the 49ers' top tight end would be able to mix into drills Wednesday, but that won't come to pass. Kittle has two more chances to practice this week, but his lack of activity Wednesday isn't a great sign as the team prepares for Sunday's matchup with the Seahawks.

  • Cole Turner TE | MIA

Commanders' Cole Turner: Full participant Wednesday

Turner (hamstring) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's practice report, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

This is certainly an encouraging development development for the rookie, who coach Ron Rivera said Monday had "a chance" of playing in Week 2. Turner missed the season opener due to the hamstring issue after being limited at practice during the week, but he appears on track to make his NFL debut against the Lions on Sunday.

  • David Wells TE | TB

David Wells: Joins Tampa Bay's practice squad

The Buccaneers signed Wells to their practice squad Wednesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Wells was cut from Tennessee's practice squad at the beginning of September, but he finds a new home in Tampa Bay after the Buccaneers released J.J. Howland from their practice squad. Wells made his NFL debut last year, playing 13 snaps (12 offensive) across three games with the Cardinals.

  • Noah Gray TE | KC

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Records 10-yard catch

Gray snagged a 10-yard reception across two targets in Sunday's 44-21 win over the Cardinals.

Starting tight end Travis Kelce had a huge outing in Week 1 (eight receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown on nine targets), but the Chiefs were still able to find playing time for depth options in Gray (36 snaps) and Fortson (22 snaps). Gray and Fortson are still likely to operate mostly as blockers when they're on the field, limiting the upside of both players so long as Kelce and the team's other key pass catchers are available.
