  • Tyler Higbee TE | LAR

Rams' Tyler Higbee: Joins teammates on COVID-19 list

Higbee was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.

The timing will make it difficult for Higbee to play, even with the Week 15 matchup against Seattle pushed back to Tuesday on account of the Rams' COVID-19 outbreak. It's been a frustrating week for the tight end, as he missed Monday's win over the Cardinals due to what was later deemed a false positive. He's now back on the reserve/COVID-19 list, along with a slew of teammates, including reserve tight ends Brycen Hopkins and Johnny Mundt. As of Friday afternoon, Kendall Blanton was the only TE remaining on L.A.'s active roster.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Diagnosed with concussion

The Chargers announced that Parham sustained a concussion in Thursday's 34-28 overtime loss to the Chiefs but is otherwise resting comfortably and is likely to be discharged from a hospital later Friday.

Though the concussion clouds Parham's availability heading into the final three games of the regular season, the diagnosis is a welcome outcome after the tight end appeared to lose consciousness and was subsequently stretchered off the field early in the first quarter when his head slammed hard into the ground. Fortunately for Parham, he was deemed to be in stable condition upon arriving at the hospital, and follow-up tests and imaging revealed nothing beyond the concussion. He'll now have to navigate the NFL's five-step protocol for head injuries as the Chargers prepare for a Dec. 26 matchup with the Texans in Week 16.

  • Travis Kelce TE | KC

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Career-best yardage total in win

Kelce brought in 10 of 13 targets for 191 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs' 34-28 overtime win over the Chargers on Thursday night.

Kelce paced the Chiefs in receiving yardage with what was a career-high tally, and the second of his two touchdowns, a 34-yarder in overtime, sealed the comeback win for Kansas City. The perennial Pro Bowler had also hauled in a game-tying seven-yard scoring strike from Patrick Mahomes with 1:16 remaining in regulation to give him his first multi-touchdown day since Week 1 against the Browns. Kelce's first opportunity to follow up what was a season high in receptions comes in a Week 16 home matchup a week from Sunday.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Suffers head injury

Parham suffered a head injury in Thursday's game against the Chiefs and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

It appeared that Parham had hauled in a touchdown in the back corner of the end zone to conclude the Chargers' opening drive. However, he suffered a head injury on the play and spent several minutes being tended to by trainers before taken off the field on a stretcher. There's no further official word on the injury, though he was seen moving his extremities.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Fits in limited practice Thursday

Kittle (knee) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Kittle is ramping up his activity after sitting out Wednesday's session due to a sore knee. With this development, he's trending in a positive direction and may even be cleared entirely once the 49ers release their final injury report of the week Friday.

  • Pharaoh Brown TE | ARI

Texans' Pharaoh Brown: Misses practice Thursday

Brown (illness) was absent from the Texans' practice Thursday.

Brown -- who didn't catch a pass in Week 14 -- practiced Wednesday before popping up on the injury report Thursday as a non-participant, putting his availability for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in question. The 27-year-old led Houston's tight ends in snaps last week versus the Seahawks with 52, but if he can't go in Week 15, Antony Auclair and Brevin Jordan would likely both play larger roles at the position.

  • Jesse James TE | LV

Bears' Jesse James: Placed on reserve/COVID-19 list

James was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.

The tight end will now likely be unavailable for the team's Monday night matchup with the Vikings as he goes through COVID-19 protocols. With Cole Kmet (illness), Jesper Horsted (illness) and Jimmy Graham (knee) questionable for Week 15, J.P. Holtz is the only healthy option remaining at the position going into Friday.

  • Hayden Hurst TE | LAC

Falcons' Hayden Hurst: Logs full practice Thursday

Hurst (illness) practiced in full Thursday.

One day removed from sitting out due to an illness, Hurst returned and handled every rep thrown his way. Playing behind rookie standout Kyle Pitts this season, Hurst has accrued a 21-161-2 line on 26 targets in 10 appearances.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Bears' Jimmy Graham: Listed as limited Thursday

Graham (knee) was listed as limited on Thursday's practice estimate.

Who may be available at tight end for Chicago on Monday against the Vikings is in flux. Not only is Graham on the injury report, Cole Kmet and Jesper Horsted didn't practice Thursday due to illness, and Jesse James (undisclosed) was one of five Bears to be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Those four players aside, J.P. Holtz is the sole healthy TE on the active roster.

  • Foster Moreau TE | HOU

Raiders' Foster Moreau: Cleared for third straight start

Moreau (abdomen) remained a limited participant in Thursday's practice but doesn't have an injury designation for Saturday's game against the Browns, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.

Though Las Vegas capped Moreau's reps throughout the week, he displayed enough progress in his recovery from the abdominal injury for the Raiders to give him the green light for the weekend. Meanwhile, Darren Waller (knee/back) failed to practice in any capacity and will miss his third straight game, paving the way for Moreau to pick up another start. In his previous two outings while filling in for Waller, Moreau was on the field for 106 of the Raiders' 116 offensive snaps (91.4 percent) and stringed together a 4-47-0 receiving line on nine targets.
