Noah Togiai TE | PHI
Eagles' Noah Togiai: Signs with active roster
The Eagles have promoted Togiai to their active roster ahead of Sunday's season opener against the Lions.
Togiai landed on the team's practice squad after failing to make it through final roster cuts. He now slots in at No. 4 on the tight end depth chart, but he is most likely to contribute via special teams.

Anthony Firkser TE | WAS
Falcons' Anthony Firkser: Elevated to active roster
Atlanta has elevated Firkster to its active roster ahead of Sunday's Week 1 game versus the Saints, Tori McElhaney of the team's official website reports.
Firkster was cut by the Falcons during final roster cuts before returning via the practice squad. He will now be available to provide depth at tight end behind second-year sensation Kyle Pitts.

Logan Thomas TE | SF
Commanders' Logan Thomas: Expected to play in Week 1
Thomas (knee) is expected to play in Sunday's season opener against the Jaguars, despite being listed as questionable for the contest, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Official confirmation of the tight end's Week 1 status, either way, is slated to arrive once the Commanders' inactives are posted 90 minutes in advance of Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. If Thomas suits up, he'll provide new quarterback Carson Wentz with another viable option in the passing game. That said, it's unclear how much of a workload Thomas will handle while he makes his return from surgery to repair a torn ACL, a procedure he underwent Dec. 17. After Thomas, the Commanders have John Bates, Armani Rogers and Cole Turner (hamstring) as their other options at tight end.

Commanders' Logan Thomas: Trending in right direction
John Keim of ESPN.com relays that he's been told that Thomas (knee) -- who is listed as questionable by the Commanders -- is ready to play in Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
The tight end, who is bouncing back from knee surgery that he underwent back on Dec. 17, was limited at practice this week, but he appears to be trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff. If Thomas does suit up, it remains to be seen how much of a workload he might see in Week 1, with John Bates also in the mix along with Armani Rogers and possibly Cole Turner (hamstring).

Darren Waller TE | MIA
Raiders' Darren Waller: Signs massive extension
Waller agreed to three-year, $51 million contract extension Saturday with the Raiders, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The new deal keeps the Pro Bowler with the Raiders through the 2027 season, but more importantly pays Waller among the upper echelon of players at his position. The 30-year-old missed a solid chunk of training camp and preseason with a hamstring injury that some suggested could have been a way to enact a stealth holdout, but the issue was resolved just before the end of August with Waller practicing at full health over the last two weeks. Expect the star pass catcher to once again see a lion's share of the targets even with All-Pro wideout Davante Adams now in the fold.

George Kittle TE | SF
49ers' George Kittle: Officially questionable
Kittle (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Chicago, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Fantasy managers need to have another tight end lined up after Kittle injured his calf Monday and missed practice the rest of the week. A 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff makes things easier if he comes down to a game-time decision, though it's wise to look to another team for a replacement given that the Niners could respond to a Kittle absence with a timeshare of Charlie Woerner, Tyler Kroft and Ross Dwelley. The team's online depth chart lists Woerner as the second-string TE, but Dwelley typically filled in for Kittle in the past, while Kroft has twice as many NFL receptions as the other two combined (still only 101).

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Cardinals' Zach Ertz: Questionable for Week 1
Ertz (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Ertz sandwiched limited sessions around Thursday's DNP this week due to the calf injury that forced him out of practice Aug. 4. He missed the entire preseason slate as a result of the issue, but the Cardinals' decision to rest all of their top skill-position talent likely meant he wouldn't have seen action anyway. While Ertz seems to be trending toward active status Sunday, the team is expected to have a better bearing on how much action he'll be able to handle, if any, as of Saturday, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com.

Donald Parham Jr. TE | PIT
Chargers' Donald Parham: Doubtful for opener
Parham (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's season opener against the Raiders.
With Parham -- who didn't practice this week -- not likely to suit up Sunday, Tre' McKitty figures to see added snaps Week 1 behind top tight end Gerald Everett.

George Kittle TE | SF
49ers' George Kittle: Not spotted Friday
Kittle (groin) isn't present for the media-access portion of Friday's practice, suggesting he's unlikely to play Sunday in Chicago, Jerry McDonald of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Kittle was injured Monday and hasn't practiced since then, though coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday morning that he still was hoping the tight end would be alright, per Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle. Even if an extended absence isn't in order, Kittle seems unlikely to play in the season opener. It remains to be seen how the Niners will list him on their final injury report Friday evening.

Mitchell Wilcox TE | NE
Bengals' Mitchell Wilcox: Listed as questionable for Sunday
Wilcox (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's season opener against the Steelers, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Wilcox suffered a left ankle injury during the team's first preseason game and was sidelined until he returned to practice in a limited fashion Monday. He was limited throughout the week but was listed as a full participant Friday, giving him a chance to suit up Sunday. If available, Wilcox will compete with Drew Sample for backup snaps behind Hayden Hurst.
