  • Nick Eubanks TE | IND

    Nick Eubanks: Waived by Cincinnati

The Bengals waived Eubanks on Tuesday, Andrew Kahn of MLive.com reports.

Eubanks is still looking for a chance to make his NFL debut, but he won't stick with Cincinnati's initial 53-man roster. He could be a candidate to resurface on the Bengals' practice squad. As a rookie in 2021, Eubanks spent time on the Eagles and Lions' practice squads.

  • Miller Forristall: Let go by Cleveland

The Browns waived Forristall on Tuesday, Anthony Poisal of the team's official site reports.

Forristall appeared in his first two NFL games last year, totaling 28 snaps (11 offensive), and signed a futures deal with Cleveland in January. However, he finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline.

  • Adam Trautman TE | DEN

Saints' Adam Trautman: Has cleared concussion protocol

Trautman missed time recently while in the concussion protocol but has since been cleared and is healthy heading into Week 1, Jeff Nowak of Audacy Sports reports.

In Trautman's own words, he "banged his head up a little," but the tight end is now practicing without limitations. He's expected to open the season atop the depth chart at his position after totaling 263 yards and two touchdowns in 2021.

  • Chris Myarick TE | MIA

Giants' Chris Myarick: Expected back at practice

Myarick (foot) is expected back at practice this week, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Myarick is dealing with a minor foot injury, but he should be back practicing at some point this week. The tight end is expected to be the primary backup option behind rookie Daniel Bellinger (concussion) this season.

  • Blake Bell TE | KC

Chiefs' Blake Bell: Expected to start season on IR

Bell (hip) is expected to make the Chiefs' initial 53-man roster then be placed on IR, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.

Bell's placement on IR won't be season-ending due to him making Kansas City's initial 53-man roster, but he will be required to miss at least the first four games of the season once the move is made official. Once healthy, Bell is expected to handle an important depth role behind Travis Kelce.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Progressing in recovery

Bellinger (concussion) appears to be moving through the concussion protocol rapidly, Art Stapleton of The Record Sports reports, as the tight end was spotted on the field during Tuesday's practice.

Concussions can have varying severities and return timelines, but Bellinger's appears to be mild considering he was able to take the field just two days after the injury, even if he wasn't doing much during the portion of practice available to the media. While he has yet to officially get the green light, it seems likely that the rookie fourth-round pick will be cleared in time to suit up for the Giants' Sept. 11 season opener in Tennessee.

  • Michael Jacobson: Let go by Indianapolis

The Colts waived Jacobson on Tuesday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Jacobson joined the Colts' practice squad in October of 2021 after opening the season on the Seahawks' practice squad. He signed a futures deal with Indianapolis in January but finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. The former Iowa State basketball player has yet to appear in an NFL regular season game.

  • Tyler Mabry TE | CAR

Tyler Mabry: Cut loose by Seattle

Mabry was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Mabry is the odd-man out at tight end after the Seahawks acquired Noah Fant from the Broncos via trade this offseason. Mabry was on the active roster for eight games with the Seahawks last year, operating mostly as a special-teams option. He will likely return to the team's practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

  • Kendall Blanton: Cut by Washington

Blanton was cut by the Commanders on Tuesday.

Blanton seemed likely to make the team after being claimed on waivers during the preseason, but the former Rams tight end failed to make the 53-man roster. Washington's willingness to part ways with Blanton could be a positive indicator regarding the health of top tight ends Logan Thomas (knee) and John Bates (calf).

  • Tommy Sweeney TE | CHI

    Bills' Tommy Sweeney: Indirect promotion

Sweeney's teammate O.J. Howard was released by the Bills on Tuesday.

Howard, a 2017 first-rounder for the Buccaneers, never really shined for the Bills this summer while Sweeney took a big step forward, as he's been praised by the coaching staff for weeks. Unless the Bills bring in a veteran, the 2019 seventh-round selection is set to serve as the No. 2 tight end behind Dawson Knox, and Sweeney could get plenty of looks in a high-powered offense should Knox go down with injury.
